CHAPTER FIFTEEN: TRUTH REVEALED

"What are you doing in here Miss?" a voice asked and you looked up to see Pogo.

"What is this?" you asked "It's the file about you" Pogo replied "I know that. But why does Reginald have it. I have never being in this house. I have never met this man" you said as you looked down "Yes you have Miss Natalie" Pogo said and you looked back at Pogo.

"When you were five years old, your mother brought you here 'cause she realized that your powers were too strong. So she asked Mr. Hargreeves to train you into controlling your powers. And everyday from five to 13, your mom dropped you off at the Academy while she was working. You became really closed to them" he said "Why does it say to keep me away from Five?" you asked "'Cause you and Five were inseparable when you were young. And Reginald believe that Five was keeping you from using all of your powers" Pogo said "Why can't I remember?" you asked "'Cause Reginald force Allison to rumor you and the siblings to forget that you ever knew them" he said and your eyes widened.

"Why?" you asked "'Cause your mom found out that Reginald went behind her back and experimented on you and since you were inseparable with the kids, Reginald force Miss Allison into rumor you" he said "So that's why most of my memories from five to 13 is holes and dark" you said and he nodded. 

"Has Reginald anything to do with me ending in a coma?" you asked and Pogo let out a sigh. 

"Why?" you asked "Mr. Hargreeves wanted to remove your powers, or reduce the energy but the expeminet was a failure...it grew stronger instead" he explain "He experimented on me without my mom consent?" you asked "Your mom signed the papers that gave him consent. After that accident at the mission, the only way to save you was to put something in you that made your power stronger. Your mom found out about it and forbid Reginald and the Umbrella kids to ever get near you again. But you wouldn't keep away from them. So Reginald force Allison to rumor you and the kids into they have forgotten that they ever knew you" he said and the anger in you raised.

"Then when the accident at the college building happen. Reginald found your mom again and he told her the only way to save you was to remove your powers and your mom signed the paper. But Reginald ticked your mother, he was never going to remove your powers, he was gonna experiment on them" he said "So what? The failed experiment caused my body to turn back to 16 again and it only made my powers stronger? What the hell did I wake up six years later?" you asked out a little loud causing the room to start shaking "He had to do it to save you and so your powers could reload in some way. So he put you in your 16-year-old body and then put you in a coma" Pogo said.

"So I was trained by a complete maniac. Tormented me and the siblings' life. Experimented on. When he did he plan on getting me out of the coma?" you asked "He say that when your powers was reload you would wake up but if they weren't, then you shall be waking up when he died" he said and the anger in you raised as your eyes glow dark red.

"Did my mom knew about all of this. About me being rumored into forgetting about Five and the others?" you asked and Pogo let out a sigh. He didn't answer but you could see on his face, your mom knew.

"My whole life was wasted because of that fucking asshole!" you shouted out loud causing the glass in the room to shattered as you clenched your fists.

"Miss Natalie, it was for your own good. Your mom did it to protect you" he said but you didn't say anything as you rushed out of the room and out of the Academy, going to your mom's house.

Meanwhile Five was having lunch with The Handler in her office "And that's how Phil determined that the archduke just had to go" The Handler said as they put down their glass "Care for dessert?" she asked "I had a bad Twinkie in the apocalypse once. It kind of put me off desserts" Five said "Please, indulge me" The Handler said as she push a bowl of candy towards Five and he let out a sigh before he pick one up, opened it, and put it in his mouth.

"What's that taste like to you?" she asked "The 1950s?" he asked "Precisely right. Our clever metaphysics division concocted a way to perfectly distill an entire decade into a single candy. This one's modeled after the Fudge Mutt, America's favorite in 1955" she said "Remarkable" he said "You'll be happy to know it's the very division that's building your new body. Oh, that reminds me. I have something for you" she said before she put her fingers on a intercom "Carla?" she asked "Yes?" Carla said "Would you bring the box in, please" The Handler asked "Certainly" Carla said.

The Handler got up from her chair as Carla walked into the office holding a box and put it on the desk before she left.

"Go ahead. Open it" The Handler said and Five opened the box before he looked inside it "Clothes make the man, Five. Won't be nice when you can actually wear it? Very soon, I assure you. They're perfecting your body as we speak" The Handler said "Thank you. It's a very kind gift" Five said and closed the box.

He then turned around and pointed on a flamethrower "Is that a Chinese flamethrower?" he asked "Good eye" she said and he walked closer to it "War. Such a fascinating concept. A temporary salve for a permanent human flaw. Course, it's a bit easier to see from 30,000 feet" she said and chuckled as she walked up to him.

"These are just some of the things I've collected in my travels" she said, moving her hand to all her collected before she picked up a grenade "M26 grenades from the Vietnam War" she said before putting it down.

"And this, the most noteworthy, perhaps" she said before she picked up a pistol "My Walther pistol. The very one Hitler used to kill himself. We're not supposed to take these kind of things, but...he wasn't gonna use it anymore" she said before she pointed with the pistol "Feel...how perfectly balanced that is" she said before she handed the pistol to Five.

"I had some thoughts I wanted to run by you. Some suggestions to improve Commission protocol" he said "Mm! Shaking things up already" she said as she took the pistol from him and put it down "I admire that" she said, stroking her hand down his cheek before she poke his nose.

"Go on. Do tell" she said as she walked back to her desk "Gloria" he said as he walked over to her desk "The tube operator. Wouldn't be simpler if case managers were to send their own messages?" he asked as The Handler sat down on her chair "I appreciate the thought. I really do. But everyone loves Gloria. I---I would never hear the end of it. She's been with the Commission family for years and she's this close to making pension" she said.

Then it knock on the door and Dot entered "Sorry to interrupt. May I have a moment alone?" she asked "Of course. Duty calls. We'll continue this discussion later, Five" The Handler said "Sure. May I?" Five asked as he pointed at the bowl with candy "Please" she said with a smile and Five took one before putting it in his pocket and left.

Dot gave The Handler a file and she opened it before her eyes widened a bit "Is this real?" she asked and Dot nodded "Yes" she said "Sent an agent out to stop it" The Handler said "How are the agent gonna stop it" Dot said "Well, because of this, the apocalypse will happen sooner, therefore sent out an agent to kill her" The Handler said "Maybe it wouldn't happen" Dot said "It will. Sent out an agent to stop it, now" The Handler said and Dot nodded.

You arrive at the street where your mom lived, you cross the street but then a car came driving and it stopped in front of you before honking.

You looked at the car before an red energy waved was shout out of you, hitting the car, sending it flying backwards before landing upside down.

The wave also hit the area in front of you, sending parked car flying around while knocking trees down.

You then turned around before going towards your house, the anger in you were still boiling.

The man in the car crawled out before he pulled up his phone.

"Send special forces, the police, the military, the FBI, everyone. There is a witch here" the man shouted into the phone.

You walked into your house to see your mom sitting by the table.

"Hey sweetheart" she said "Is it true?" you asked and she turned to look at you.

Her eyes widened when she saw your expression and your fists clenched a bit.

"Honey" Ella said as she got up "Is it true?" you asked again "What is?" Ella asked "Don't play dumb, it gets people no where, now tell me, is it true that you made me forget that I have ever know Five and his siblings?" you asked "How do you know that?" Ella asked as her eyes widened "'Cause I met Five a few days ago and every since I have had those weird feelings in my body, and then I decided to dig a little bit and I found a file about me in Reginald's office and Pogo told me the truth" you said as the anger in you were boiling.

"That's why you sent me away and that's why you wanted me to stay away from The Umbrella Academy" you said, aggressive.

"Sweetheart let me explain" Ella said "NO!" you shouted as you clenched your fists more causing the house to start shaking.

"You kept me away from the first and now only the people who has loved me for me" you said out loud "You don't understand, Reginald, he is an evil and dangerous man. I have to keep you away from him. When I find out what he was doing to you, what he was planning in doing to you, I had to sent you away while also making a deal with him, so he would never lay a hand on you again" she said "So you think it was best to make me forget that I have ever know them. That is cold hearted" you shouted and two red mist-like shapes appeared on your hands while your eyes was glowing dark red and all the things around you started floating. 

"You made me forget them!" you said out loud "I did it to keep you safe, I knew that you and the kids were close, and you and Five were inseparable. So I had to take the easy way out" Ella said "You let me stay with a monster!" you shouted "I didn't knew he would do that to you 'cause he promised me he wouldn't" Ella said "You made me live in a lie!" you shouted "Honey" Ella said.

"AND YOU FUCKING WANTED TO REMOVE MY POWERS!" you shouted "After the accident at the college, you were very closed in dying and I knew that if the truth came out, you would never get a normal life. I didn't want you to live your life like a walking time bomb. Like a grenade. Reginald told me it was for the best" you said "AND YOU SIGNED THOSE PAPERS!" you shouted and more things started breaking.

"Both Reginald and I didn't knew that it would only make your powers strong" Ella said "YOU KEPT ME FUCKING AWAY FROM THEM!" you shouted "I had no choice" Ella said "THERE IS ALWAYS A FUCKING CHOICE!" you shouted as you clenched your fists even more "But you were only thinking about yourself!" you shouted and the lights started swinging back and forth more and more and the sound of glass smashing was heard.

The rocking chairs started rocking again. The curtains and the wind started picking up more and more. The wind chimes got louder and a dream catcher in the window started spinning around. A metal lamp on the table started making a rattling sound as it moved around.

"Are you okay?" Ella asked as she saw your eyes changed dark red while two dark red energy mist-like shapes appeared on your hands.

"I thought you loved me!" you shouted "I do love you. You are the only person I have left" Ella said "If you loved me, you would never had made me forget them" you said "I did it to keep you safe" she said "STOP SAYING THAT!" you shouted and the lamps that was hanging on the ceiling swung back and forth more.

"Please listen to me Natty. You have to calm down" Ella said as she could feel that you were losing control.

But you couldn't calm down. You have just found out the truth and that the person you trusted the most, had being lying to you and held such a big secret from you.

"Hon--" "SHUT UP!" you shouted as a wave of red energy was shout out of you, sending your mom flying backwards, causing her back to hit the wall before she fell to the floor unconscious.

Dark red energy whips was around your hands and your eyes was glowing dark red.

"THIS IS THE POLICE, COME OUT WITH YOUR HANDS UP!" someone shouted from outside and you turned your head before you walked towards the door opened it with your power.

You saw how police cars, FBI vans were parked and the police, FIB, special forces and the military were all pointing their guns at you while a helicopter was also flying above you.

"HANDS WHERE WE CAN SEE THEM!" one of the men shouted but you just tilted while your eyes glow more dark red as you moved your fingers.

You then lifted up your hands before shooting red energy balls towards the army, hitting some of them, sending them flying backwards.

"FIRE!" a man shouted and the army all started firing, but with your mind you stop them in mid-air.

While still looking at the army, you turned your left hand making the bullets turned as well, and you then shoved your left hand forwards making the bullets flew towards the army, hitting some of them while the others took cover. 

You then lifted up one of the cars before throwing it at a group, hitting them all.

"We need reinforcements!" a man shouted into his radio as you lifted up one of the men before throwing him away.

The army started shouting again but you stop the bullets with your powers before sending them off in different directions, hitting people and objects.

The whole scene turned into a fight against you and the special forces.

You weren't normal like that, but after everything you had find out and then the person you have tursted the most, has being lying to you and kept so much from you and without Five there, you couldn't keep it in. You lost control, letting go of the witch in you, letting it take control of your body.

Two other helicopters arrived with more military but with your powers you control the helicopter to fly into the other causing them both to crash down on ground, hitting some of the special forces before exploded.

One of the men shot a missile against you, but you stopped with your powers before you sent back causing some of the men to jump to the side as the missile hit a vehicle, making a explosion to go off, killing six people.

"SWEATHEART!" your mom called out "HOLD YOUR FIRE, CIVIL ON THE SCENE!" one of the men shouted and they all hold their fire.

You turned around to see your mom, a stain of blood on the side of her forehead was showing.

"Honey. This isn't you. Don't be that monster or weapon that Reginald want you to be" Ella said and your eyes widened before you powered down, letting go of the people you were holding in mid-air causing them to fall on the ground with a grunt.

"Listen Natty, I know you honey. And this isn't you. You're not a witch or a monster, or a bomb. You are an amazing, smart, beautiful, kind, brave and wonderful girl. And you are right. I shouldn't have done those things to you, but I wasn't thinking. I didn't knew that it would cause so much damaged. Please just calm down" Ella said as she took a step closer to you.

"Think about Five. He saw something special in you. He love you for who you are. Show him that you are the person he sees you as" she said and your eyes changed back to normal before you lowered your hands as the red energy around your hands disappeared.

"That's it" she said with a smile as she walked closer to you "Mom" you said and Ella nodded "Yeah" she said "What have I done?" you asked with a sob "It's not your fault, it's Reginald, and if he wasn't dead, I would have killed him" Ella said "I'm so---" but then there was a sound of a gun being firing.

It felt like a slow moment as memories flashed back in your mind, you with your mom. You meeting Five and his siblings. Your time with them. You meeting Toby and Sabrina. Your first kiss. Your moments with the twins, with your mom and of course with Five. As you remember those memories, you felt your body slowly falling to the ground.

You thought it was a few minutes before you hit the ground but it only took a seconds and everything went black.

You didn't hear the loud scream of agony from your mom.

Ella cried out in sadness as tears fell from her eyes "NOOO!" she cried out in pain.

She collapsed to your side, trying to wake you up, her please, her sobs, her crying, her screams.

You were shot right in the side of the head and the bullet went right through, so you were already dead, no pain, it was a quick death.

Ella hugged your limp body and sobbed harder. She had lost so much, you were her only light. The only person she had left in the world and she have now lost you.

Your mom leaned back and looked at you, hoping to see you open your eyes, miraculously brought back to life, or maybe even your powers would help you to revive back again. But she knew your powers won't be able to bring you back. It was too late. You were gone and Ella felt like it was her fault. If she just have told you the truth and not kept it from you, or if she would never had agree to made you forget your memories with Five and his siblings.

Ella could feel the connection you and Five had and she took that away from you.

"NOOO. NATTY. HONEY, NOOO!" Ella cried out in pain.

Five ignored the distant gunshot he heard in his mind as he walked out of The Handler's office.

He think that it was weird that he suddenly felt a piece of him was torn from him, and he got a headache, really bad one. Like someone had shot him right in the head or have taken a hammer and used it against his head.

He chose to ignore it as he walked around a corner before he leaned his back against it, crossing his arm over his chest.

"I have heard that one of his family members died"  a voice said and Five turned his head to see three people walking down the hallway.

"Who's dead. Fuck, I gotta do this fast. And I have to know who died" Five asked inside his head.

"Well, the witch fought against the military" the second person said 

"Yeah, it was a long fight against the witch. But she was killed when she lost focus" the second voice said "The witch, do you guys talking about Natalie Eversun" the third voice said.

Five's eyes widened as he felt pain funning through his body. He could feel his heart breaking once again. It felt worse than getting knife stabbed through the heart.

Why does he feel like he wanted to break down, crying. He have only know you for a few days, but he felt like he had know you for a long time and he realized that he had falling in love with you. But now you were dead.

Just when he have found someone, he have lost you.

Five was about to slid down on the floor but then he opened up his eyes. He could still fix this, he could still take a briefcase and travel back in time, turn back time, so you were alive again. But first he needed to do this.

He then peek around the corner to see Dot leaving The Handler's office before walking into the Tube Room.

"Gloria, The Handler know that Five is up to something. Get this to Hazel and Cha-Cha immediately" Dot said, giving Gloria a capsule as Five blinked into the Tube Room to hear the conversation better.

"Um..." Gloria said "Immediately" Dot said again "Okay. Yeah" Gloria said and Dot left the room.

"Who are they?" Gloria said as she put on her glasses.

Five blinked behind Gloria and knocked her out. He then grabbed the capsule and opened it, reading the paper.

Five's eyes widened, he now knew who was responsible for the apocalypse.

He quickly folded the paper before stuffing it in his pocket and he began writing on the typewriter for a new reassignment for Hazel and Cha-Cha.

Five ripped the paper out when he was done before he began typing another one.

Five grabbed two capsules and hurried put each paper in one before sending them off.

"You know that's not how we do thing here" a voice said and Five looked to the left to see The Handler.

Five leaned his right arm against the tubes, acting like nothing happen. "Where's Gloria?" she asked.

"Don't know. Couldn't find her anywhere" Five said as he leaned up against one of the slots.

Then Gloria groaned and The Handler look behind her to see Gloria laying behind the desk.

The Handler then looked back at Five who has stepped away from the tubes to stand in the middle, ready for anything "You're a great disappointment to me. You can't change what's to come, Five. I truly find it so odd that you can't shed this fantasy. You're a first-rate pragmatist. You belong here with us" she said and Five shook his head while looking angry at her.

"I don't belong anywhere, thanks to you. You made me a killer" he said "You were always a killer. I just pointed you in a direction" The Handler said before she unzipped her lower part of her dress, revealing a gun and she lifted it up before aiming it at Five.

But he reach to blink away with a whooshes before she could shoot.

The Handler kept shooting everywhere, hoping to hit Five at some point causing the people outside the room to gasp and scream.

The gunshot woke up Gloria with a whimper while people outside the room started picking.

Dot came running and she let out a gasp when she saw The Handler shooting, so Dot pressed the red button for emergency before she jumped in fear while the other employees started screaming when they heard the shooting.

The Handler walked farther into the room and Five push a cart towards her, but she stopped it with her foot before she fired at him but he reach to blink again.

"What's the rush, Five? We're just getting started. Is this how you want the last line on your report to read?" The Handler asked.

Then Five appeared in front of her "When I'm done, I'm done, I guess" he said "You can't keep this up, Five. We both know that even you have a limit. I saved you from a lifetime of being alone. You owe me" she said and pulled the trigger but the gun made a clicking noise meaning that it didn't have anymore bullets and Five let out a small smile.

"I do owe a debt" he said before he blink again and appeared behind The Handler "But it's not for you" he said and pulled up a grenade.

He smiled at her while waving with the grenade in his hand.

He then pulled out the pin of the grenade before he throw it at her feet "Shit" she said.

Five then ran out of the room before it exploded causing glass to shattering and people screaming.

He blinked to the Briefcase Room and he grabbed a briefcase before he pulled out another grenade and pulled out the pin before he threw it aside to the other briefcase.

"Hey, what are you doing---?" a guy asked as Five ran out of the room before it exploded causing glass to shattering.

Five lifted the briefcase before he put in front of him, shielding him from the glass and the explosion with the briefcase "I'm coming Natalie. I'm coming back to you" he said before he traveled back in time.

Five didn't know how, but it was like his mind and legs knew where to go and he found your mom's house only to see a woman sitting in front of a house, holding someone in her arms while the police and ambulance were all around the area. 

Five put the briefcase behind a bush before he rushed over to the area were a yellow police line was around the house.

"Easy kid" a young police man said as he stopped Five before he could go over the line "What happen?" Five asked "A witch went crazy, but nothing to worry about, she is dead now" the man said and Five's eyes widened at the sight.

The three people at the Commission wasn't lying and he didn't heard wrong, it was you who was laying dead in your mom's arms as she kept crying.

As soon as the police man turned around, Five dodged under the yellow line before he rushed over to you.

"No, no" he said as he crouched down next to you. He saw that the left side of your head had a hole where a bullet had went right through.

"No, no" he cried which caused Ella to snap back before looking at him "You" she said angry and he looked at her "This is your fault, if she haven't met you, none of this would have happen" Ella said furious "What happen?" he asked as tears were falling down from his eyes "She lost control and attack the police and while I managed to calm her down, someone shot her" Ella sob before she looked down at you "My poor baby" she cried.

Five grabbed your hand "I'm so sorry Natalie, it's my fault" he said "You damn right it is" Ella said before she looked at Five "This is your fault it all" she said "Listen" he said "No" Ella said as she pushed him away.

Five wanted to grab your hand again but Ella slap it away "Don't you fucking touch my daughter" she said and he looked at her "This is your fucking fault, you killed my daughter!" she shouted "No, please listen to me. I can bring her back" he said "No, I'm done in listening to the Hargreeves, 'cause all they do is lie. Your Hargreeves kids are all like Reginald. I should never have brought her to that Academy in the first place" Ella said "What are you talking about?" Five asked.

"You killed her!" Ella shouted "No" Five said as he shook his head while tears fell from his eyes "I didn't know, I tried, I really tried" he said, his voice breaking a bit "Yeah, right. I don't believe you. It's your fucking fault, all The Hargreeves are lies and everything they touch will be destroy!" she said as tears were running down from her eyes.

"If she haven't met any of you, her life would have being normal. It's your fucking fault and you are all gonna pay now!" Ella shouted before she looked at the police.

"OFFICERS!" she called out and they looked at her "This boy, is a thief" she said as she pointed on Five who looked at her "He has being the one that have being trespassing, he have abused and stalk my daughter, he is the reason she is dead. Arrest him" Ella called out and two officers started walking towards Five.

Five grabbed your hand before looking down at you "Don't worry Natalie, I will fix this. I can do it. I know I can. I'm gonna fix this, I promise" he said before he leaned down and press his forehead against yours "I'm so so sorry" he sob as tears fell from his eyes, making some of them to fall down on your face.

It hurt so much, it felt like getting stab with thousand of knives. 

Why did it hurt so much? 

He had just met you, but he felt like he have know you forever.

He didn't feel the light or the happiness in him anymore.

The two officers then grabbed Five by the shoulders "You are coming with us, young man" one of them said as they pulled Five from you, getting him up on his feet. 

It was like Five's body didn't even wanted to resist, his heart was empty without you, it was like knowing that you were dead have lost all of his will to fight.

"We are taking you to the station for a talk" the second officer said and Five turned his head to look at your dead body, it felt like a part of him, the good part was empty without you. 

"Don't be scared young man, we still need proof before we can arrest you" the first officer said and Five looked back as he was walking between the two officers.

As he closed his eyes, another tear fell from his eyes. 

But then something hit him. He could still fix this.

He knew he had to make this right, he had to fix this. He had to fix it and save you. And he would do it, no matter the cost.

He still had the briefcase, which mean that he could still fix this, save you, turn back time.

One of the officers put his hand on Five's shoulder and Five opened his eyes before he took the chance and he used his fighting assassins skills on the two officers causing them both to let out a grunt as they both fell on the ground. 

Five then turned around before he started running "STOP THAT BOY!" the officers shouted "STOP BOY OR WE WILL SHOOT!" one of the officers shouted but Five kept running while he clenched his fists, getting ready to blink.

A gunshot was heard and Five felt a pain in his side just before he blinked away.

He appeared behind the bush where he had hide the briefcase, he saw that it was broken a bit after the explosion so it could only do one more trip and was all Five needed to save you.

He sat the time and place on the briefcase "I'm gonna save you Natalie" he said as he let out a grunt before he opened it and he then travel back in time.

But he didn't know that when he traveled back, everything that have happen while he was gone, didn't happen. Everything was rewind and the things that have happen that day, didn't happen, like, Klaus seeing Dave as a ghost, the guy he felled in love on his time travel journey but unfortunately died in the Vietnam war in Klaus' arms. Vanya finding Reginald's journal about the siblings' powers under Leonard's bed. Grace telling Diego the truth about Reginald's death. Allison's and Luther's romantic moment.

You and Five were seven years old and you were sitting in Five's bedroom.

"I just don't understand" you asked Five.

"Why does your dad calls you number instead of names?" you asked "I actually don't know" Five said "Why don't you have a name?" you asked "Everyone has names, except me. My siblings and I have forgotten that name that I was giving. Now I'm just called a number" he said and you looked at him "But it's fine" he said.

"How about you call me by an number, like Zero or Eight?" you asked and he looked at you "Why?" he asked "So you don't feel left out. We can call each other by our numbers" you said "But Natalie is your real name" Five said "I just don't want you to feel left out" you said "When I'm with you, I never feel left out" he said and you smiled "Beside I don't want you to call you that" he said "Why?" you asked "'Cause Natalie is your name and it's a beautiful name" he said "Then what shall I call you?" you asked "I like Five" he said "I think I can come up with some nicknames. Let me think" you said as you thought for a moment.

"I have it. Coffee boy. Fivey. Short Pants. Jumpy guy. Pretty boy" you said and he chuckled "No, not any of them" he said "Well deal with it, 'cause that's the nicknames I will call you from now on" you said and he rolled his eyes.

He wouldn't admit it but he liked those names.

"Okay, but then I wanted to have a nickname for you as well" he said "What kind of nickname do you have in mind?" you asked "Nat" he said "I like that name" you said before you looked at him "You will be the only one that calls me that" you said and he smiled "Deal" he said.

"By the way, I also feel left out sometimes. So let's feel left out together" you said and he smiled "What would I do without?" he asked "You will always have me" you said.

"You can't control everything, sometimes you just need to relax and have faith that things will work out"
