CHAPTER THIRTY: COME WITH US

Five blinked you and him to Elliott's apartment.

When you entered the living room you saw Diego was laying on the couch almost unconscious while Lila was sitting by him, cauterizing a stab wound on his side.

"What happen?" you asked "He was stab" Lila answered "By who?" you asked "Probably by this man you are chasing" she said.

Diego was gasping and screaming as Lila was burning the wound.

"Shh! Don't move. This thing is very finicky" Lila said "What happened?" Diego asked "I saved your stupid life" Lila answered "Were you following me?" Diego asked "Uh, hey, how about a little gratitude knife boy. If it wasn't for me, you'd be dead. That's twice now, by the way" Lila said.

Diego's eyes widened as he lifted his head before he looked down at himself to noticed that his clothes was missing and he only had a bed sheet to cover himself.

"Where are my clothes? The hell happened to my clothes?" he asked "I said, don't move" Lila said but Diego began to move and Lila dug the tool into his wound making a sizzling sound causing Diego to scream and groaning in pain before he laid back down, moaning from the pain. "There. That's better" Lila said.

Five let out a sigh as he entered the room "Oh. He isn't dead" he said as he was looking at Diego while he had his hands in his pockets.

"Disappointed?" Lila asked as Five walked towards the coffee table in front of the couch "Oh, to see you? Always" he said with a fake smile as he grabbed a white rag before walking back to stand by the doorway, pressing the rag against the wound on the side of his neck.

"So much hostility in such a tiny package. Did you cut yourself shaving? I could teach you to shave like a big boy, or maybe you and the weird freak girl did something dirty" Lila said.

"Stop calling her that, she has a name" Five hissed at Lila and you looked at him.

Why did he became so angry right there? Why is he so protected of you?

'She is a freak'

"She is a witch, a freak, a weirdo'

'Natalie, we're trying to help you'

'NOOOO'

"Em" a voice said causing you to snap back to reality and you blinked a few times with your eyes to see Five looking at you "You okay?" he asked and you nodded "Yeah. I'm fine" you said and Five let out a sigh "I just ran into an old family friend" he said as he took the rag off his neck before looking at it.

You then walked over to grabbed a small bowl, filled it with water before you grabbed a rag.

"Come with me Short Pants" you said "Where to?" he asked "Clean that cut" you said as you walked over to your bedroom "There is a first-aid kit in there so come on" you said "Alright" Five said before he followed you into your bedroom.

"Please be quiet!" Lila called out as Five closed the door after him.

"Please sit down, so I can see the cut better" you said and he nodded before he sat down on a chair that was next to the bed while you sat down on the bed before grabbing the first-aid kit.

You dip the rag in the water before you started cleaning his cut on the neck, you had your head tilted so you could see his neck better.

Readjusting the rag in your hand, you started dabbing the blood around the cuts lightly before putting the rag on the small night table next to the bed.

You then grabbed a bottle of peroxide, before you flipped the cap open while Five just kept staring at you. 

As you felt his eyes on you. You could feel your body became warm and you felt like your heart was beating faster. 

Why did you get that feelings, you just met him?

But maybe he was right, maybe he really was someone from your past. That could explain why the word Five was the only other thing than your name that you remember when you first landed here.

You began dipping the rag around the cuts causing him to flinch a bit. 

"Sorry" you said "It's okay. I have already experienced the worst pain ever" he said "And what was that?" you asked "You dying in my arms and me thinking that I have lost you forever and I was never going to see you again" he said and you looked at him.

There was almost a minute of silence as the two of you just stared at each other.

"Anyway" you said as you put the stuff on the night table.

"So we have two monkeys in the family?" you asked "Luther isn't really a monkey, but something went wrong on a mission and to save his life, Reginald put something in his body, turning his body into something from a monkey" Five said "So he is half monkey?" you asked and he nodded "Yeah, you can say that" he said "You got a weird family" you said "Well you are part of that family too" he said before he chuckled softly "What?" you asked as you noticed him staring at you while he was blushing.

He then lifted his hand before he slid his finger down your cheek causing you to blush a bit.

"Do I have something on my face?" you asked "No, it's nothing, sorry" he said as he shook his head.

'Just wanted to tell you how much I've missed you and how much I love you'

"Well, I better go to bed, it's late" you said and he nodded "It's for the best" he said as he got up.

You put the stuff away before you turned around to see him still in the room, as he was staring at you.

"Why are you staring at me like that? Please leave" you said "Sorry, old habit" he said "What do you mean?" you asked "Sometimes you would stay overnight at the Academy and you could never sleep 'cause you were scared, so I would always lay down next to you so you could sleep and you called me your favorite and comfort pillow" he said "Did I?" you asked and he nodded "Yeah, I would always stay until you fell asleep, sometimes I would watch you sleep, it helped me relax" he said "Creepy" you said and he chuckled.

"Well, goodnight and please don't lay down next to me or stare at me while I'm sleeping" you said "Don't worry I will leave, goodnight Em" he said "Goodnight Short Pants" you said and he smiled before walking out of the bedroom.

"Hey Coffee Boy" you said and he turned to look at you "You are welcome to sleep on the floor if you can't sleep on the couch" you said "Thanks for the offer, but I will be fine, I have slept worse places" he said before turning around, closing the door behind him.

"I really hope you get your memories back Nat 'cause you deserves it and then I hope you want to be with me 'cause there is something I want to give you" Five said before he pulled up a small black box from his inner pocket.

Five couldn't help but think bitterly. You were too pretty, too sweet, too smart, too funny, too good for the Hargreeves family. And lock him up for having the mind of a thirty-five-year old man and instantly thinking of marriage. Not that idea had ever even crossed his mind, not even when he was a kid, untouched by the premonition of an apocalypse. He never saw himself as the type of man to one day find a beautiful girl and then go on to get married, settle down. It was a fairy tale to him, and not one that he particularly liked.

You and Five were sitting next to each other on the Academy's roof top with your legs hanging over the edge while looking up at the stars.

It was one of the night where your mom was off for a bushiness trip and you had to stay overnight at the Academy and because you couldn't sleep, Five decided to take you up on the roof so the two of you could stare at the stars. 

Then suddenly you saw a shooting star "Look! A shooting star!" you said, pointing at it "Yeah" Five said as you two watched it fly across the night sky.

"That was a long one!" Five said as you both saw it disappear "Yeah" you said.

"You know I read, that everytime you saw one it was a soul going to heaven" he said "I like that" you said with a smile.

We're talkin' baaa, ba ba ba

Baaa, ba ba ba
Baaa

"Aren't we suppose to wish on it?" you asked and he looked at her "Why?" he asked "Because my mom told me that if you wish on a shooting star, it will come true" you said "Alright" he said "Don't say it out loud" you said and he nodded before he closed his eyes to wish while you did the same.

I was sleeping
And right in the middle of a good dream
Like all at once I wake up
From something that keeps knocking at my brain

The two of you then opened their eyes "What did you wish for?" he asked "Nope, not gonna tell you" you said "Why not?" he asked "Because then it will not come true" you said "Come on, I will tell you my wish, if you tell me yours" he said and you shook your head "No, I'm not telling" you said "Fine" he said as he looked at you with a smile while you were looking up at the stars.

"Well, I wish for something that I'm so scared that I will never have" he said "You will get it, if you just keep hoping and never stop fighting for it" you said "Well, it's worth fighting for" he said before he looked at you.

Before I go insane I hold my pillow to my head
And spring up in my bed
Screaming out the words I dread
"I think I love you!"

"By the way. I was out in the courtyard the other day and I found this" he said before he pulled out a beautiful red rose "Wow" you said as you looked at the rose with your eyes widened "I think it was beautiful" he said before he put it behind your ear "I think that it will look good on you, cause you are both beautiful" he said and you looked at him before you both smiled.

This morning
I woke up with this feeling
I didn't know just how to deal with
And so I just decided to myself
I'd hide it to myself

"I just realized I want to show you something" you said before you turned around and jumped down from the edge "What is it?" he asked "It's something I have being working on and you have to see it, but then you have to take my hand" you said before you stretched your left hand towards him "Come on" you said "You are not going to ask me to dance because I can't dance and I don't know how" he said "No, I am not" you said "Then what is it?" he asked "Do you trust me?" you asked "Always" he said "Then take my hand" you said and he smiled before he jumped down and took your hand.

And never talk about it
And did not I go and shout it
When you walked into my room
"I think I love you!"

"Whatever happens, you hold on tight" you said "What is going to happen?" he asked a little nervous and you looked at him "Are you scared?" she asked "No I'm not" he said "Yeah right, Short Pants" you said sarcastically "I'm not scared" he said "Fine" you said while looking at him. You like that even so he was scared, he never showed it or admit it.

So what am I so afraid of?
I'm afraid that I'm not sure of
A love there is no cure for

You then looked towards the other edge of the roof and you took a deep breath before running towards the edge making Five to start running too "Nat what are you doing?" he asked as you were pulling him with you.

"Nat, stop, we are going to die" he said out loud as you came closer to the edge "NAT. STOP" he shouted but you kept running.

When you were close enough to the edge, Five closed his eyes just as red whisps appeared around your body before they appeared around Five's body and you then jumped off the edge.

Five opened his eyes to see that he was in the air, he then looked at his body to see red whisps around him.

He then looked to the left to see his hand holding yours as red whisps was also around you.

You turned your head to look at him and he smiled before he looked around as your powers was making the two of you flying.

Though it worries me to say
I've never felt this way

Both Five and you were smiling as you were flying around up in the night sky right above the Academy.

You and Five then looked at each other and grabbed each other's right hand before you made you and Five spun around in a circle as you were looking at each other while you made the both of you fly a little bit farther up before stopping, still holding hands so you were sure you wouldn't drop him if now your powers failed you.

"This is what I wanted to show you. I have being practice a lot. So what do you think?" you asked "It's amazing" he said as he was looking around before looking at you "You are amazing" he said and you looked at him.

I have to tell you somethin' I've been thinkin' for a long time but didn't have the courage to say: I think I love you. You know what? Scratch that! I do love you, but I'm gonna say "I think I love you," because I don't know if this is love, 'cause I've never felt this feeling before, and I think I'm going insane.

You were both stared into each other's eyes as Five put both hands on your cheeks before you both leaned closer, closing your eyes as you rested your foreheads against each other.

I don't know what I'm up against
I don't know what it's all about
I got so much to think about
Hey!

You both pulled away before looking at each other and you then made the two of you float slowly down on the roof again.

You both landed on the roof "See it was not so bad" you said as you let go of his hand "It was beautiful and amazing. Just like you" he said "Stop it" you said "No. I mean it" he said, making you look at him.

Though it worries me to say
I never felt this way

"Thank you, just don't tell Reginald, I want to used this kind of power for something like this" you said "Your secret is safe with me" he said "Thank you Pretty boy" you said "Anytime" he said and you smiled to him before you both leaned closer to each other.

Believe me
You really don't have to worry
I only want to make you happy
And if you say "Hey, go away", I will

As your lips where few inches from each other, you were interrupted by he Academy's alarm that started ringing which mean that it was time for another mission causing the two of you to pull away.

But I think better still
I better stay around and love you
Do you think I have a case?
Let me ask you to your face

"You better go back down before you get in trouble with your dad. But thank you for a loving evening" you said "You're welcome and thank you for this. I'm happy that I have someone as amazing, beautiful, strong, badass, brave, sweet and smart as you in my life" he said "And I'm thankful for having someone like you in my life" you said "And you will always have me" he said "You will always have me too, cause I'm not going to leave you. You will probably get sick of me way before I get sick of you" you said "I doubt that. I will never get sick of you" he said and you smiled.

"NUMBER FIVE, WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?" Five heard his dad shouting from inside. "I better go" he said and you nodded "I will be waiting for you to return" you said and he smiled.

He then lay a kiss on your right cheek causing you to blush.

"See you when I get back" he said as he pulled away and you nodded before he blinked away.

You knew that it's very inconvenient to fall in love when you're so young, but you didn't care, you have found your soulmate, your other half, and your anchor.

You couldn't really sleep since so many thoughts ran through your mind, all the visions and dreams. 

You knew that the memory about you and your family returning home from a family dinner and the theater was not real.

It was like your brain was hiding your real memories or just didn't show them for some reason. But you know that you were not gonna give up until you had gotten your real memories back.

"You are up early" a voice said and you turned your head to see Amy "You're back" you said with a smile "Yeah. I was out looking for a place to stay" she said "Did you find anything?" you asked "Nope. Beside I might wait a bit" she said before she walked over and sat on the couch next to you.

"So did you find what you were looking for?" she asked "No, but Five did tell him that I'm actually a 30-year-old adult woman in her 16-year-old body. And he told me that I'm part of his weird family" you said and Amy nodded "Well, at least you're going home soon and have a family" she said.

"You know you don't have to stay here and take care of me anymore" you said "I don't mind staying here. Beside I'm not moving or leaving. I will be staying right here until you get home" she said.

"I don't know if I feel safe about you being alone, maybe I should stay with you. Us two on the road" you said and she looked at you "It's nice of you, but I will be fine. You deserve to get your memories back, to be happy, to go back home, be with your family, live your life" she said "What about you?" you asked "I will be fine" she said.

"You know maybe you could come with us" you said "What?" she asked "When Five had found the rest of his family, stopped doomsday and found a way back home, you cane come with us" you said "I don't know, maybe the little guy don't think it's a good idea" she said "He just have to deal with it" you said "I don't know" she said "Come on" you said and she looked at you.

"I will think about it, okay" she said and you nodded.

"One day you're gonna meet someone who makes you realise that's there was nothing wrong with you"
