A few days had passed since the trip to the knee, Leon had been practicing his new found bard magic and finished perfecting the ice potions from the permafrost he gathered. Leon currently was walking through the halls of Hexside, deep in thought about the track he's studying.

Leon: I like potions, but I can't ignore this new found magic I have. I could always continue to study and practice in secret. Ugh! If only we were allowed to study multiple tracks!

???: I know what you mean.

Leon freaks out and turns around to see, Crystal. She was now wearing a Hexside uniform with green sleeves and leggings.

Leon: Oh, it's just you Crystal. Glad you made it into Hexside. Plant track, I see. Good work.

Crystal: Thanks, though Luz and I wanted to study multiple tracks. Sounds like you want to as well.

Leon: *sighs* Yeah, I just want to further my potential in bard magic. As of now, I'm just studying in secret.

Crystal: Same here, though I've got my mom to help.

Leon: Yeah, you're lucky. By the way, how goes things between you and Edric?

Crystal: *smiles and blushes* He's wonderful. I've never met someone so loving in my life.

Leon: *grins* Not even your own mother?

Crystal: *laughs and punches his shoulder* You know what I meant.

Leon: *holds his shoulder and chuckles* I know.

The two have a laugh and begin to chat for a bit as they walk. They were having fun until a certain someone called out to them.

Leon: I hope Luz is okay.

Crystal: I was really hoping she wouldn't get detention.

???: Well, if it isn't Not-a-Witch Leon.

Leon frowns and turns to see Boscha. Crystal turned around as well with an equal amount of annoyance.

Leon: Good afternoon, Boscha.

Boscha: Hello again. And I see you're with the Owl Lady's hairball.

Leon furrows his brow while Crystal remains still with a stoic look.

Leon: Watch it, Boscha.

Boscha: *smugly* Or what, you'll throw a beaker at me? Seam's like all you can do without any magic. And I'm not even worried about that human, there's not much she can do.

Leon clenched his fist, but calms when he see's Crystal giving him a calm look and gently holding his shoulder.

Crystal: You may think he's nothing, but that's not saying much. 

Boscha: *cocks an eyebrow*

Crystal: Even though he may not have magic like us, I still think he's better then us. Because last I checked, he's the one being trained by the potion coven head and getting advanced training. So the way I see it, he's three times the witch you are.

Crystal grins at Boscha, who just stood there completely stunned with wide eyes. Leon was just as stunned as he never expected something like that from Crystal.

Leon: Wow.

Crystal: I know just what to say to push someone's buttons.

Boscha quickly turned from stunned to angry and tosses a fireball at the ground near them, causing them to jump.

Boscha: You two think you're so much better, eh? Let's prove it then, in a battle.

Crystal: You mean a witches duel?

Boscha: Exactly! Me, against both of you! If I win, I prove that I'm better and the entire school will know how weak you two are.

Leon: Fine! If we win though, you have to stop picking on everyone, us included.

Boscha: Deal.

The three shake hands, sealing the oath.

Boscha: Meet me on the Grudgby field after lunch. Don't keep me waiting.

Boscha walks away, keeping her eyes on them.

Leon: What did we just get ourselves into?

Crystal: Trouble, that's what.

After lunch, the two head out to the Grudgby field where Boscha stood with a confident smirk.

Boscha: I'm surprised you two didn't chicken out.

Crystal: You're talking to the witch who fought, Terra Snapdragon.

Leon: And I've been waiting for a chance to knock you down a few pegs.

Leon and Crystal stand side by side while Boscha walks onto the field. Leon pulls out a speed potion while Crystal extends her vine bracelets as her eyes glow the signature green color. Boscha grins and conjures a couple fire balls in her hands. The three stand, waiting for the impending battle.

Boscha makes the first move and tosses fire at them, in which they quickly jump out of the way. Leon drinks his speed potion and starts running around Boscha and gets a few strikes in. Boscha attempts to hit him with fire, but keeps missing. Crystal jumps in and starts attacking with her vine whips. She manages to get a few hits in before Boscha grabbed the vines and burned them to a crisp. Crystal grew wide eyed and quickly creates some illusion copies of her and Leon to keep her busy. Boscha looks around, trying to find the real Leon and Crystal by hurling fire at the copies. Eventually Boscha decides to launch a wave of fire and take out all the copies at once while the real Leon and Crystal fall to the ground. Boscha grins and shoots a beam of fire at them. Before it hits though, Leon slams an ice potion into the ground and creates a wall of ice in front of them to block the beam. The wall starts to melt away as Leon and Crystal run out of the way. Leon tosses a few more ice potions onto the field and creates several columns of ice. Leon uses his acrobatics to wall jump to the top before calling out to Boscha.

Leon: It's over now, Boscha! I have the high ground!

Boscha: *grins with anger* We'll see about that!

Boscha blasts the column he's on and melts it while Leon starts jumping across the other columns and tossing explosive potions down at Boscha who dodges in response. She's so distracted that she doesn't notice Crystal swing in and kick her down. She see's Crystal swinging through the ice by using her vines to hold onto the columns. Leon tosses a few flashbang potions down and disorient, Boscha. When her vision comes back, she see's both Leon and Crystal about to strike and quickly retaliates by blasting them both back. Leon and Crystal quickly get back up and run in opposite directions, with Leon tossing down a smokescreen potion and Crystal using her illusion magic to make it appear bigger. While Boscha tries to find them in the smoke, Leon drinks a strength potion, causing his strength to increase dramatically and he slams his fist into the ground, causing the ground to crack under Boscha's feet. Boscha blasts fire from her hands and flies in the air before falling back and blasting fire to slow her decent and clear the smoke. Afterwards she see's Leon running at her. The two quickly lock fists and share punches. Leon starts to get the upper hand until his potion wears off and Boscha quickly overpowers him. Leon falls to the ground and before Boscha make another move, they hear Crystal singing which causes some birds to fly in. Crystal uses her singing and directs the birds to Boscha and they start flying around and pecking Boscha. She shoes the birds away and and continues to fight.

After about an hour, the three are standing in the Grudgby field and breathing heavily after all the chaos.

Boscha: You two had enough yet?

Leon: I can go all day.

Crystal: I've still got plenty of tricks left.

Leon: I have to admit, you're fire is pretty cool.

Boscha: *chuckles* Well, obviously that goes without saying. Both your skills are adequate at best. I'll admit that.

Leon: Thanks.

Crystal: I'll take it.

Before any of them can make another move, they hear screams inside the school. They look at each other before running inside the school. As they run, they're suddenly pulled into a nearby room by the twins who hush them.

Leon: What's going on?

Emira points out the window in response. Leon, Crystal, and Boscha peek out the window to see a greater basilisk running rampant and draining nearby students.

Crystal: Oh dear.

Boscha: That's not good.

Edric: we don't know where it came from, but it's draining the students and staff of their magic.

Emira: We need a plan to take that thing down.

Crystal: Right!

Crystal opens the door and rushes out to fight the basilisk.

Leon: *follows* Crystal, wait!

Crystal runs towards the basilisk and starts to strike it with her vine whips. The basilisk roars before Crystal sends illusion clones to distract it. Leon, Boscha, and the twins watch from behind a corner. Crystal tosses a few explosive potions from her bag and whips it a few more times before the basilisk catches on and manages to drain her.

Leon/Twins/Boscha: Crystal!

Crystal drops to her knees but manages to toss one last potion down the basilisk's mouth which explodes and drives the basilisk away. The gang run over and check on Crystal who's out cold.

Edric: Is she alright?

Leon: *feels Crystal's wrist* She's alive, just out cold.

Emira: What do we do now?

Boscha: You two get her and yourselves somewhere safe and we'll take care of the basilisk.

Leon: We?

Boscha: *to Leon* Yes, we. Me and you. You have the skills to take it on, but you can't take it on alone. So I'm gonna help you, just this once. Got it? *holds her hand out*

Leon looks at her hand before taking it and shaking.

Leon: Right, let's go. It was headed towards the auditorium.

Leon and Boscha run to the auditorium while the twins take Crystal back to the classroom to help her. Leon and Boscha burst into the auditorium and are surprised to see Luz fighting the basilisk along with the detention students.

Leon: What are the detention students doing here?

Boscha: Don't know, don't care. Let's kick this creature in the face. *ignites fire balls and runs in*

Leon shrugs and runs in, pulling out his ocarina.

Boscha hurls some fireballs at the basilisk who attempts to attack in response. Before it could reach her, it's grabbed by Viney and her pet gryphon, Puddles who pull it back and swing it around and into Jerbo who blinds it with some abomination goo and whacking it with some plant vines. The basilisk falls back and roars at them. Leon catches some explosive potions that Barcus tossed to him. Leon nods to Barcus, thanking him before chucking the potions at the basilisk. Luz pulls out some ice glyphs and launches icicles at it which slashes it's skin, causing it to roar out in pain. Everyone continues to strike the beast with their skills until they manage to corner the basilisk who growls at them. Leon steps forward and starts playing his ocarina, which causes the basilisk to become drowsy. While it's distracted, Boscha blasts a fireball at a rope and drops some sand bags onto the basilisk, finishing it off.

The magic that has been devoured comes out of the basilisk and returns to their appropriate witches. Back with the twins, we see Emira using healing magic on Crystal's wounds before her magic returns to her. Crystal shoots awake and breathes deeply. Edric smiles with a few tears and hugs her.

Edric: Thank Titan, you're okay!

Crystal: I'm glad you're okay to, Eddie.

The two share a kiss before Emira gets their attention.

Emira: C'mon, Leon and Boscha are in the auditorium.

The three get up and run to the auditorium. Back with the others, they're celebrating their victory.

Luz: You did it! You were amazing! You guys—

Bump: Are in so much trouble. Leaving your homeroom, mixing magic and—is that a secret hideout?

Willow and Gus duck away from the open trap door.

Luz: Yeah, it is. But let's think about this, Principal Bump. Why would kids in the detention track "need" a secret hideout?

Bump: I don't care to know the ins and outs of rascality. *Pulls out rule book* But if the Emperor's Coven can send an actual inspector this time—

Luz: Okay, you need coven money. But if you have to hurt your students to get it, what's the point? They saved Hexside. They should be allowed to study what they wish.

Bump: B-but— *Hugs rule book*

Crystal: *bursts in with the twins* Sir, you owe them that much.

Boscha: She's earned it as well, she lost her magic while defending us.

Leon and Crystal were shocked that Boscha defended them while she just smirks.

Bump: Alright, I'm smart enough to know when I've made a mistake. Which tracks would you like to be in?

Viney: Healing and Beast Keeping!

Jerbo: Plants and Abomination!

Barcus: *barks*

Bump: *to Leon and Crystal* And you two?

Crystal: Healing, plants, illusions, beast keeping, potions, and bard!

Leon: Potions and bard!

Bump: Then so be it. *Changes their uniforms to reflect their new tracks* But if any of you cause more property damage, I'm feeding you to the choosy hat. *To Luz* And you?

Luz: Oh, I still can't choose. Maybe it's crazy but I wish I could study a little bit of everything. Whoa.

Luz gets a full magical-girl transformation sequence as her uniform takes several colors to reflect the different tracks.

Luz: What's going on? What is this? Whoa-ho! This is so cool. Yeah, yeah, I'm gonna study everything!

Leon: Nice work, Luz.

Crystal: We'll see you later.

Luz nods while Leon and Crystal leave.

Luz: Quite the day.

Crystal: Yeah, we can finally learn our desired tracks.

Leon and Crystal high five when they suddenly hear slow clapping. They turn to see Boscha approaching.

Boscha: Good work, you two.

Leon: Oh right, we haven't finished our deal.

Crystal: Back to the field?

Boscha: No, I think we can all agree we've demonstrated incredible power. And I'll admit. *smiles* You two weren't half bad.

Crystal: Oh, thanks. 

Leon: Thank you, you were pretty cool as well. Actually, I've always admired your commitment to Grudgby.

Boscha: . . . *smiles* Thank you. Guess I can't call you "Not-a-Witch" anymore. And, I guess you're not so bad. Neither you, Crystal.

Leon: So, we're good?

Boscha: . . . We'll see.

Boscha gives a two finger salute before walking off. Leon and Crystal nod and walk off as well. Leon logs in his journal as we fade to black.
