Luna was on an evening walk when she saw someone running towards her. "Derek? Hey, calm down. Breathe" she reassured him. "I'm sorry, I'm just running away from the Argents" Derek said and explained what had happened. "That's crazy" Luna replied.

"Luna...do you have plans tonight?" Derek asked shyly. Luna giggled and said, "Derek, it's already night."

Derek shook his head. "I'm sorry. I mean tomorrow night. Do you have plans tomorrow night?" he tried again. "No, why?" she asked him, smiling. "I want to surprise you" he replied, smiling. "Okay."

"Wait. Is DeLu going on their first date?!" Zoe asked excitedly. "Yeeeees, DeLu going on their first date!" the girls shouted excitedly.

The next morning, Luna got ready for school.

"You really don't remember anything?" Allison asked Lydia when the four girls arrived at school. "They called it a 'fugue state,' which is basically a way of saying, 'We have no idea why you can't remember running through the woods naked for two days'" Lydia said.

"...Maybe it's the nine pounds?" Zoe said to Lydia, who nodded and Lydia left the three alone.

Luna shrugged and turned a corner when she suddenly ran into someone.

"Oh, I'm sorry" Luna said quickly to the colliding body that had dropped its things.

"I wasn't paying attention where I was going" Luna apologized as she bent down to help the boy pick up his things.

"It's okay. Don't worry" a familiar voice replied. Luna looked up and recognized Matt, who was smiling at her.

Luna smiled at him and they both stood up. "Here are your things, Matt, and again, sorry" Luna said as she handed him the things. When their hands touched, a small shock went through Luna, making her gasp.

"What just happened?" Stiles asked. "An electric shock?" Scott asked. "That must be it. A normal electric shock" Luna muttered to herself, but she didn't really believe it.

"I have to go" said Luna and walked quickly.

After school, the girls met outside. "Okay, so you and Derek are going on a date" Lydia said. "It's not a date. He just said he had a surprise for me. That's all" Luna explained. "But you want it to be a date" Zoe said, grinning. Luna sighed and whispered, "Yes."

"So it's shopping time!" Lydia exclaimed excitedly. "You're going shopping?" Danny asked as he approached the girls. "Yes, Luna has a date" Allison replied with a grin. "Miguel asked you out?" Danny asked with a smile as the three girls looked at each other in confusion, wondering who Miguel was.

"Well..." Luna began. "Okay, I'll come with you" Danny said, smiling.

"Uhhh! Shopping with Danny!" Zoe exclaimed excitedly.

Luna was about to say something, but was pulled by the girls and Danny to the first boutique.

"You sit down here and we'll get you a dress each" said Lydia, putting Luna on a chair in front of a cabine.

After a while, the four of them came with a dress each and showed it to Luna. "Now you have to choose which one you want to wear tonight" Zoe explained with a smile. Luna looked at all the dresses. "I'll take this one" Luna said and pointed to Danny's dress, who was grinning triumphantly.

Luna went to pay, said goodbye to Danny and headed home with the girls to get ready.

It was evening and the girls helped Luna get ready. Lydia did her simple makeup while Zoe and Allison curled her hair.

The doorbell rang and Luna started to head downstairs when she heard her father. "Ah, Derek. Perfect timing. Come on in" Sirius said as he let Derek in. Derek looked at the stairs and noticed Luna, which left him speechless. "Wow" he could only whisper as Luna smiled. "Wow to you too" Luna replied, scanning the young man in front of her.

Derek cleared his throat. "This one is for you" he said and handed her a rose. Luna smiled. "Thank you. This is my favorite rose...I mean, roses are my favorite flowers" Luna stammered, embarrassed. Derek smiled at her.

"Now, Derek, since I've given you permission to take my daughter out, I trust you to bring my little girl home safely after the date" Sirius said, smiling. They both looked at Sirius and said at the same time, "It's not a date."

"Mhm, of course" Sirius said simply. Marie came around the corner and smiled at both of them. "I'll put the rose in a vase" Marie said as she took the flower from Luna. "Have fun you two" she added.

"Yeah, but not too much fun" Sirius said quickly, while Luna rolled her eyes and Derek grinned to himself.

The two walked to Derek's car. "Since it's a surprise, you have to wear this blindfold" Derek said, tying a blindfold around her eyes before helping her get into the car. "You're not going to kidnap me, are you?" Luna asked amusedly, while Derek just laughed in response and drove to the location of the surprise.

"You didn't answer the question. Oh my God, he's going to kidnap her!" Zoe shouted as the others laughed.

Derek parked at the edge of the woods and helped Luna out of the car. He lifted her up bridal style while she put her arms around his neck. "How far is it?" Luna asked impatiently. "Hey, you're not the one who has to walk, so relax" Derek replied amused.

Derek walked a little deeper into the forest with Luna in his arms and stopped. He put Luna down, stepped behind her and whispered, "Now we're here."

Derek removed Luna's blindfold and stepped aside so she could take in the surroundings.

Derek went to the music box and played a slow song while he walked back to Luna. "Well then, may I have this dance?" Derek asked her, holding out his hand. Luna smiled. "I'd love to" she said, putting her hand on his. They swayed back and forth to the music.

Luna laid her head on Derek's chest, where his heart was, and enjoyed being close to him.

"Luna?" Derek asked. Luna just grumbled in response while Derek giggled. "Did you fall asleep?" he asked amused. "Is it my fault that I feel comfortable and safe in your arms?" Luna whispered groggily as she lifted her head from his chest and looked at him.

"I need to talk to you about something important" Derek said seriously, wanting to tell her how he felt about her.

"Aww. He's going to tell her that he loves her!" Zoe screamed. "Lydia, for the next section we need 'Confession of Love' because it looks like my favorite cousin is going to tell her he loves her!" Zoe added excitedly. Lydia giggled and wrote a new section on her notebook titled 'Confession of Love'. "Okay, I got it" Lydia said, showing her the notebook. The two of them high-fived each other as they leaned in and listened to what he was going to say.

"Okay, go ahead" Luna said, smiling. Derek was about to say something when Luna's phone interrupted him.

"Noooo!!!" the girls shouted. "Who dares to ruin the moment?!" they asked angrily.

"I'm sorry" she apologized and answered without looking to see who was on the line. "Hello?"

"Hey, Luna, sorry to interrupt your 'non-date', but please tell Derek to take you home. I need to talk to you both" Sirius said on the other end of the line.

Lydia and Zoe looked angrily at Sirius as he screamed in fear, swallowed and hid behind Marie.

"Okay, Dad" Luna replied with a sigh and hung up. "Dad said we should come home. He needs to talk to us" Luna explained.

Derek sighed and nodded as they headed home.

Derek cleared his throat. "Sirius, could you please leave us alone for a minute? I need to talk to your daughter" he asked Sirius. "Sure, hey, just pretend I'm not here" Sirius said, moving away from them.

Derek moved closer to Luna and took her hands while Luna smiled at him. "Look, I've been trying this all evening" Derek started, but stopped when they both noticed Sirius standing closer to them. He looked at Derek and Luna with a grin.

They both looked at him. Sirius cleared his throat, apologized, and withdrew.

Derek tried again, but both noticed that Sirius had now turned into Padfoot. Luna sighed and called out, "Nina, Padfoot is outside and wants to play with you!"

Nina heard it from inside and ran out to chase after Padfoot, laughing. But she soon lost interest and watched the couple with Padfoot, who had not yet noticed them.

"It was a really nice evening, Derek, thank you" Luna said with a smile. "Thank you for saying yes. If you want, we could do it again sometime" Derek added with a smile. "I'd be happy to."

Derek caressed her cheek and looked from her eyes to her lips, which Luna did as well. They both approached and were about to kiss when they were interrupted by a squeak from Nina. They looked at her. "Sorry" she said embarrassed.

"Nina, how could you ruin this beautiful moment!" Nina shouted at herself on the screen, angrily throwing popcorn at it while sulking.

Derek sighed and smiled. "I guess it's the best if I go" Derek said, kissing Luna on the cheek as she smiled at him and watched him drive away.

Luna sighed and looked at Nina and Padfoot. "Okay, kids, off to bed" she said and went in with them.

Marie knocked on Luna's door and went in. "Hey, sweetheart" Marie said with a smile and placed the vase with the rose on Luna's windowsill before sitting down on the bed next to her. "Hey, Mom."

"So, Derek and you?" Marie asked with a grin and wanted to know how the date went and if they were finally together. Luna smiled to herself. "It's only been one date. It's not even serious" Luna replied with a smile and brushed a strand of hair to the side.

"I know my daughter. Anyone who makes you smile like that must be someone special. And I know how much you care for Derek, because he cares for you too" Marie said, stroking Luna's hair lovingly to the side.

Luna looked at the screen and then down and had to agree with her mother on the screen. Derek looked down from the screen and agreed with Marie on the screen.

Zoe, Lydia and Allison looked at the two. "Do you think there's any hope that they'll reconcile?" Allison asked them quietly. "I say they'll be reconciled by the next episode" Lydia whispered, and Zoe agreed.

"Now rest. I love you" Marie said to her daughter and kissed her forehead. "I love you too, Mom" Luna replied with a smile and watched her leave the room smiling.

"Now that's the cue for us to go to our rooms and go to sleep as well" said Albus, and everyone obeyed and went to their respective rooms.
