Jungkooks POV
I went to the Gym later that night and worked out till 12:00am.
I walked up the stairs then into my bedroom and lied down breathing heavily.
My routine daily is waking up, eating, lessons, eating, some alone time then working out then dinner and bed.
My life is so boring and lonely and my only friend is Minjung, my maid.
I long to see the outside world. Not just on the TV too. With my own eyes. I long for the fresh air on my face and to be surrounded my vehicles driving whatever way not even recognizing me.
I long for a life beyond the wall to see what it's like to be normal. To have normal schooling, to love, and laugh and make friendships. I wonder around people do I sound snobby because I expect everything to be done by other people and I wonder how do you communicate with other people.
I truly wish I was more independent, Like someday I'm going to learn to cook, just because it would be fun. Because within the castle's walls all I learn is skills and lessons to do with the outside world and not skills normal people have because everyone does things like cooking and washing for me.
But as soon as I become known to the public as a prince my alone time and freedom is over, so I need to be among the people soon before I loose the chance to ever be seen as a normal person.
8:00am
I woke up and ate my breakfast that Minjung brought me then put on some black shorts and a yellow hoodie which had donuts on it and headed down the stairs and out to the court yard where fancy cars and limos would pull up at the palace upon arrival.
I started to work out and I examined the guards at the palace. They walked back and forth along the top of the wall and guarded around the door.
If I want to get out and lay low and see what life is like beyond the wall I need to leave the wall at night.
I ran around courtyard for an hour soaking up everyone's routines and actions then I ran around the top of the wall.
When I got to the side closets to my bedroom I looked over the wall and looked how high the wall was to the ground.
Is a manageable distance.
"Hi Han-gyeol. How's patrolling the wall?" I asked one of the soldiers closest to my bedroom.
Han-gyeol is very young. Around 19. He's a kind but shy boy. I think it's because of my status we don't talk often.
"Sir" He said bowing and I smiled back. "It's going well, there are no issues beyond the wall, just protecting you and making sure you are safe sir" he said bowing again at the end.
"Ah and do you do night patrols?" I asked trying not to sound to curious.
"Yes sir, Your safety is top priority. I do hours from around 8 till 12pm and then come back and am on the wall guarding duty from 9pm till around 4am sir" he said with a smile.
"That's good" I said smiling back. "And how many guards are there at night when your on patrol?" I asked.
"Only 2 of us sir, however we are allowed warning sirens in case we require more protection for you and the palace" Han-gyeol said.
"Seem's like the walls are in safe hands with you in charge" I said patting Han-gyeol on the shoulder.
He beamed at me.
"Anyways I am on my break now" Han-gyeol said looking at his watch attached to his blue and gold uniform.
I nodded. "Have a good rest of your day Han-gyeol"
He bowed. "You too sire"
Oh I surely will...
