GUYS I DDINT CHANGE THIS CHAPTER AT ALL

ELLIE BARNES cringed every time she thought about how she hugged her father. She was scared and she would be lying if she said she didn't like it. Comfort has been something shes craved since she was a little kid and now she partly has it and won't accept it.

She sat in her room she thought about Bucky probably compensating his decisions. She felt bad for yelling at him but not bad enough to apologize.

Alone in her room, Ellie's mind wandered to the darkest corners of her past, the memories she had fought so hard to bury rising up like ghosts from the depths of her subconscious. She remembered the mission, the orders whispered in her ear like poison, compelling her to commit unspeakable acts in the name of HYDRA.

She remembered the target, a faceless enemy of the state, a pawn in a game of power and control. She remembered the gun in her hand, cold and deadly, its weight a constant reminder of the blood that stained her soul. And then, in a moment of horrifying clarity, she remembered pulling the trigger, the deafening roar of the gunshot echoing in her ears as she watched the life drain from her victim's eyes.

She's a killer.

And suddenly, she couldn't breathe, couldn't think, couldn't see past the suffocating fog of her own guilt and shame. Her heart raced in her chest, a frantic drumbeat of terror that threatened to drown out all other sound, all other thought.

She gasped for air, her lungs burning with the effort as she struggled to regain control of her shattered nerves. But it was no use; the memories held her in their vice-like grip, refusing to let go of their hold on her fragile mind.

Tears streamed down her cheeks as she relived the horror of that moment, the weight of her actions crushing her beneath their unbearable burden. She felt sick to her stomach, the taste of bile rising in the back of her throat as she fought to suppress the overwhelming urge to scream.

But there was no one there to hear her, no one there to offer comfort or solace in her darkest hour. She was alone, trapped in a prison of her own making, haunted by the ghosts of her past.

As Bucky entered Ellie's room, his steps faltered at the sight that greeted him. There she was, huddled on the floor, her hands trembling as tears streamed down her cheeks, her face contorted in anguish as she relived some unspeakable horror from her past.

His heart clenched in his chest, a wave of fear washing over him as he rushed to her side, dropping to his knees beside her. "Ellie," he breathed, his voice laced with concern as he reached out to touch her trembling shoulder.

Startled, Ellie flinched away from his touch, her eyes wide with panic as she registered his presence. "No," she whispered hoarsely, her voice barely above a whisper as she scrambled backward, putting as much distance between them as possible.

Bucky's brow furrowed with worry, but he didn't back down. "Ellie, please," he implored, his voice gentle but firm. "Let me help you. You don't have
to-I don't want you to go through this alone."

But Ellie shook her head defiantly, her breath coming in ragged gasps as she fought to keep her emotions in check. "I don't need your help," she insisted, her voice trembling with a mixture of fear and anger. "Leave me alone."

Bucky's heart ached at the sight of her pain, but he refused to give up on her. "Ellie, you don't have to be strong all the time," he said softly, his eyes pleading with her to let him in. "Ellie, please. I have you, you're okay."

For a moment, Ellie wavered, her resolve faltering in the face of his unwavering compassion. But then, with a defiant shake of her head, she pushed him away again, her walls firmly in place. "I said no," she whispered, her voice barely audible as she turned her back on him, her shoulders hunched in defeat.

Bucky's heart sank at the sight of her retreating form, but he refused to give up hope. Slowly, cautiously, he reached out to her again, his hand hovering just inches from her trembling form. "Ellie," he said softly, his voice filled with a quiet determination. "I'm not going anywhere. Whenever you're ready, I'll be here." And in that moment.

"Please, Ellie," he pleaded, his voice cracking with emotion. "Let me help you."

There was silence, Bucky didn't dare hug her or even touch her, he stared at her, and watched her head rise and he glare looking at him. Her eyes were teary and empty. Then he heard words leave her mouth...

"I killed him..." The confession slipped from her lips like a dark, damning secret, each syllable carrying the weight of a thousand regrets.

Bucky's breath caught in his throat, his heart pounding in his chest as he processed her words. He felt as if the ground had been ripped out from beneath him, leaving him suspended in a void of disbelief and horror.

She was just like him

His mind raced, grasping desperately for some semblance of understanding, but all he could see was Ellie's anguished face, her eyes haunted by the memories of the life she had been forced to take.

He wanted to reach out to her, to offer her some measure of comfort in her time of need, but his limbs felt heavy and unresponsive, as if frozen in place by the sheer weight of his own shock and disbelief.

His little baby...

All he could do was stare at her, his heart breaking anew with each passing moment, as the full extent of her trauma unfolded before him like a nightmare from which there could be no escape.

Bucky's mind reeled, struggling to comprehend the magnitude of Ellie's confession. He knew he needed to say something, anything, to offer her some semblance of reassurance in the midst of her turmoil.

"It's okay," he whispered, his voice barely audible above the tumultuous storm of emotions raging within him.

But Ellie recoiled at his words, her eyes flashing with a mixture of defiance and despair. "No! It's not okay!" she exclaimed, her voice cracking with raw emotion as tears continued to stream down her cheeks.

Bucky's heart clenched at the anguish in her voice, the weight of her pain pressing down on him like a leaden weight. He wanted to reach out to her, to hold her close and promise her that everything would be alright, but he knew that no amount of empty platitudes could erase the horrors she had endured.

"I know," he said softly, his voice filled with a quiet desperation. "I know it's not okay. I'm so sorry, Ellie. I'm so sorry you had to go through this."

But Ellie shook her head, her whole body trembling with the force of her emotions. "You don't understand," she whispered hoarsely, her voice barely above a whisper. "You can't possibly understand what it's like to live with this...this darkness inside of you, im a fucking monster, dad."

Bucky's heart broke at the despair in her voice, the weight of her words like a knife twisting in his
chest. "You're not a monster..."

"And I do understand," he said softly, his voice tinged with a sorrowful resonance as he reached out to gently touch Ellie's trembling hand. "I was once with HYDRA too. I had to...I had to do things that I'm not proud of."

Ellie's eyes widened in surprise, a flicker of recognition flashing across her tear-streaked face. For a moment, the silence hung heavy between them, the weight of their shared pain binding them together in a shared moment of understanding.

"But..." Ellie's voice trailed off, her gaze searching his face for some semblance of solace amidst the turmoil of her own emotions.

Bucky nodded solemnly, his eyes filled with a quiet empathy. "I know," he said softly, his voice barely above a whisper. "I know what it's like to carry that darkness inside of you, to feel like there's no escape from the things you've done..."

"...to feel like you're a monster."

For a moment, they simply sat together in the quiet darkness of Ellie's room, their shared pain a silent testament to the bond that united them. And as Bucky looked into Ellie's tear-filled eyes, he reached out again, this time she didn't pull back so Bucky full on hugged her.

As Ellie nestled into Bucky's embrace, she felt the warmth of his body enveloping her like a protective shield. His arms wrapped around her gently yet firmly, pulling her close as if to anchor her to the present moment. "I'm here," Bucky whispered, his voice a soft murmur against her ear, "I've got you."

Bucky's hand gently cradled the back of her head, his fingers tangling in her hair as he pressed her closer. His other arm encircled her waist, drawing her in until there was no space between them, their bodies molded together in a tender embrace.

Ellie's breath hitched at his words, a knot forming in her throat as tears welled up in her eyes. "I'm scared," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.

Bucky tightened his embrace, holding her close as if to shield her from the world's pain. "I know," he murmured softly, his voice filled with quiet reassurance, "but you're not alone. I won't let anything happen to you."

Ellie buried her face deeper into the crook of his neck, seeking comfort in the warmth of his embrace. "I don't know what to do," she confessed, her voice trembling with emotion.

Bucky pressed a gentle kiss to her temple, his lips brushing against her skin with a feather-light touch. "Just breathe," he whispered, his voice a soothing melody in the darkness, "we'll figure it out together. I promise."
