CHAPTER ELEVEN: TIME CHANGED EVERYTHING

Ella was furious as she knocked on the Academy's doors.

Reginald opened the door to see Ella "Hello Miss Eversun" he said "Don't 'hello' me, I know what you did, you monster" Ella said aggressive "What are you taking about?" he asked "We had a deal!" she said out loud "I would allow to you train my daughter and teach her into controlling her powers" she said as she clenched her fist "And I have done that" Reginald said "Yeah, but you have put that serum in her, haven't you?" Ella said as she pointed her finger on him "I don't know what your are talking about" he said "Don't you play dumb, I saw her eyes today, they were glowing dark red, so you put that serum in her. I fucking told you that she was not one of your experiments and I also told you that I don't want her on any of your missions and you went behind my back and did it anyway!" she said out loud "I needed her for that mission, it's not my fault that it went wrong. She would have died if I hadn't put that serum in her" he said and the anger in Ella raised.

"YOU ARE A FUCKING MONSTER!" she shouted "Easy, you're waking my children" he said "Maybe that's good. Maybe is time for your children and the world to see who you really are and what your plan really is with those seven kids" Ella said and Reginald could see on her face that she was seriously.

He had to be careful now, Ella was not like other people, she could be just as dangerous as he could and you should take her seriously.

"Don't underestimates me, Reggie" she said "What do you want?" he asked "I want you to remove it from her body, now" she said "I can't do that, Miss Eversun. Once it had enter her system, I can't take it out of her" he said "Then remove her powers" Ella said and he raised his brow.

"I don't want my daughter to have a dangerous future and I know it will be dangerous with those powers she have, so I want you to remove them, now" she said.

"Listen, even if I could, it's too dangerous, she is too young. It will kill her and you don't want our daughter to die, do you?" he asked "So is okay to turn her into a witch, a monster?" she asked "Listen, I'm sorry about the mission. It went wrong and if I hadn't put that serum in her, she might not have survived. I saved her life" he said "And at the same time, you turned her into a walking timebomb, a grenade just waiting to go off" she said "Your daughter is capable of great things, she can might even changed reality. I know that she will become the most dangerous and powerful person in the whole universe, if you just let me keep train her" he said.

"No. You had your chance. You went behind my back and you just broke the last trust I had in you. So I see no other way now" she said and Reginald raised a brow "My daughter is no longer allow to come here. She is no longer allow to get near this place, you are no longer allow to go near her, and she is no longer allow to see your kids. I want you and your kids out of my daughter's life forever" Ella said as she pointed her finger at him.

"Do you really want to cause your daughter that pain?" he asked "I'm doing this for her own good. It will be hard for her 'cause I know how close she is with your kids. But they are bad for her. So the best way is to forbid her to ever see you and your children, ever again" Ella said "It's such a shame to waste a person like our daughter" he said "Bad for you maybe. Just stay out of our life and I will keep my mouth shut, got it" she said and Reginald nodded.

Ella then turned around before walking away.

The next day you opened your eyes already at 5:20, you were so ready to see Five and the others again.

You jumped out of bed before getting changed for the day.

You then walked out of your bedroom to see your mom sitting by the kitchen table with an empty coffee pot on the table.

"Mom" you said as she looked at you. You could see that she looked tired and by her face she had not slept at all.

"You okay?" you asked "Yeah, I'm fine" she said, even so it was a lie "I'm ready to go. I promised Klaus to be there early so we can prank the others" you said "Come here honey" she said and you walked over to her.

"Listen" she said as she grabbed your hands "Something happen and I don't want you near Reginald or The Umbrella kids ever again" she said "What? Why?"  you removed your hands from hers.

"'Cause they are not good people" she said "They are not bad people, they are good people and they are the only people that I have met that like me for me, and they are also special" you said "They are the reason you got injured" she said "It was not their fault" you said "You almost died" she said "But I didn't" you said "I don't care, you are not allow to see them" she said "You can't tell me what to do" you said out loud causing the room to start shaking "Yes, I can. I'm your mother and as long as you live under my roof, I'm in charge" your mom said also raising her voice.

You clenched your fist and your eyes started glowing red while red energy whips appeared on your hands causing the things to start floating around you.

"YOU CAN'T KEEP ME AWAY FROM THEM!" you shouted and the mug broke making glass shattered "YES I CAN. I'M YOUR MOTHER AND AS LONG AS YOU'RE A MINOR. YOU ARE DOING WHAT I SAY!" Ella shouted "They are my friends" you said "Not anymore. I want them out of your life and I want you to forget about them!" your mom shouted "NO!" you shouted and the glass around the room broke making glass shattered while things were flying around the room.

"That is enough, go to your room. You're grounded. I'm taking you to work everyday, there I can keep an eye on you!" Ella shouted as she pointed at your bedroom door.

While tears was falling down from your eyes, you turned around before slamming your door closed and you lay down in bed, crying.

Five and his siblings were all sitting around the table, eating breakfast.

Five kept looking at the clock, waiting for you to ring on the door bell like you always do just when they are done with breakfast. He always felt like the time passed by slowly every time he was waiting for you.

As soon as the clock reach 5:30, Five quickly looked at his dad "I'm done" he said "You are excuse" Reginald said and Five nodded before he blinked up to a higher floor where a huge round window was at the edge of the house.

He walked over to the window before he opened it to look out, so he could see when you arrived.

Five would always blink up to this window before he opened it to look outside, 'cause it had the view to the front of the Academy and therefore he could see when you arrived. 

He put his hand on the window's edge and looked at the direction your car would come from.

Five minutes went by and he started tapping his foot impatient, waiting for you. 

Five more minutes went by "Come on Nat" Five said as he kept his eyes in the same direction.

10 minutes went by "Where are you Nat?" Five asked as he think it was weird, you had only being late once, but you were always there before six.

Another five minutes went by and Five started getting worried, has something happen to you. Maybe you were sick, yeah, you have to be sick otherwise you would have arrived by now.

"NUMBER FIVE, TRANING IS STARTING!" Reginald shouted from downstairs and Five let out a sigh before he closed the window and went down the stairs.

For that whole week, you refused to leave the house. Your mom had to dragged you out of your room so she could bring you to work.

But as soon as you got home, you ran into your room and sat in the corner, crying.

It has already being a week since you saw Five and his siblings and you miss them so much already, especially Five.

Five hadn't heard or seen you and he was getting nervous and he wasn't the only one, Vanya, Ben, Diego and Klaus were nervous too. 

"Why isn't Talie here?" Diego asked as him and the six others were in the living room "I don't know, I mean she have being sick before, but that would only last two days and then she is better again" Vanya said "What if something has happen to her?" Klaus asked as Five was walking back and forth worried and nervously.

"Five?" Ben asked as he looked at his brother "Something is wrong. I can feel it. It doesn't look like Nat to not show up like that" Five said "What do you suggest we do?" Vanya asked "Maybe ask dad" Luther said and Allison nodded.

The seven kids knocked on their dad's office "Yeah" he said and they opened the door.

"What is it children, I'm busy and your play time is over soon" Reginald said "Where is Natalie?" Five asked "Why do you ask?" Reginald asked "'Cause it has being a week since we last heard from her. And it don't look like her" Ben said "So have you heard from her?" Diego asked "In matter of fact I have" Reginald said "And?" Klaus asked "She is no longer welcome here" Reginald said and the kid's eyes widened.

"What? Why?" Five asked "It's not important" Reginald said "Yes it is, why is she not welcome here?" Five asked "Her mom and I decided that it would be best if Natalie stay away from you and you children stay away from her as well" Reginald said "Why? What happen? Why can't we see her?" Five asked "No more questions kids, I forbid you to ever see Natalie again, now go to back to training" Reginald said "But--" "No but, do it now" Reginald said and the others let out a sigh as they walked away from their dad.

"It's doesn't make sense. What happen? Why are we not allow to see her?" Vanya asked "Maybe it has to do with that accident at the mission. Maybe her mom found out and then forbid for Talie to see us ever again" Diego said "What shall we do. I miss her already" Klaus said "It's not fair" Ben said.

"What do we do?" Allison asked "Maybe we can't do anything other than do as dad says. Maybe is for the best" Luther said "Hell no" Vanya and the other boys said "Dad have already taking so much from us, we're not gonna allow him to take Nat away from us too" Five said "I agree with Five. Tilly is one of us" Klaus said "But what shall we do?" Diego asked.

"I have an idea, but we might break some rules" Five said "Well, as long as we get to see Tilly, I don't care, so I'm in" Klaus said "Me too" Ben said "So am I" Diego said "Alright, after dinner, we crawl out the fire escape and then we're going to Nat's house. Who is with me?" Five asked as he stretched his left fist forwards.

"I am"

"Me too" 

"Hell yeah" 

"Let's do this" 

All the siblings then fist bump as they smiled.

It was dark and your mom had already going to bed but you were still awake. You were laying in bed sobbing.

But suddenly you heard a small knocked on your window which cause you to turn around but you saw nothing there.

You got up before walking over to look outside but there were nothing.

Then you heard the sound of a whoosh behind you causing you to turn around and that's when your eyes widened when you saw Five standing in front of you with his hands in his pockets and his head tilted a bit.

"Hey Nat Nat" he said with a smile "Five" you said before you ran over to him, wrapping your arms around him.

"You found me" you said "I will always find you. Always" he said and you smiled.

"I have missed you so much" you said "I have missed you too, a lot" he said as he hugged you tighter.

You two stood there for a minute before pulling away "My mom, wouldn't allow me to see you guys anymore" you said "I know. My dad told me and my siblings the same. But I'm not letting them tear us apart" he said "We can't Five. They will be mad" you said "They wouldn't be mad if they don't know about it" he said "What do you mean?" you asked "Do you trust me?" he asked  "Forever and with my life" you said and Five grabbed you before he blinked the two of you away.

You both appeared in front of a diner name 'Griddy's Doughnuts'

"TALIE" someone said and you turned around to see the rest of the siblings running towards you and you hugged them all with a smile.

"We missed you" Vanya said "I missed you guys too" you said.

"Listen, we can't let our dad or your mom keep us away from you. So what do you say that every night when the adults think we are asleep. We will meet here and hang out" Five said "But what if they catch us?" you asked "They wouldn't, I don't mind picking you up for the time being, but else you can meet us here. What do you say?" Five asked and you nodded which caused the others to smile.

Five slowly woke up before he blinked a few times with his eyes to figure out where he was.

He moved a bit until he felt someone was behind him. He slowly sat up before he turned to see you sleeping with your back facing the wall.

Five looked at you, it was weird. Why does he feel so drawn to you? He had just met you, but he felt like he had know you forever.

He reached out for your face, attempting to slid a piece of your hair away from your face, but he took his hand back when Luther sat down on a chair "You're awake" he said.

"Has she being here the whole night?" Five asked and Luther nodded "She tried to sleep on the chair, but I told her that it would be best if she slept in the bed" Luther said and Five brushed his fingers against your hair.

"So" Luther said, cleaning his throat and Five turned to look at him "When's it supposed to happen? This...apocalypse?" Luther asked "I can't give you the exact hour, but...from what I could gather, we have four days left" Five said "Why didn't you say something sooner?" Luther asked out loud.

"Hush, you will wake Natalie" Five said "Does she know?" Luther asked "Yeah, so does Klaus and before you say anything more, I ask them not to say anything" Five said "But why didn't you tell us?" Luther asked "It wouldn't have mattered" Five said "Of course it would. We could've banded together and helped you try to stop this thing" Luther said out again a little louder and you opened your eyes.

"For the record, you already tried" Five said "What do you mean?" Luther asked and Five looked down for a moment before taking a deep breath "I found all of you" he said quietly "Except for Natalie" he said before he looked back up at him "Your bodies" he said while your face fell.

He shouldn't have to go through that. That's horrible for anyone. He was way too young to experience any of that.

"We die?" Luther asked "Horribly" Five answered as he thought back to that moment, he found their bodies under the rubbles.

Then suddenly he felt a hand grabbing his and he turned his head to see you sitting next to him.

He felt whole when he could feel your hand on his and you sent him a smile which he returned.

"You were together, trying to stop whoever it was that ends the world" Five said with the sound of sadness in his voice.

"Wait, how do you know that?" Luther asked and Five pulled out a cloth from his blazer pocket before he unravel it, taking out the eye "This was clutched in your dead hand when I found you" he said, holding the eye up before throwing it to Luther who caught it before he started looking at it.

"Must've ripped it out of their head right before you went down" Five said "Whose head?" Luther asked "Like I said, I don't know" Five said and Luther turned the eye around, looking at the back of it "Well, there's a serial number on the back. Think maybe you could try---" "No, that's a dead end" Five said, cutting him off.

Five let out a chuckled "It's just another hunk of glass" he said and Luther leaned forward, handing the eye to Five who nodded before taking the eye.

Then the door opened "Piece of shit" Diego said, storming in before stomping down the stairs causing Luther to get up and Five to look up "Do you have any idea what you just did?" Diego said as he charged at Five while you quickly stood up, putting yourself in front of Five, protecting him.

But before Diego could reach Five, Luther grabbed Diego, pushing him back while keeping a hold on him causing Diego to start grunting and moving around, trying to get away from Luther as he held him in the air "Nope, let me---Get your ape hands off me!" Diego shouted but Luther just picked Diego more up before he squeeze him slightly "I can do this as long as it takes you to calm down" he said "Diego, if you want Short Pants, you have to get through me first and I don't think you want a reminder of what I can do" you said but Diego didn't listen.

"Stop this. Trauma in a toxic household can lead to fractures that runs deep. It can pit family members against one another, leaving them unable to see the real cause of their pain. Your father conditioned all of you to be soldiers for his cause, not a fanily for each other. And now you're doing exactly what he wanted, fighting among yourself instead of standing together" you said.

Both Five, Diego and Luther stared at you, stunned in silence.

"Fine" Diego said as he calm down, panting and Luther placed him down on the floor again.

"Now, wanna tell us what you're taking about?" Luther asked "Yeah, tells us what happened before you murder Short Pants here" you said as you pointed your thumb at Five "Stop calling me that" Five said "Then change clothes" you said and Five rolled his eyes as you stepped aside before you sat down on the bed again.

"Our brother has been pretty busy since he got back. He was in the middle of that shootout at Griddy's and then at Gimble Brothers, after the guys in masks attacked the Academy, looking for him" Diego said angry as he pointed his finger at Five "None of which is any of your concern" Five said calm "It is now. They just killed my friend" Diego said and you could hear the pain in his voice.

It sounded on his voice that the person was more than just a friend.

"I'm so sorry Diego" you said and he looked at you to see on your face that you actually felt sorry for him.

Luther then turned to look at Five "Who are they Five?" he asked and you looked at Five 

"They work for my former employer. A woman called The Handler. She sent them...to stop me. Then, soon as Diego's friend got in their way, well, fair game" Five said "And now they're my fair game. And I'm gonna see to it they pay" Diego said before he walked towards the door "That would be a mistake, Diego. They've killed people far more dangerous than you" Five said "Yeah, we'll see about that" Diego said as he walked out the door "DIEGO!" you called after him but he just slammed the door behind him.

"Former employer?" Luther asked them "What's this really about? And don't give me any of this 'It's none of your business' crap, all right?" Luther said "Well, it's a long story" Five said and Luther sat down ready to hear the story.

Flashback start....

A older Five lowered his rifle as he looked at the woman. The woman had short white hair, wearing black, with a black hat and black sunglasses while holding a black briefcase.

"Who the hell are you?" Five asked "I'm here to help" the woman said and stepped closer "Tell me why I shouldn't put a bullet through your head right now!" Five said "Because...if you did, you wouldn't hear the offer I'm about to make you" the woman said before she put down the briefcase and took off her sunglasses.

"Which would be rather tragic, given your...current circumstances" she said and sat down on a brick.

"I work for an organization called the Commission. We are tasked with the preservation of the time continuum through manipulation and removals" the woman said "I don't understand" Five said "Sometimes, people...make choice that alter time. Free will, don't get me started. When that happens, we dispatch one of our agents to...eliminate the threat" the woman said and Five pointed the rifle at her "No, no, no, no. You misunderstand me. You're not a target. You're a recruit" the woman said and Five lowered the gun "I've come to offer you a job, Number Five. We've had our eye on you for quite some time. And we think you have a lot of potential. Your survival skills have made you quite a celebrity back at headquarters. That and your ability to jump through time" the woman said.

"You saying that I...I could actually leave here. Go...Go back?" Five asked "In return for five years of service. Once your contract is done, you can retire to the time and place of your choosing with a pension plan to boot" the woman said "If you can alter time why not just stop all of this from ever happening" Five said "That's quite impossible, I'm afraid. You see...all of this, it was supposed to happen" she said "That's insane. The end of everything?" Five asked "Not everything. Just the end of...something. So..." the woman said and stretched her arm towards Five "Do we have an agreement?" she asked.

Flashback ends...

"They turned me into the perfect instrument for rehabilitation of the time continuum. Or 'corrections' as they called them. I wasn't the only one. There are others like me. Beings out of time, fractured. Extracted from the lives that they knew. I don't know how they got there. But I do know that none of them was never as good as me. The Commission takes helpless vulnerable people and then turn them into slaves for a corrupt system" Five explain as you and Luther was looking at him.

"They didn't realize it, but I was biding my time, trying to figure out the right equation so I could get back. If I could just get back, I knew I could stop the apocalypse. Save the world. So I broke my contract" Five said.

"So...you were a hitman?" Luther asked "Yes" Five said as you handed him a plate and a cup of water.

He nodded a thank you to you before he put the plate next to him.

"Uh...I mean, you had a code, right? You didn't just kill anyone. Did you?" Luther asked as he sat back down on the chair.

"No code. I took out anyone who messed with the time line" Five said.

"What about innocent people?" Luther asked "Luther, I think when he say no code then it means that innocent or not, they'll kill anyone who dares to mess up the timeline. So if Five wanted to get back, he had to do it" you said before you looked at Five "Right?" you asked and he nodded "Yeah. It was the only way I could get back here" he said and you looked down. It must have being hard for Five. Being force to do something so horrible.

"But that's murder" Luther said "Jesus, Luther, grow up. We're not kids anymore. There's no such things as good guys or bad guys. There's just people, going about their lives. But when the world ends all those people die, good, bad, innocent, guilty. All of them, including our family" Five said and let out a sigh "Time changes everything" he finished.

"Shit" you said and Five looked at you "What?" he asked "I have to say goodbye to my mom and then I have to figure out why the hell most of my memories from the age of five to 13 are blank and dark holes. It's time" you said before getting up.

"I gotta go" you said before looking at Luther "Luther you better take care of the Coffee Boy here, if he gets hurt, I will hurt you" you said "What if you get hurt?" Five asked, a little worried "I can handle and protect myself" you said before walking out the room causing Five to let out a sigh.

"You are in love with her" Luther said but Five didn't answer as he got up before him and Luther left.

Even so Ella and Reginald forbid the kids to see each other, you still did in secret. 

Everytime after bed, you would meet up with Five and the others.

Sometime Five would blink to your room and then blink himself and you to Griddy's Doughnuts. Sometimes either Klaus, Diego or Ben would pick you up and sometimes you went yourself.

You were laying in your bed with your eyes opened. As soon as the door to the bedroom opened, you quickly closed your eyes, pretending to be asleep.

Ella walked over to you before she kissed your forehead. She then turned around before walking out the door, closing it behind her.

You then got out of bed before you walked over to the door, and you pressed your left ear against the door.

As soon as you heard your mom closed her door to her bedroom, you smiled before you walked over to your window and opened it, crawling out.

You arrived at Griddy's Doughnuts to see Five and the other kids standing at the front door, waiting for you.

"Hey guys" you said as you ran up to them "TALIE" they said with as smile while Five gave you a quick hug.

"Let's do this" you said and the eight of you enter the diner to see a blonde woman with a pink uniform standing behind the counter, the name Agnes was writing on her uniform.

"Can I help you kids?" she asked "We liked four dozens of doughnuts, please" Klaus said and you looked at Klaus.

"Three dozen?" Agnes asked a bit surprise "Why are your parents?" she asked "Um" Klaus said, not knowing what to say.

"They are busy, so they drop of here, saying we were old enough to buy some food for ourself" you said and Klaus nodded "I have money" he said before he pulled up some dollars from his pocket.

Agens looked at him for a moment before slowly taking the money, counting them.

"Well, you got enough for four boxes" she said before she glanced at the eight kids "What kind do you kids want?" she asked "I want a jelly one" Klaus said "Glazed" Luther and Diego said "Raspberries" Allison said "Chocolate for me" you said "I would like some with sprinkled" Vanya sad "Me too" Ben said "I want the same as her" Five said as he pointed on you.

Agens nodded before she went over to pick out the doughnuts.

After she had picked some up, she gave the four boxes to the kids and they took her "Thank you" you said with a smile "You're welcome" Agens said with a smile.

You and the others walked over to sit down before you opened the four boxes and began eating while talking and laughing.

"There are so good" you said as you took a huge bite of your Chocolate doughnut causing some of the fresh chocolate to land on her face.

Five let out a chuckled "What?" you asked "You have something" he said as he pointed above your lip and you tried to wipe it off "No, the other side" he said and you wipe the other side "Is it gone?" you asked "Nope" he said and you wipe again "How about now?" you asked and he shook his head "It's still there" he said and you then wipe your whole face.

"No, don't do that" Five said while laughing a bit "What?" you asked "Let me. I'll get it for you" he said before he grabbed a napkin and wipe the small piece of chocolate off.

Your face heated up, Five was so close to you.

"There you go" he said "Thanks" you said "You two are so cute" Klaus said.

---

When you and the others was done with all the four boxes of doughnut, you all walked out of the diner "Well guys, I have to get back home" you said and everyone sighed in sadness "I know. But I have to. If my mom and your dad finds out. Hell will break lose" you said before you hugged each the kids goodbye.

Five was the last you hugged "Knowing that I get see you everyday, gets me through the day" he said and you smiled "Thanks for a loving evening, see you tomorrow" you said as you pulled away "See you tomorrow" he said as the two of you look at each other.

"Good night Short Pants" you said "Good night Nat" he said.

Five then froze when he felt your lips on his left cheek. His whole face blush and he didn't really know what to do.

You looked at the other "Good night guys" you said as you waved at them "Good night Talie" they said as they waved back and you turned around before you ran away.

Five put his left hand on his left cheek, still feeling your lips on his cheek

"Five is in love" Klaus sang and Five snapped his head at him "Shut up" he said as the others laughed.

"Through our life you will meet one person who is unlike any other, you'll be able to talk to this person for hours and never get bored, you'll be able to tell them things and they'll never judge you, this person is your best friend"
