After the Covention, Leon had told the gang about his encounter with Vitimir. The gang was surprised that Leon was offered to become the protégé of a coven head. This was a pretty big offer that laid heavily on Leon's thoughts. As for Crystal, she became a wanted criminal after her performance at the Covention. Crystal had to mostly hide her face from the guards now, but Eda was happy that her daughter got her wanted poster. Leon would have considered this odd, but he's come to know that this is just how Eda's family is like. Leon had brought up what happened with his parents, Sylvia and Albert, and they were quite shocked. Albert was encouraging his son that he should go for it while Sylvia was skeptical of her son getting involved with something like this. Leon had spent the next few days thinking about it while trying to find something else. He had been spending some time in the woods on his own, playing his ocarina. He was trying to recreate what he had felt during the storm the other day. Unfortunately, he had no luck.

It was night time, and Leon was wondering near the market. He was deep in thought about Vitimir's offer.

Leon: I don't think I've ever thought about something so much in my life. If I accept, I'll gain access to advance potion training. But, it would leave me with some heavy responsibility. Not to mention I'd gain a bit of un-wanted attention at school.

Leon thought about his options when he suddenly bumps into Amity and Boscha.

Boscha: Hey, watch it twerp! *realizes who it is and smiles menacingly* Well, if it isn't Not-a-Witch Leon.

Leon: *annoyed* Hey Boscha. Still feeding students to lockers?

Boscha: More like, practicing Grudgby for the big season. I am our schools team captain after all. Though, you wouldn't know what it's like.

Amity: Lay off him, Boscha. It's not worth patronizing him.

Leon is still shocked hearing Amity act like this. It seems like ever since her duel with Luz, she had been going easy on everyone.

Amity: Though, I am curious if the rumors are true.

Boscha: Oh right, that.

Leon: I don't like where this is going. What rumors?

Boscha: There's been talk around Hexside that a student overheard an offer from Vitimir to you. Supposedly you were offered to become his protégé.

Leon's eyes widen from hearing that. Amity and Boscha take notice and grin.

Amity: Never mind, your face says it all.

Boscha: Don't worry, we'll keep this one to ourselves.

Amity and Boscha chuckle as they walk off. Leon watches them leave with a nervous look.

Leon: Well, so much for keeping my classmates from knowing.

Leon continues walking until he noticed Crystal, who was wearing a hood to hide herself. Leon smiles and approaches her.

Leon: Hey, what's up Crystal?

Crystal: *panicked whispering* Shh! Leon, don't say my name out loud! I'm a wanted criminal now, remember!?

Leon: Oh, sorry. So, what brings you out of the Owl House?

Crystal: Mom needed me to get some groceries, so here I am.

Leon: She couldn't get the stuff herself?

Crystal: The curse is taking affect again and she's out of elixir. So she's out at the night market to get some since the potion shop is out of stock.

Leon: Rats, that sucks. What about Luz?

Crystal: Don't tell mom about this, but she's actually having a moonlight conjuring with Willow and Gus.

Leon: Nice, I wonder what they're gonna conjure. Hopefully nothing monstrous.

Crystal: Well, I'll know when I head home.

Leon: Well hey, the night is still young. What do you say we hang out for a bit?

Crystal thinks it over for a bit before shrugging her shoulders.

Crystal: I guess theirs no harm in it.

Leon: Great, c'mon.

The two begin walking while they chat.

Crystal: So, have you thought about Vitimir's offer?

Leon: I have. I'm not sure what to do.

Crystal: I know it's a hard choice for you. I only had an easy answer because I was protecting my mom.

Leon: Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of. I might be forced to go against you guys depending on the situation if I accept.

Crystal: I would hate needing to fight you. How about we talk about something else and get your mind off it.

Leon: I would like that, thank you.

Crystal: So, have you spoken to Ed and Em lately?

Leon: Yeah, it's always fun to hang out with them. Emira has been acting strange around me recently though.

Crystal: Hmm, maybe she's got something on her mind.

Leon: Maybe. They actually wanted to see you again.

Crystal: Really?

Leon: Yeah, they thought you'd want to hang out some time.

Crystal: I would like to see them again.

Leon: By the way, Edric thinks you're cute.

Crystal: *blushing* W-wait what!?

Leon: Speaking of which, look over there.

Leon points out the twins pulling pranks on people. Leon gets a mischievous grin as he drinks his invisibility potion and approaches the twins, unseen. Leon gets behind the two and grabs their shoulders.

Leon: Guess who?

Edric/Emira: AAAHHH!!!

The twins jump from fright while Leon starts laughing as he reappears.

Edric: Oh thank Titan it's you, Leon.

Leon: You should have seen the look on your faces.

Emira: I'll admit, it was kind of funny.

The three turn when they hear Crystal laughing who quickly stops when she noticed that they were looking at her.

Crystal: Um, hey guys.

Emira: Oh, it's you.

Edric: Yeah, Crystal right?

Crystal: Yeah, I'm glad to see you two again.

Emira: So, you're a wanted criminal now?

Emira shows a wanted poster of Crystal, who was shown standing on some vines with her hands and eyes glowing green.

Crystal: *worried* Look, I can explain.

Edric: Relax, we're not gonna turn you in.

Emira: We know you must have had a good reason.

Crystal: Oh good, thank you. How about we go somewhere more secluded and I'll tell you all about it.

Edric: Oh, come with us!

Emira: We know just the spot.

Leon and Crystal follow the twins who lead them to an abandoned building. Inside, Leon and Crystal were amazed by the size and amount of open space.

Leon: Wow, this is amazing. Really spacious.

Crystal: How did you find this place?

Edric: We were up to our usual fun as always when the guards chased after us.

Emira: We gave them the slip by hiding in here. We wanted to show you this place. Figured it would make a nice hideout for us.

Leon: Well I say you just hit the jackpot. I can see plenty of possibilities. A rec room over there, a chill space here, I could set up a potion workshop over there . . .

Leon would continue while everyone laughed. Leon eventually stops when he realizes that he's been talking too long.

Leon: *chuckles nervously* Sorry, this is just so exciting.

Emira: *giggles* It's cute when you're so enthusiastic. *freezes and blushes* I mean cool! It's cool when you're enthusiastic!

Leon looks at her with confusion while Edric is trying to hold his laughter.

Leon: Right.

Crystal: Well, how about we clean this place up and make it more livable?

The three nod as they all get to work. They spent the next few minutes cleaning the place up. Crystal and Edric dusted a few cobwebs and even had some fun by tickling each other with their feather dusters which left them on the ground laughing. Leon chuckles to himself as he watches the two having fun. Emira is arranging furniture with Leon and occasionally stops to watch Leon with a smile. After finishing, they all sat down to listen to Crystal talk about what happened at the Covention.

Edric: I'm sorry, you attacked TWO coven heads, one of which was your aunt?

Crystal: Yeah, I couldn't just stand there. They were gonna hurt my mom.

Emira: I'm more impressed that you managed to hold your own against Snapdragon. Plants and Potions?

Crystal: I also know beast keeping and healing magic.

Edric: Cool. You're pretty cool, Crystal.

Crystal: *giggles and blushes* Thanks, Ed.

Leon: Are there any other forms of magic you want to learn?

Crystal: Well, I always wanted to learn illusions. They always seemed fun.

Edric thinks for a moment. He looks between the three and gets an idea.

Edric: Hey, how about I teach you?

Crystal: Really!?

Edric: Yeah, we can go somewhere more open and private and leave Emira with Leon.

Emira: *freezes* L-l-leave me alone? W-with Leon? J-just the two of us?! *face goes completely red*

Edric: Exactly. *winks to Emira*

Crystal: Let's go!

Crystal drags Edric out to practice illusion magic, leaving Leon and Emira alone. The two shift awkwardly in their seats as they think of something to talk about.

Emira: So, how was the Covention?

Leon: It was alright. *walks over and sits next to Emira* I helped out some potion brewers with a potion. Got a new brew out of it. *shows a maroon potion*

Emira: Wow, what's this one do?

Leon: Drink this, and you'll get a strength boost. Seriously, they tried on a rat and it got buff.

Emira thinks of the situation but blushes when she imagines Leon drinking it.

Emira: That's, pretty cool.

Leon: Yeah, it actually got me noticed by Vitimir.

Emira: *eyes widen* The potion coven head!?

Leon: Yeah, he wants me to become his protégé.

Emira: Wow, that's quite the honor.

Leon: Yeah, I just don't know if I should.

Emira: *scoots closer* How come?

Leon: Well, I'd be involved with someone who upholds the law. Meaning I might be forced to fight my friends and family.

Emira: Oh, I guess I can understand. I wouldn't know what to choose either.

Leon: It's really eating away at my thoughts. *looks down*

Emira: *places her hand on his* Well whatever you choose, I'll support you no matter what.

Leon: *looks at Emira and smiles* Thanks, Emira.

Emira smiles as the two start to relax and talk about small things. Meanwhile with Edric and Crystal, they were in the basement of the building that they quickly reshape into an arena with some training dummies.

Edric: Alright, this will make a good training area for us.

Crystal: Agreed, now let's get to why we're here.

Edric: Right, let's begin.

Edric spent the next few minutes teaching Crystal how to use illusions. She has trouble at first but Edric encourages her to keep going. Eventually she gets it right, and is actually doing well with some basic illusion clones. Edric helps her adjust her stance which results in her blushing a little from the physical contact. After a while, the two take a break and are sitting down.

Edric: You're pretty good at this.

Crystal: Thanks, helps that I had a good teacher.

Edric blushed a little from her response as they both laughed.

Edric: So, is there any reason for the magic types you've chosen?

Crystal: Yeah, I want to help people. I just want to do what I believe is right. And if I'm a wanted criminal for it, fine.

Edric was enamored by her words as he smiles.

Edric: That's pretty brave of you. I guess you're like a vigilante now.

Crystal: Yeah, I guess so. And my mom has never been more proud. She already has hung my wanted poster with hers.

Edric: *chuckles* Looks like you really do take after your mother. *playfully punches her shoulder*

Crystal: *giggles* Shut up.

The two of them talk for a bit before returning upstairs to Emira and Leon. The four hang out for a bit longer before parting ways. Leon and Crystal are on their way back to the Owl House while making small talk. Leon suddenly stops when he feels that they're being watched.

Crystal: Leon, you okay?

Leon: Um, yeah. You go on ahead. I'll catch up.

Crystal: Okay.

Crystal walks on ahead while Leon stays behind. Leon gains a serious look before speaking.

Leon: How long have you been watching us?

Vitimir drops from the trees and approaches Leon.

Vitimir: Since you met up with the twins. I assume you know why I'm here?

Leon: Of course. But if you were watching, then you know that I'm having trouble deciding.

Vitimir: I understand. I can tell how much your family means to you. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to put this much pressure on you.

Leon: *sighs* Thanks. I just know that you'll be reporting to Belos about everything we do.

Vitimir thinks for a moment before speaking.

Vitimir: You know, sometimes I don't answer to Belos.

Leon: What?

Vitimir: I sometimes like to keep to myself. So I'll either reword my reports or just leave some details out. I guess you could say I play by my own rules. *chuckles*

Leon: *smiles* I guess you aren't as bad as I thought.

Vitimir: Thank you. How about this? If you accept, I promise no harm will come to you or your family and friends. And, I'll keep most of our actions and tasks between us.

Leon: You promise?

Vitimir: I promise. I'm technically not even supposed to be out here this late. So what do you say kid? Are you in, *holds his hand out* or are you out?

Leon thinks for a moment before smiling, nodding, and shaking hands with Vitimir.

Leon: I accept.

Vitimir: I'm glad you agreed.

Leon: So, when do we begin?

Vitimir: I'll be in touch.

Vitimir pulls out a potion and tosses it on the ground creating a smoke screen. When the smoke clears, Vitimir is gone. Leon looks around for Vitimir only to find no trace. He quickly runs to the Owl House and see's Eda and King.

Leon: Hey Eda! Hey King!

Eda: Oh, hey kid.

King: What brings you here, brewer?

Leon: I was hanging out with Crystal and we were heading back here. She does have the groceries you wanted.

Eda: Good, thanks for watching her. I'll be honest, I do fear for her life after she became a criminal.

Leon: You're her mother. It's only natural for you to be protective of your child.

Eda: *smiles* Thanks, kid. Hey wait, aren't I supposed to be the wise one?

Leon: Probably, I question you sometimes.

Eda: *frowns* I suddenly regret letting Crystal hang out with you.

The two laugh as they open the door, only to gain shocked expressions when they find Luz, Willow, Gus, and Crystal standing amongst a wrecked living room.

Crystal: . . . . . . . It wasn't me!!!
