Ever since his encounter with Luz and Crystal, Leon spent some time with them getting to know them for the next few days. Luz told him many things about the Human Realm, and he listened to every word. Luz even played some music from her realm that Leon really loved. As for Crystal, she and Leon bonded over common interests and she even demonstrated her magic skills. Leon had already saw her skills in potions and plants during the day they met, but Leon learned that she's also good with animals, thanks to her knowledge in beast keeping. Of course bonding with Luz and Crystal had also lead him to bonding with the rest of Crystal's family. Eda he had already met during his first day of Hexside, turns out she's a wild witch, but she's well respected among the people of Bonesborough. King was pretty adorable when he tries having a sense of authority. And then there's Hooty. Hooty was. . . interesting to say the least. He kind of does his own thing, whatever that is.

Today, Leon was wandering the woods (dressed in his casual wear that he bought from Eda), looking for potion ingredients. As he was walking, he was listening to some music on a device that he had bought from Eda's shop at one point. Luz said it was called an MP3 player. Leon hums with the tune as he walks until he spots some glowing bulb plants.

Leon: Flash Bulbs, perfect for my flash bang potions.

Leon walks over to the plants to harvest them, taking extra care not to set them off and blind himself. Leon spent some time finding other ingredients for his potions, including basilisk scales from an abandoned nest for his invisibility potions, unstable geode crystals for his explosive potions, rush spores for his speed potions, breath of fire breathing snapdragon flowers for his smoke screen potions, and sleeping nettles for his sleep gas potions.

Leon: Alright, that should do it.

As Leon was about to head home, he hears the sound of thunder and noticed a rain drop hit the ground and burn a flower. Leon immediately gets worried when he realizes what's happening.

Leon: Uh oh, boiling rain!

Leon quickly throws his satchel around his shoulder and runs to find cover from the rain. Eventually he comes across a cave and heads inside.

Leon: Phew, that was too close. I better text my parents to tell them I'm alright.

Leon pulls out his scroll and sends a message to his parents to let them know he's safe.

Leon: 'Didn't have time to get home, found cover in a nearby cave.'

Sylvia (mom): 'I'm glad you're okay, sweetie. Please come home as soon as the rain stops. Love you.'

Leon: *smiles* 'Will do. Love you to, mom.'

Leon puts away his scroll and pulls out his journal. Since his first day at Hexside, Leon has been keeping a track record of his life and personal thoughts in a journal which just got more interesting in recent events. After logging his thoughts, he puts away his journal and starts playing his ocarina.

???: Who's there?

???: Are you the cause of that music?

Leon stops playing and faces the voices where he finds the twins.

Leon: Oh, Ed, Em! Boy, am I glad to see you two.

Edric: Same here, this was the only cover we could find from the boiling rain.

Emira: So how did you find yourself here?

Leon: *sits on the ground with the twins while setting sticks for a fire* Well, I was just out here gathering potion ingredients and before I could get home, the rain starts and I ran in here.

Emira: *sits to Leon's right* Well, it's a good thing we found each other.

Edric: *sits to Leon's left* Yeah, we can have a nice talk while we wait for the rain to die down. Need me to light the fire?

Leon: No thanks. Allow me to show you how "Not-a-Witch" starts fires.

Edric and Emira chuckle from that. Leon pulls out an explosive potion and holds it over the fire. He pops the cork off and taps a small drop on the wood which results in a tiny burst which sets the wood ablaze. Leon smiles and puts the cork back on as the twins admire his work.

Leon: And let there be light.

Emira: Wow, that's amazing.

Edric: I'm amazed you can pull things like that with just potions.

Leon: Well, when you have no magic, you have to start thinking outside the box.

Emira: With your skills, you're practically a scientist.

Leon: Well then you can just call me Leon, junior scientist.

Emira: *laughs* How do you come up with these jokes.

Leon: I guess I picked it up from you guys.

Edric: Guess we had a good influence on you.

Leon: I guess so. So, what do you guys want to talk about?

Edric: You could tell us where you got your bad boy look.

Leon: Oh, you like my jacket? It's some clothing from the human realm that I bought from Eda. You like it?

Edric: Definitely, it suits you.

Emira: Makes you look cool and handsome.

Leon: Why thank you, Lady Blight.

Emira: Oh, no need for formalities, Sir Grey

The three laugh from their playful banter. 

Emira: How is that friend of yours, from the other day? The girl, Crystal I think was her name?

Edric: Yeah, she's kind of cute to be honest.

Leon: Oh, she's great. She and I became friends fast. I even bonded well with her family. Turns out, her mother was Eda.

Edric/Emira: The Owl Lady?!

Leon: Yeah, I was just as shocked as you are.

Edric: Sounds like she has a great family.

Emira: We with ours was as friendly.

Leon: Yeah, I understand Amity is trouble.

Edric: Actually, she wasn't always like that.

Leon: Really?

Emira: Yeah, she was one of the friendliest witch's you would ever meet. But I guess living up to our mother's expectations was more important to her.

Leon: Your, mother doesn't sound very friendly.

Edric: She isn't. She never let's us have any fun. All she cares about is business. Doesn't help that she overworks our father.

Leon: That's awful. Pray to titan, I don't meet her.

Edric/Emira: Agreed.

Emira: So, was that you playing earlier?

Leon: *smiles as he pulls out his ocarina* Yeah, my dad taught me. This ocarina was his birthday gift to me when I turned ten.

Emira: He sounds like a great guy.

Leon: He is, Sylvia and Albert are the best parents I could ask for.

Edric: Do you think you could keep playing?

Leon smiles in response and continues playing the ocarina. Edric enjoyed listening while he noticed that Emira seemed more enamored by his music. Edric raises an eyebrow towards Emira while looking between her and Leon. Emira just smiles and blushes in response while looking at Leon. Emera's eyes widen when she see's Leon begin to glow while he continues playing. As the song ends, Leon opens his eyes and looks at the twins shocked expressions with confusion.

Leon: So . . . what did you think?

Emira: That was beautiful. 

Edric: I have no words. But, what was that glowing?

Leon: Glowing? what are you-

Before Leon could ask, he noticed the rain had stopped.

Leon: Oh, looks like the rain has cleared up. We should head home.

Emira: Alright, it was nice seeing you again.

Edric: Let's do this again some time.

Leon: Agreed. Oh wait, you guys want to take a picture before we leave?

Edric/Emira: Sure!

The trio gather together as Leon pulls out his scroll and holds it out in front of them. Edric wraps his arm around Leon's shoulder while Emira leans her head on Leon. Leon was confused by Emira's gesture but just smiles and didn't question it as he takes the picture.

Leon: Alright, I'll see you two later.

Edric/Emira: See you around, Junior Scientist!

Leon smiles from the nickname as he walks home and writes in his journal. Once he's gone, Edric smirks at Emira.

Edric: You have a crush on him, don't you?

Emira: No! Yes? Maybe? I don't know?

Edric: I'm sure you'll figure it out.

The two smile and fist bump before walking home and the screen fades to black.

AN: I know this chapter was shorter then the others. But I wanted to give Leon something to do during the Intruder episode since I couldn't think of a way to work him into the plot naturally. Plus, I felt this would be a good moment for character building. Next is the Convention and Leon will reunite with Crystal for their own little adventure which involves someone special.
