The Werewolf King

The werewolves dragged Mercy off to their home. "Your appearance is wanted before the King", the werewolf who carried Mercy said this in quite a serious manner. That serious tone of a guard. Mercy still could not answer or speak back to the wolves. Mercy thought, "I'll just wait to meet the king. Then I could go home. Hopefully. I don't work with those people, so I can't be accused of being one of them". Mercy wasn't sent to the king straight away. She went to a jail cell first. It was cold and dark. Apparently they weren't even needed as much as the wolves thought. There were ten of them. All of them were empty except the one Mercy was in.

"Don't get any bright ideas about leaving". Mercy nodded and thought, "I could leave whenever, but why would I?". Someone walked in the room and told the werewolf on guard to take a break. "Hey, girl, take a rest your staying here for the night", he told her, "You won't see the king until tomorrow". He was in his human form. He probably was one of the werewolves who don't like to be in wolf form there whole life. Mercy took his advice and went to sleep. The cell Mercy slept in was cruel. No bed! Mercy didn't mind. She just walked to a corner, sat down, and fell fast asleep.

It was the next day and Mercy had to go to the king. "Wake up, pest", someone yelled, "WAKE UP NOW". Mercy was awake for a while now, but if the only reason she was doing this was to mess with a dog's mind, then why not have fun now? One of the werewolves just walked in and shoved her a bit. Mercy just opened her right eye and quietly said, "I've been awake for a while now". She knew she could speak seeing as she was going to see the king soon. "That brat". The wolf who shoved Mercy grabbed her by the arm and took her out the cell.

It wasn't a long trip to the king. Just need to go up the ladder at the end of the dungeon, take a left, and climb a set of stairs. When Mercy was introduced to the king she couldn't help, but notice he wasn't in his wolf form either. "Tell me why you have harmed my kingdom", the king demanded. Mercy just tilted her head down. "Answer me now", he furiously yelled. "Well I'm sorry if I can't answer. You see I am just a humble witch who was passing at the time this crime committed against you happened", Mercy said turning into her natural form, "I have done no such act against you. I also can't speak for others in times like these". Mercy placed her right hand on her chest and did a quick bow.

The king sat on his thrown quietly as he thought of what to say to Mercy. Mercy just looked at him with her devilish smirk. Around Mercy werewolves were quietly whispering. Mercy couldn't make out what they were saying because it was in there language. "You helped out those monsters! You must be working with them", the king loudly and angrily yelled. "I assure you, your highness, I do not work with them", Mercy told him respectively, "Now if you'll excuse me I have more important manners to tend to". Mercy began to walk out the castle, but on her way she purposely let out her Eirr ears and tail. "Oh yeah, I have to say something before I leave... Werewolves are big mongrels with no sophisticated minds whatsoever", she taunted.

Several werewolf guards began to run towards Mercy. Mercy was finally going to have fun without the High Court ruining it. Mercy turned into a cat and waved her tail in a taunting manner. "Nya, nya, you can't catch me". She quickly ran out the door making sure the wolves were chasing her. She stopped every so often to aggravate more wolves and to make sure she didn't lose too many. She ran around the town for hours. She seemed to have never lost any bit of her energy. "Your all just dumb dogs", she taunted. For the rest of the day all you can hear were loud growls and barks.

When all of the wolves gave up on chasing the poor little cat, Mercy decided to leave the town. "Hmph, I thought they would be more fun than that". A nearby werewolf heard her say that and wondered what she meant. He decided to follow her, after all she might have valuable goods he could take from her. She had sensed his presence, but decided not to acknowledge him deeply. "Mangy mongrels never like to have any fun, neither does the High Court", Mercy said loudly to aggravate the nearby werewolf. Mercy reached her hand in front of her and yelled, "Minttnim". Mint soon appeared in her hand. "Finally you summon me! I missed our adventures", Mint unhappily yelled. "Calm down, Mint. I doubt you'd want to deal with the mutts I just faced", Mercy said with a smirk on her face.
