Zoe went grocery shopping with Scott. After buying the things they needed, they walked through the parking garage. Scott couldn't remember where he had parked the car.

"You know, you could carry some bags too" Scott said, struggling with the many bags in his hands.

"Hey! I'm carrying one too" Zoe replied, showing him her small bag full of Reese's. "Are you serious? And why do you need so many of them?" the older twin asked. "Because Dad ate them all" Zoe pouted.

"That's true! Dad is soooo obsessed with them" Zoe exclaimed. "Well, like father, like daughter, right sweetie?" Melissa asked her daughter.

"Is it my fault that Reese's is the best food?" father and daughter said at the same time, sulking.

"And if I were you, I would find the car and not complain" Zoe added.

He rolled his eyes, put down the bags and took out the car keys. There was a noise, but it came from above the twins. Zoe groaned because they were on the wrong floor.

Suddenly the milk fell out of one of the bags and rolled under one of the cars.

"Oh, crap!" Scott said. He went to grab it. The milk rolled back, with claw marks and dripping milk. Zoe and Scott looked around. They heard a growl and started running.

Zoe made a hand signal for him to hide in one direction and she in the other. Scott saw Zoe jump onto the cars and he followed, setting off the alarms. They had jumped off the cars and each hid behind a car.

Scott's phone had started ringing, and as Scott searched for it, Zoe slapped her forehead in frustration at how stupid he could be.

"No. No, stop!" Scott said, pointing to his phone. Out of nowhere, someone grabbed Scott and threw him onto the roof of the car.

Zoe had seen this and attacked the person, growling, but calmed down when she saw it was Derek. "You're dead" Derek said to Scott.

The twins had started to follow Derek as he walked away. "What? What the hell was that?" Scott asked appalled.

"I said I was gonna teach you-- I didn't say when" Derek said. "You scared the crap out of me and Zoe!" Scott exclaimed. "Well, my heartbeat was perfectly normal" Zoe replied.

"Not yet", Derek said. "Okay, but we were fast, right?" Scott asked. "Not fast enough" he replied, looking more at Scott. "But-but the car alarm thing! That was smart, right?" Scott continued.

"First of all, this was Zoe's idea, and secondly, 'til your phone rang. There are plus points because Zoe attacked me" Derek replied.

"Yeah, but that was--I mean--" Scott tried to find the right words. "Would you just stop? Please?" Scott asked desperately, and Derek stopped and turned to them.

"What happened the other night-- Stiles' dad almost got hit was terrible. I should have been there to do something. I need you to teach me how to control this" Scott said. "That's true, if Luna hadn't been there, it probably wouldn't have turned out so well. Please help him, he's terrible at being a werewolf" Zoe said.

"Look, I am what I am because of birth. You and Zoe were bitten. Teaching someone who was bitten takes time. Zoe has it completely under control, but I don't even know if I can teach you" Derek explained.

"What do I have to do?" Scott asked. "You have to get rid of distractions. Zoe can control that because she won't be distracted" Derek said, reaching for Scott's phone, which showed him the missed call.

"Yeah, sure. Keep playing around with the fact that I've never had a boyfriend, idiot!" Zoe complained, hitting Derek on the back of the head, causing him to groan briefly.

"And that's not going to change any time soon, young lady" Marco said, while Zoe just rolled her eyes.

"You see this?" Derek asked. "This is why I caught you. You want me to teach you? Get rid of her" Derek said

"What, just because of her family? Zoe is friends with her. Why don't you tell her too?" Scott asked, seeing Derek about to throw his phone.

"Wait! Wait! Whoa, whoa--" Scott said, but Derek already threw his phone and broke it. "You getting angry?" Derek asked.

"That's why he needed a new phone. Thanks for that, my nephew" said Marco. "Hey! I didn't know then that he was my cousin, my dearest uncle" Derek defended himself.

"Even if you knew, you would still do it" Zoe said calmly. "Whose side are you on?" Derek asked. "Hey! Dad, give me Reese's! If you give me Reese's, then we can talk about this again" Zoe defended herself.

"That's your first lesson. You want to learn how to control this. How to shift-- you do it through anger, by tapping into your primal rage, and you can't do that with her around" Derek explained.

"I can get angry" Scott said. "Not angry enough. This is the only way that I can teach you" Derek said. "Now, can you stay away from her? At least until after the full moon?" Derek asked.

"If that's what it takes" Scott said. "Do you want to live? Do you want to protect your friends, your sister? Yes, or no?" Derek asked.

"Yes. If you can teach me, I can stay away from her" Scott said. "Okay, bye" Zoe said, taking Derek's arm.

"You know you're a bad teacher, right?" Zoe asked him. "I mean, anger will never be his anchor" she added.

"How did you know he would need an anchor?" Derek asked, confused. "Already forgotten? Alpha werewolf father" Zoe replied. "What's your anchor by the way?" Derek asked curiously. "Simple: me" Zoe replied, impressing Derek because he didn't know anyone who had themselves as an anchor.

"Before I forget, here's the bag of Reese's" Derek said, handing it back to Zoe. "Thanks" she thanked him as she looked into the bag and noticed that one was missing.

"Derek, whatever your middle name is, Hale! Where's my Reese?!" she called after him, which made Derek flinch. "Are you serious, you have your Reese's under control?" he asked annoyed and pulled out the lost one, which Zoe quickly grabbed and put in the bag.

"Oh ho, believe me. First my father and now you. You're so lucky that I like you, otherwise you would have been dead a long time ago... well, you're lucky that I like you and that Luna likes you, otherwise you would have been dead a long time ago" the youngest Bennett quickly corrected herself. "Oh, how, gracious" Derek replied ironic as he said goodbye to Zoe, who went back to Scott.

"I can't believe it! It runs in the family to fall in love with Reese's and steal them from me!" Zoe exclaimed, looking accusingly at Marco and Derek, who only belittled themselves.

Allison, Luna, Lydia and Zoe sat in the school library while Allison and Zoe read a book about their ancestors.

Zoe's book had only V. Bennett on the front of the leather book. She opened the book and quickly realized it was a diary. She slowly flipped through the delicate and old pages as she began to read:

Tonight, like most evenings, Benedict had convinced me, Nathaniel, Victor and Juliette to sneak out of the village. Thankfully, this time we were not caught by my and Ben's fathers. We found ourselves on the outskirts of our village, somewhere in the forest, and spent most of the evening enjoying the quiet of the clearing until things started to seem strange. It was later in the evening and the full moon was at its brightest. Nathaniel was the first to feel unwell. He said he had a terrible pain in his head. Victor had the same, but Victor said his bones were breaking, causing him terrible pain. The rest of us didn't realize how serious it was until Nathaniel was on the ground, screaming in pain and leaning against the stump of a large tree that had fallen earlier. As for Victor, he suddenly turned into a wolf. None of us had any idea what was going on; we all began to feel the excruciating pain. Ben and I experienced the same pain as Nathaniel, while Juliette felt the same pain as Victor...

"Zoe!" Lydia shouted, making Zoe jump. She looked at her best friend and asked, "What's up?"

"Don't tell me you're also lost in the history of your ancestors" said Lydia. "I'm sorry, Lyds, but it's very exciting. Just a few more minutes please and then I'll be done with the first chapter" Zoe asked her best friend for patience. "And what about you, Luna? Nothing about your ancestors?" asked Lydia. "Yes, but I found that out when I was 13 to 15" explained Luna.

Zoe was once again engrossed in her ancestor's diary, reading:

...Juliette was turned into a wolf, like Victor. The rest of us were different. Claws extended from our fingernails, and a greater amount of facial hair began to grow. Our glowing eyes were the only source of light, aside from the moon and the lamp we carried with us. At the time, we had no idea what was happening; for most of the night, we couldn't remember a thing. But when morning came and half our village had been killed and we were covered in blood, we knew we were responsible. Most people outside our families called us monsters. At the time, we were too. We had no idea what we were-nobody knew. No one except our families. They taught us to be in control. Some of us were not only this beast we call wolves or werewolves, but witches too. No one would set foot in Beacon Hills after the rumors of the crimes we had committed. But those brave enough to face the dangers came to our village under the full moon, when we began our packs: The Hales, the Bennetts, the Claires, the Kenners, and the Labonaires - the original werewolf pack.

The Claires, the Kenners, and the Labonaires withdrew from Beacon Hills and settled in New Orleans and the bayou. We Hales and Bennetts stayed in Beacon Hills to protect it. But I believe that one day the five of us packs will be together again.

"Where did you get our ancestor's diary?" Marco asked his daughter. "I found it in the attic" she replied and shrugged her shoulders.

"We really need to lock the attic" Melissa whispered to Marco, considering everything that had happened to Zoe up there and everything she had found out. Marco just nodded in response.

After school, Luna was walking through the school hallways when someone called her.

"Luna!"

Luna turned around and smiled when she saw Danny. "Hey Danny, what's up?"

"Do you have any plans today?" he asked curiously. "No, why? Do you have plans?" Luna asked, smiling. "Well, maybe, we could watch a movie or a show at my place" Danny suggested. "I'd love to."

They both walked out of the school to Danny's car and then drove to his place.

"You're getting into a stranger's car?" asked Sirius. "Well, if the person has ice cream, why not?" Luna answered, shrugging her shoulders. Both Blacks looked into each other's eyes and suddenly started laughing because they couldn't take each other seriously.

When they arrived, they went inside. "What do you think of the show 'The Witcher'?" he asked while scrolling through his Netflix account. "Oh, Geralt is so hot. I'm not saying no to him" Luna replied with a grin. They watched the show, ate popcorn and chatted.

"So, Luna, let's get to the most asked question in the world: Who from school would you most like to date?" asked Danny, holding the remote control up to her like a microphone.

Luna laughed at the gesture. "Well, no one from school. But if you weren't gay, I'd love to go out with you. I mean, you're every mother-in-law's dream" she said with a grin and a wink. Danny laughed and said, "Well, thanks. You know, if I wasn't gay, you'd be my number 1. But you already are."

"Awww, he is sooo cute" the girls said, which made the men look outraged.

"You're so sweet" Luna said, smiling, and they both continued watching the show until Luna suddenly fell asleep.

"Luna" Danny whispered, gently shaking her awake. "Hmm?" she mumbled groggily in her sleep. "Your phone rang" he continued. "Who was it?" Luna asked, rubbing her eyes. "A certain 'Sourwolf'" the teenager replied.

"Sourwolf, are you serious?!" Derek asked as he looked at Luna while everyone laughed. "Oh come on! You're lucky I didn't save you as 'Derek Hale'. You know what's going to happen soon" Luna said in defense.

Luna stretched her limbs and reached for her phone. "Okay, I'll call him" she said as she opened the contact 'Sourwolf'. After three beeps, 'Sourwolf' answered.

"Hey, you wanted something from me?" Luna started the conversation. "Hey, yes, I need your help. I'll pick you up at your home" Derek said on the other end of the line. "You can do that, but the problem is, I'm not at home" Luna replied. "Then where are you? With Lydia or Allison?" Derek asked, frowning, knowing that she couldn't be with the twins or Stiles.

"You know, my dear, I have different friends than the others" said Luna and heard Derek sigh on the other side. "Okay, where are you? Then I'll pick you up there" said Derek. "I'm at Danny's" she replied and gave him the address. "Okay, I'll be right there" said Derek and hung up.

Luna looked at Danny. "I'm sorry, the sleepover isn't going to work out" Luna explained apologetically. "No problem, you probably have better things to do with your boyfriend" Danny said with a grin.

"I don't have a...He's not mine...You know what, it doesn't matter" Luna stammered and said goodbye to Danny with a hug.

Luna was waiting for Derek a few houses away when he arrived in the car, got out, and held the door open for her. "Thank you" she said with a smile as she got in. Derek got back in, too, and they drove towards the school.

"So what's so urgent that it couldn't wait until tomorrow?" Luna asked annoyed because she really wanted this sleepover with Danny. "We're going to school where the twins and most likely Stiles will be waiting for us" Derek answered as he continued driving.

Luna was about to say something when she turned around and saw an unconscious, tied up Deaton.

"Derek, what did you do?!" Talia asked her son angrily. "Um...there was a misunderstanding?" Derek said, which sounded more like a question. "A misunderstanding? That's an understatement" Scott muttered, earning a glare from Derek.

"You know what? I'm not even going to ask" the Black began. Derek looked at her in confusion for a moment, but was glad he didn't have to explain it to her. "Because you're going to tell me exactly what happened" she ended, which made Derek curse inwardly. During the entire trip, he explained to Luna what had happened and what the plan was.

Soon they reached the high school and saw the twins and Stiles standing in the parking lot.

Derek parked right in front of them. He got out first, opened Luna's door and helped her out.

"Luna?" Scott asked as Zoe went to hug her.

"Hey guys, what's up?" Luna asked casually.

"Yo Derek, where's our boss?" Zoe asked. "He's in the back" Derek replied as Luna pointed to where Deaton was lying unconscious.

"Oh, well, he looks comfortable" Stiles said sarcastically, making Luna smile.

"Wait--" Derek said as Stiles, Scott and Zoe were about to enter the school.

"Hey. What are you doing?" Derek asked as the boys exchanged glances.

"You said I was linked with the Alpha-- I'm gonna see if you're right" Scott said. "And I'll accompany them and be the moral support" Zoe added as the three entered the school.

"What do you think they're up to?" Derek asked Luna. "From what I can tell, something really, really stupid" Luna replied, laughing and seeing how intensely Derek was looking at her.

"Wow, you put so much faith in us, Luna. I'm hurt" Stiles said, holding his heart. "You'll get over it" Luna replied, grinning and winking at him.

"What's wrong?" she asked him, smiling. "Nothing, I just think your laugh is really sweet" he answered, smiling. And oh my God, he looks even better with his smile, Luna thought.

"You know, somehow Derek really does smile a lot more since he met Luna" Talia whispered with a smile to her husband, who just nodded in confirmation and smiled.

"And you should smile more, because it suits you" she told him with a smile. He grinned and continued to look into her eyes, just as she looked into his. I can't believe how green his eyes are. I could easily lose myself in them if I hadn't already, she thought.

They didn't realize how close they were. But before they could kiss, a noise like the moaning of a dying cat suddenly came. They both moved away and Luna grimaced as she tried to block out the sound, which was supposed to be a roar.

"Scott, I think my first task is to teach you to roar" Marco said to his son. "Dad, keep watching and you'll see what will happen" Scott replied. "By the way, yes, he was the one who roared" Zoe interjected, referring to the next roar.

"So, what I saw was you interrupting their, I don't know how many, kiss!" Lydia exclaimed, frustrated.

"You've got to be kidding me" Derek said in disbelief. Suddenly a loud, real roar came from the school.

"Ah, okay, now I understand. So if you keep roaring like that, it's good" Marco said proudly, and father and son gave each other a high-five.

Soon the twins and Stiles came out, and Derek glared at them.

"I'm gonna kill both of you!" Derek screamed, referring to the boys since he couldn't really harm Zoe.

"Aww, I knew you loved me" Zoe exclaimed, earning a smiling eye roll from Derek.

"Aww, I knew it. You...don't like me very much" Stiles said casually, earning a glare from Derek.

"What the hell was that? What are you trying to do, attract the entire state to the school?" he asked them, while Scott looked embarrassed.

"Sorry...I didn't know it would be so loud..." Scott said sheepishly. "I had nothing to do with it. Like I said, I was just the moral support" Zoe said, even though she didn't really feel addressed.
"Yeah, it was loud...and it was AWESOME!" Stiles said excitedly.

"Shut up" Derek said irritably. "Don't be such a sour-wolf!" Stiles replied mockingly. "Sourwolf? Good nickname. Hey Luna, isn't that what you've saved him on your phone? Maybe I'll do the same," Zoe said casually.

"By the way, what'd you do with him?" Zoe asked, meaning because Deaton was no longer in the car.

"What?" Derek asked as he looked at the car and noticed that Deaton was gone. Derek exchanged a confused look with Luna as they hadn't really been paying attention because they wanted to kiss.

"I didn't do anything..." Derek said before suddenly pushing Luna away from him and towards Stiles as the Alpha dug his claws into his chest.

"Derek!" Talia screamed, holding her son tightly in worry, and Derek tried to calm her down.

"You know, Stiles, Derek likes you. Well, at least he trusts you because he pushed Luna to you" Zoe explained, smiling. "Really?" Stiles asked excitedly. "Derek, is that true? You like me, don't you?" he asked Derek.

Derek gave Zoe a nasty look that said, 'What have you gotten me into?' He simply ignored Stiles' longing look and question and continued to look at the screen.

The girls screamed while Zoe covered her mouth and looked wide-eyed at Derek, blood pouring out of his mouth.

Tears streamed down Zoe's face as she looked at Derek in disbelief.

Derek took Zoe in his arms as she was also close to tears and rubbed her shoulders while whispering, "Everything will be okay. I survived, right?"

Zoe just nodded in agreement.

Stiles took a dazed Zoe by the hand and pulled her with Scott to the school, not noticing Luna running worriedly towards Derek's body and without being seen by the Alpha.

Luna felt around in Derek's jacket pockets for his car keys.

"Shouldn't you check first if I'm still alive?" asked Derek. "Who's the doctor here, me or you?" asked Luna rhetorically. "You... wait... since when are you a doctor?" asked Derek. "I'm not. I didn't say I was. But between the two of us, I'd be the better doctor" answered Luna and shrugged.

Derek looked back at the screen and noticed the scene. "It's time...when is the funeral?" Derek asked Luna, referring to his car. Luna just rolled her eyes. "Drama queen. Your car is still intact" she replied.

When she found him, she cast a levitation spell on Derek, hoisted him into the car, and got in the driver's side to drive away with him.

"You're just leaving us at the school?!" Stiles asked angrily. "Hey! You didn't notice that I wasn't following you either. So you could say that's your karma" Luna defended herself.

"Wow, no bad driving and no accidents?" Derek asked, impressed. "Of course not. When I drive a hot vehicle, I don't have accidents" Luna said, grinning. "Wait...Theoretically, you could scratch my car or have an accident and I wouldn't notice because I'd be unconscious. I wouldn't see it either because you could just magically make it go away with your magic" Derek thought out loud and then looked at Luna, who remained silent.

"Omg! I was right, wasn't I?!" Derek asked her angrily. "You're thinking about it too much" Luna just said and rolled her eyes.
