AN: This chapter is set during "Once Upon a Swap". Trixie090306 and I couldn't figure out a way to write our characters into the episode so we decided to have some bonding time with the gang while Luz, Eda, and King are busy. Hope you enjoy.

After the library incident, Amity had started to become nicer around the gang. She has been hanging out with them and even started to have a little fun. Today Leon, Crystal, and the twins were gonna reveal the hideout to the gang. The four were standing in a clearing in the woods, waiting for their friends. They notice Willow, Gus, and Amity approaching.

Leon: Hey, guys. Glad you could make it.

Amity: It still feels awkward hanging out with you guys.

Edric: Relax, Mittens. Don't think about it to much.

Emira: Just let it happen naturally.

Amity: Okay.

Gus: Wait, where's Luz?

Willow: Yeah, I thought she'd be here.

Crystal: Mom needed some extra help. And since I would draw too much unwanted attention, Luz was her only option.

Amity: Oh yeah, I forgot you were a wanted criminal. Anyway, what is it you wanted to show us?

Leon: Follow us.

The gang walk further into the woods as Leon leads them. Eventually, they arrive at the abandoned building that the twins had found. Willow, Gus, and Amity were amazed by the discovery. The gang went inside and were immediately greeted by the living room.

Amity: Wow, amazing.

Gus: This is our hideout? Ed and Em did an amazing job finding this place.

Emira: You should thank Leon and Crystal for helping us decorate.

Edric: The living room at least.

Amity: Really? What about the rest of the building?

Leon: Well, we wanted to leave that to you guys. There's plenty of empty rooms, so we're letting you set up your own areas.

Willow, Amity, and Gus grew starry eyed from hearing that.

Willow/Amity/Gus: Thanks guys!

The three immediately run off and get to work while Leon, Crystal, and the twins laugh to themselves.

Crystal: I can't wait to see how they do.

Emira: I bet Amity will take the largest.

Edric: She's gonna need that space for a library.

Leon: I can't wait to see that. I'll be in my lab if you guys need me.

Crystal: Alright, see you in a bit.

Leon walks off into his lab. When Leon enters, he takes a good look at his lab, satisfied with how he set it up.

Leon opened up one of his note books, heated up the cauldron and got to work. Back with Crystal, she went off to her room on the third floor.

Crystal immediately lays down and starts reading a book from her shelf. As Crystal was reading, she felt someone lay down next to her and looks to see Edric.

Crystal: Oh, hey Ed.

Edric: Watcha reading?

Crystal: Oh nothing, just a romance novel.

Edric: Oh yeah, you did say you liked those books. I guess I picked that up from our little dance the other night.

Crystal: Yeah. So, how are things in Hexside?

Edric: Eh, it's kind of boring. the only fun Emira and I have while there is when we pull our usual pranks. Honestly, it'd be more fun if you and Luz were there.

Crystal: We'd love to, but I'd have to convince mom though.

Edric: I'm sure you'd be amazing. With the magic you know, you'd probably be one of the top students.

Crystal: Maybe, but what if I'm judged because I'm the Owl Lady's daughter? What if I embarrass myself? What if-

Before she could continue her panicking rant, Edric suddenly hugs her close and comforts her. Crystal blushes from the sudden affection. She eventually calms down and cuddles with Edric.

Edric: *looks at Crystal's face* Hey, listen. Don't think too hard about it. Just remember that we'll always see you as great.

Crystal: *smiles* Thank you, Edric. You always know how to cheer me up.

The two gaze into each others eyes without realizing that they started holding each others hand and get closer to each other until their faces were only a couple of inches away. The two eventually notice what they were doing and quickly back away from each other while blushing.

Crystal: That was . . . something.

Edric: Yeah, we should check on everyone.

Crystal: *stands up* Agreed, let's go.

The two head downstairs to Leon's lab to see him working. Leon looks up from his cauldron and smiles at the two.

Leon: Oh, hey there you love birds.

Crystal/Edric: *blushes* Shut up!!!

Leon: *chuckles* I couldn't resist.

Edric: *looking around* I'm amazed by your lab, I especially love the branch shelf.

Leon: Thanks, Crystal helped with that one.

Crystal: I thought it would look nice with the setup.

Leon: Well, it does.

Edric: We were just wondering how you were doing.

Leon: Well, I'm doing alright. I was actually about to see how everyone was doing.

Crystal: I'll join you if you like.

Leon: Oh, sure Crystal.

Edric: I'll be with Emira in our planning room.

Leon: Okay, c'mon Crystal.

Edric walks off to join Emira while Leon and Crystal go to check on everyone. They start with Amity who had settled in to a large room on the first floor.

Leon: Wow, Edric wasn't kidding about that whole library thing.

Crystal: I'm amazed that Amity set up this space on her own.

Amity: Well, I tend to work fast.

The two quickly turn around to see Amity smiling at them.

Leon: Are you sure your siblings didn't teach you any tricks? *grins*

Amity: I might have picked up on their sneaking habits. *chuckles*

Crystal: Well, you've certainly outdone yourself. *examines a book from the shelf*

Amity: Thanks, I thought it would be the perfect spot. It's large, quiet, and a good living space.

Leon: Luz will certainly like it. You two will be reading for hours.

Crystal: Agreed.

Amity nods, but Leon notices her frown slightly.

Leon: Hey, you okay?

Amity: Huh? Oh, yeah I'm fine.

Crystal: Are you sure?

Amity: *sighs* Do you think our classmates will forgive me? After how I treated them?

Leon and Crystal look at each other in thought. Leon sits with Amity to speak.

Leon: Well, maybe not immediately. They will have a hard time trusting you and they probably will still be afraid of you.

Amity gets a sad look from hearing that.

Leon: But, things will get better over time. You just need to give them time to see the new you.

Amity looks at Crystal who smiles and nods. Amity looks back at Leon and smiles.

Amity: Thanks for the pep talk, Brewer. I'm still surprised that you're willing to help me out with this.

Leon: I'm always willing to help people through their problems. Now I'm just hoping that Boscha gets it through her thick skull.

Amity: *laughs* I doubt it, but we can still hope.

Crystal: Yeah, well we better check the others.

Leon: Right, we'll meet up later, Am's.

Amity: See you later, Brewer.

Leon and Crystal smile and leave to head up to the second floor. They come across Gus, who was setting up a small room for himself.

Crystal: Looking good, Gus.

Gus: I thought you'd like it. I just wanted somewhere more calm and quiet.

Leon: Small indeed, it's nice to have a quiet space.

Gus: Indeed, how's everyone else settling in?

Crystal: Amity is doing alright, she set up an entire library in her area.

Leon: I'm glad she's settling in well. Wait till you see the other rooms.

Gus: Really?

Crystal: Yep, like the kitchen and the work I've done on the roof that I'm sure Willow will love.

Leon: Speaking of which, what room did she take?

Gus: Probably the one with the most natural light.

Crystal: Then, she's probably next door to me.

Leon: We'll let you continue getting settled in, Gus.

Gus: Alright, I'll see you later.

Leon and Gus fist bump before he and Crystal walk off to see Willow and her progress. As they are walking, they walk by the twins room with its door open. The twins smile at the two and wave, Leon and Crystal wave back in response. They arrive on the third floor and enter the free room that Willow took and were immediately blown away by her work on the place.

They head further in and find Willow tending to a few plants.

Leon: Willow, this is amazing.

Crystal: This has officially become my favorite room in the place.

Willow: I'm glad you like it. When I found these plants in here, I knew I just had to tend to them.

Crystal: Glad we agree. Wait till you see the roof.

Willow: The roof?

Leon: Oh, you'll love it.

Leon and Crystal lead Willow to the roof. When on the roof, Willow couldn't help but smile at the sight she sees.

Willow: This is beautiful!

Crystal: Thanks, I've tended to the place whenever I could. If you want, you can hang out with me here. Think of it as our personal garden.

Willow: I'd love that! *hugs Crystal*

Leon smiles at the sight while Crystal and Willow hug. Leon turns when he hears footsteps. He see's Emira come up stairs.

Emira: I see you already showed the roof to Willow.

Leon: We knew she would love it. How are the others settling in?

Emira: They're pretty much done. They're all hanging out downstairs.

Leon: Alright, we should join them.

Emira: *blushes* Actually, I wanted to spend some time alone. With you.

Leon: Oh, um okay. *blushes*

Leon and Emira walk off to another part of the roof. They arrive at a small gazebo, surrounded by vines and roses.

Emira: So, how is the training with Vitimir?

Leon: Good, it's good. He's taught me quite a bit. He's told me some things about the other coven heads as well. They're all quite interesting.

Emira: You might need to tell us at some point.

Leon: Agreed. *picks a rose* So, what did you want to talk about?

Emira blushes while slowly approaching Leon.

Emira: Well, um, you see, we've known each other for a few months now. And, you've been on my mind for quite some time now.

Leon: *blushes* You have?

Emira: *nods* You're a wonderful person, Lee. I enjoy all the time we spend together. You're funny, kind, smart, and you are kind of cute. *blushes*

Leon: *blushes and smiles* That's really sweet of you Emira. *holds her hand* I know how you feel. I've thought the same about you for a while now as well. *hands her the rose*

Emira: *takes the rose and smiles* Leon, it's beautiful. I guess, what I'm trying to say is-

Emira/Leon: I think I'm in love with you.

The two grow wide eyed and blush from each others response.

Leon: How long have you been waiting to say that?

Emira: About as long as you have I'm sure.

The two end up chuckling and sit with each other.

Emira: *leans on Leon's shoulder* So, we've crushed on each other for months and never built up the courage to talk to each other?

Leon: I guess so. At least we finally decided to work up the courage. So, does this make us a couple now?

Emira: I think so. We'll just have to see where this goes.

The two smile at each other before slowly moving towards each other for a kiss. They almost kiss but get interrupted by someone getting their attention. They both look to see Amity grinning at the two who quickly back up and blush.

Leon: Am! H-how long have you been standing there?

Amity: Since the part where you two admitted your feelings for each other.

Emira: Oh, well this is awkward.

Amity: Hey, I won't judge. Honestly, you two seem pretty adorable.

Leon: Thanks, Am.

Amity: No worries, Brewer. Crystal is cooking dinner by the way, so meet us down stairs when you're done flirting up here.

Amity walks back downstairs. Emira looks at Leon with a smile and raised brow.

Emira: Am?

Leon: Yeah, she calls me Brewer for a nickname. I thought I'd try something and Am, was the first thing I thought of. I know, it's a working title.

Emira: I'm sure you'll think of something. Now c'mon, let's go eat.

Emira leans in and kisses Leon's cheek before walking off. Leon held his cheek and smiled before following after her. Unknown to him, Vitimir was watching from the shadows in a nearby tree.

Vitimir: *chuckles* I couldn't be anymore proud of you, kiddo. *sighs* I'll tell you the truth one day.
