CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE: FOUR MONTHS

"Sometimes you get so broken that you turn into something that isn't you"

You and Five were in courtyard at the Academy by a large oak tree. 

Five grabbed onto the branches, hoisting himself up and sitting on a stable one "No fair, I can't climb up" you whined "It's not that high up. Just a couple steps, you can do it" he encouraged.

You grabbed onto a branch, attempting to pull yourself up, but Five could see you were struggling.

"I--I can't" you sighed "Here, give me your hand, I'll pull you up" he reached out his hand, wrapping the other one around the branch. 

You stared at him unease but grabbed his hand and he pulled you up with all the strength he had.

"There you go. You just climbed a tree" he smiled "You know what would be nice to have one day?" you asked "What?" he asked "A treehouse. Somewhere we could get away from all the chaos. It'd be our little sanctuary" your fingers interlocked with his and the two of you look at each other "I'd love to share a treehouse with you" he said before you both smiled.

You were sitting on the couch with the newspaper, looking for a job while Amy was looking for a place to live.

Since Amy was 18 she had no problem in finding a job and she was now looking for place she could afford, but it was not cheap.

In those four months, you and Amy have being staying a Elliott, you and her had grow really closed and became best friend. You were like sisters.

You had also grow close with Elliott, he was like a father figure to you and Amy.

"Find anything?" Amy asked "No. And it's hard" you put the newspaper aside before getting up "And no one have reported me missing" she said as you ran your fingers through your hair "Maybe I'm not someone you miss" you said "That is bullshit, I have only know you for four months and I know I'm gonna miss you when you leave" Elliott said "Yeah me too. I mean you are my best friend" Amy said.

"Then why has nothing happen" you said "Patience Emily. Your memories will come back and you will find your family" Amy said "Well, some pictures is started showing" you said "Just don't stress yourself, the doctor told you to be patience with it" Elliott said as he went to his bedroom and you nodded before you walked over to looked at the black and the white indistinct pictures.

The first picture showed a guy. He had landed february 11, 1960 and he looked a bit homeless because of his clothes and his slim figure.

The next picture showed a woman while long curly locks of hair and a leather jacket. Her style didn't fit the 60' She landed June 29, 1961.

The next picture showed a huge man and as you looked closer at the picture, the side of your heard hurt a bit causing you to let out a sigh. He landed April 10, 1962.

The next picture showed a guy dress in black, he landed, September 1st, 1963. And the last picture showed a woman in white. She landed October 12, 1963.

"You okay?" Amy asked as she enter living room again "Yeah, I'm fine" you told her before you looked around "Where is Elliott?" you asked "Went to bed" Amy said and you nodded "Shouldn't you also go to bed, you have an early shift tomorrow" you said "It's not that late" Amy said as she sat down on the couch.

"So have your memories came back?" she asked "No" you shook your head "Well, Elliott had put your name in the newspaper" she said "Yeah, but it was four months ago" you said "Maybe you are also confused about your name" she said "No, I'm sure Emily is my name" you said, even so you had a feeling that it wasn't.

"It would be easier if you knew your last name" she said "Yeah" you said before you looked at her "Maybe I should try to find these people in the pictures, since they came out of that blue thing too, they might know me" you said "Are you sure is a good idea, I mean. The big one look stupid, the shinny one look like someone who is drunk and a weirdo, the man in black look like someone who want to rob a bank" she said.

"But maybe they have answered" you said "Listen, I know you want to know what happened to you and find your family, but approaching these people might be dangerous. Maybe they might not have the answers you are looking for" she said as she got up.

"But--" "Listen" Amy said as she took a step closer to you "Emily, even so I have only know you for four months, I care about you. You are my best friend, so I don't want you to get hurt" she said and you nodded "Beside the doctor told you to take things slowly" she said and you looked at her "Listen, if the next person that comes through that blue thing seems normal, I will come with you when you approach them, okay?" she asked and you nodded "Okay, maybe you're right, maybe there will come more, I just hope the next person look normal" you said.

"Did anything happen?" Elliott asked and you two saw him enter the living room "We thought you were asleep" you said "Couldn't sleep" he said.

"Elliott?" you asked and he nodded "Why don't you try to approach them instead of taking pictures?" you asked "Because they might be spies, assassin, agents or anything else that is dangerous" he answered "Well, little Emily here, think is a good idea to approach them" Amy said "No, don't do that, do you want to die. You might get hurt or killed if you approach them, they look dangerous" he said "Well, some of them don't" you said "Well, don't get fooled by looks" Amy said "Yeah like a little school boy might look cute outside, but inside, he might be an assassin or something else dangerous" Elliott said.

"Have you considered what you are gonna do if one of them discovers those antennas and the camera at the roof and decide to come in here?" you asked "I haven't think about that. But I wouldn't worry about that, until now none of them had notice anything" he said "And I told Emily that if another one came through we will approach them together" Amy said "I don't know if that is a good idea" he said "It wouldn't hurt trying" you said.

"NO!" you screamed as you let out a gasp while you sat up in the bed.

The door opened and you saw Amy with a worried look "I heard you screaming, are you okay?" she asked "No, I had a nightmare or an awful dream" you said as you let out a sigh "But it felt so real" you said.

"Tell me about it" Amy said as she grabbed a chair before put it by the bed and sat on it "It might help you" she said "Okay. The first one showed me in a building, some red energy came out of me and I killed the people around me. Another showed me killing more people while a boy was crying out my name" you said while your breath was shaking a bit.

"Maybe I'm a mudrer and a monster" you said "No, no" Amy shook her head "You are not a monster or a mudrer, you are an amazing person" she said "How do you know that?" you asked "'Cause in those months I have know you, you have being such a nice and kind person" she said.

"Sorry for waking you" you said "It's okay, I'm a light sleeper, I have being since I lost my little sister and mother in an car cash" she said and you gasped "I'm so sorry about that" you said "It's okay, you didn't know" she said "How old were you?" you asked "15 and my dad and I have never really being close since then. We had never being closed. He wanted boys, but my mom couldn't have anymore children" she said.

"I'm so sorry, I can't imagine the pain you are going through right now" you said "It's okay, it's over three years ago. We gotta move on" she said before she looked down.

"You know that you remind a lot of my little sister" she said "I do?" you asked and she nodded "Yeah you do, her name was actually also Emily. I don't know how I can explain it, but you do" she said before she looked back at you "I know that we have only know each other for a few months, but I feel like I have know you for longer, and I actually see you both as a little sister and a best friend, is that weird?" she asked "No" you shook your head.

"Well, I'm sorry for being protective towards you. It's just I can't lose more people I care about" she said "I understand" you said "And I want you to know that no matter what you decide, I'll support you" she said "Thanks Amy, for being such a great friend. I don't know where I would have being, if you haven't hit me with your car" you said and she smiled "I'm actually glad I hit you" she said and you chuckled.

"So since you have being here for four months, what do you remember?" Elliott asked "I remember a theater, seven kids, a woman, that's all. My mind is still fuzzy" you said "Yeah the doctor said that it would take time" Elliott said "So you don't remember how you got here?" Amy asked and you shook your head.

"I remember talking to some boy around my age" you said "What boy?" Amy asked "I don't know, I can't see his face, I don't even know what we were talking about. But then the memory changed to me and my family getting home from some family dinner, I went to bed and then woke up in the alleyway" you said.

"Do you know the name of the boy or the name of your parents?" Elliott asked "No. Sorry" you said as you shook your head.

"You really have to think Emily, the more you remember the more we can help you" Amy said "I'm trying. I don't know if what I'm saying is true. I don't remember anything. My mind might playing tricks with me. So those memories might be fake" you said "Well, the doctor said you did suffer from amnesia" Elliott said "I think I remember something about an Academy and a bording school, but that's it" you said as your breath was shaking a bit.

"It's okay Emily, you are not alone, you got me and Elliott, and we're gonna help you, okay. We'll figure this one out" Amy said and you nodded.

"Try to think" Elliott said "I think I remember someone name Reginald, who was some grumpy old man, that's it" you said "Do you think he is your dad?" Amy asked "I have no idea" you said "Well, I'm not writing that down, until you're sure" Elliott said and you nodded.

"I need to go to the bathroom, I will be right back" you said before getting up, going to the bathroom.

You put your hands on the sink before you look yourself.

'You're a danger to this world. Your powers are too strong and powerful and they might even change reality'

Your eyes then suddenly started glowing bright red which caused you to let out a gasp as you jump a bit back.

You looked down at your hands to see them surrounded by two red mist-like shapes energy whisps "What?" you asked in confusing.

You closed your palm causing them to disappear and you then looked yourself in the mirror to see your eyes changing back to your normal eye color.

"What the hell was that?" you asked as you looked around "What is wrong with me?"

"You know what I think is funny" Elliott asked as he handed Amy a cop of black coffee "What?" you asked "You look 16, but you act like an adult" Elliott said "Yeah, I have notice that too" Amy said "Maybe I'm just like that" you said before you started making a peanut butter and marshmallow sandwich.

"I don't get why you like that stuff" Amy said as she made a face in disgust "I don't even know why I like them" you said before you closed the sandwich and took a bite as you turned around.

"Do you guys think that there would come more people coming through that blue light thing?" you asked "There hasn't being anything for a while" Elliott said as he took a sip of his coffee.

"What date is it today?" you asked "November 15" Elliott answered and you looked at Amy "Maybe you were right. I think we should stop" you said before you took the last bite of your sandwich "Maybe it's time to made new memories instead of waiting on someone that might never come" you said "So you're giving up?" Amy asked "Yeah, I think" you said as you put your plate in the sink.

"Well, Emily, you make an amazing coffee" Elliott said "Maybe you can get a job in a coffee house" Amy said "Yeah I might" you said before you took a deep breath.

"You know, I think I will go out and look for a job" you said "I can come with you" Amy said, putting her mug on the table "No, it's fine. I will be fine. Beside, you need rest, you have a late shift later, remember" you said "Okay" Amy said.

"Be careful. There is a lot of crazy people out there" Elliott said "I will be fine. I know how to handle myself" you said "Yeah, you actually fight really good" Amy said and you smiled as you walked towards the door.

"Emily!" Amy called out and you turned around "Here" she pulled up her key "Use my car, 'cause for some fun reason, you actually driver better than me" she said as she threw the key to you and you grabbed them before walking out the door.

"I really hope she will find her family" Elliott said "Yeah, me too" Amy said.

'25 NOVEMBER 1963'

The wind was whipping and blowing as Five felled through the blue vortex, landing on the ground in an alley.

He put his hands under himself before his face could hit the ground.

He got up before taking a small step backwards.

He realized that he was alone.

What the hell just happpen.

Five didn't remember letting go of your hand, he would never do that.

Hearing the whipping noise from above him, he looked up to see the blue vortex above him.

"NAT! LUTHER! DIEGO!" he shouted, hoping to get a respons or that you would fall through the vortex so he could save you, but instead the vortex closed with a zap.

"NAT. NOOOO!" Five cried out, knowing that if you didn't get help, you would stay dead.

Five really hoped that you have landed with one of his siblings or you have at least got help.

Then he heard distant overlapping gunshots from behind him, causing him to turn around, looking at the opening in the alley.

He furrowed his brows as he walked forwards to the end of the alley way that he had landing in.

He looked around at the scene in front of him as he could hear nearby machine-gun fire and bullets ricocheting while people was shouting indistinctly Russian.

Buildings was on fire and destroyed. There were abandoned cars spread out with their widows bashed in, and there were bullet holes on buildings and walls while soldiers was running across the street, shooting, it was a war zone.

A loud whooshing sound came from the sky causing Five to look up and he saw two jet fighters flying across the sky and a few seconds later there was a big explosion in the distance.

Five then spotted a newspaper that was laying between rocks and bricks and he ran over to it, bending down and grabbed the side of the newspaper to read it.

"'Soviets attack US'"?" he read as the sound of a machine-gun fire and men shouting in Russian was heard.

Five got up before he stumbled forward "No, this can't be right" he said as he looked around the war zone "Gonna get you out. Keep your head down" a English soldier said to a injured man.

"Medic! Medic!" another English soldier shouted as the sound of overlapping shouts was heard.

"Hey, kid, get down!" a soldier shouted at Five as he was standing next to a tank that had slowed down before stopping.

"What the hell did we do now?" Five said as he was looking around the war zone.

Then a loud sound came from the tank behind him, shooting out a missile causing Five to jump off to the side

The missile flew through the air, forward, but it was stopped as Vanya whose skin was pale and eyes was ice blue, floated up in midair with her arms out towards it and with her powers, she stopped the missile and it exploded causing the metal to bend backwards before it turn into a cloud of smoke.

A group of soldiers charge towards Klaus, but he lifted up his hands and the ghosts from the dead soldiers appeared behind him before he push his hands forward making the ghosts to charge towards the soldiers who all started screaming in fear.

There was a shout form the air and Luther landed on the ground next to Klaus before he put his arms out at his sides as one of the soldiers shot a missile towards Luther, hitting him in the back, making a explosion behind Luther.

He let out a scream as the explosion died out, nothing happen to Luther.

A man let out a scream as a blue tentacle wrapped around him before lifting him up into the air and threw him backwards.

Ben was standing up on top of a building, grabbing three men, one by one before throwing them around.

"Hey" Allison said causing three soldiers to turn around and look at her. She stopped before putting her arms up slightly "I heard a rumor that I blew your minds" she said, her voice echoing as the sound waves traveled to the soldiers' ears and the three mens' head blew up before falling to the ground.

The sound of overlapping shouts was heard as some soldiers ran towards Diego who was standing on top of a overturn police car.

The soldiers lifted their guns and Diego jumped off the car, flipping around in the air as the soldiers started shooting at him.

While flipping around in the air, he control the bullets in the air making them turn around and hit the soldiers instead, causing them to fell dead on the ground.

Five looked around, trying to spot you, but he couldn't see her anywhere.

"No" he whispered while tears fell from his eyes, knowing that since you were not there, you were dead. 

"Five! You sick son of a bitch where the hell have you been?" Diego suddenly shouted at Five.

Five was about to move forward, but then a sound of energy zaps appeared and a hand grabbed Five's shoulder causing him to stop and he saw Hazel with a briefcase in his hand "If you wanna live, come with me" Hazel said "Hazel. What the hell's going on here?" Five asked "There's no time to explain" Hazel said before he pointed up ahead towards the nukes that was coming from the sky "Those are nukes, old-timer" he said as the sound of missiles droning was heard and Five looked back at Hazel.

"What about my family?" Five asked worried "You can't save them if you're dead" Hazel said and Five grabbed onto his hand before they teleported away.

The siblings all looked up at the sky as the sound of explosions booming was heard.

When the nukes hit the ground, a huge exploding went off in the distance, they were pushed away forcefully as the nuke destroyed everything include the siblings.

"Life is like a piano, the white keys represent happiness, the black keys show sadness, but as you go through life's journey, remember that the black keys makes music too"
