Cawpter 7 - The Arena
After about 7 minutes, we finally arrived at the pit. I don't understand dragons who like watching other dragons fight, I decided. How is it enjoyable watching another dragon kill someone? There was a fight going on while the guard and I were walking up to the viewers box.
It was between a Saturn Dragon and a Healing Dragon. Shady's a Healing Dragon, and I know he hates even the idea of hurting someone, Healing Dragons weren't made that way. Then a realization hit me. If we don't escape, that could very well be me and Shady fighting down there. We had to escape. We had to. A furious roar erupted from the pit viewing areas. The Saturn Dragon had just tripped over, and the Healing Dragon helped them up. Yet again, I thought about how crazy dragons who enjoyed watching fighting were.
"Alright, I leave you here," said my guard. He looked around quickly. "I'm sorry if your friend dies," he added in a whisper, then walked away. I was left in front of a door, which I assumed was to the viewing room. I opened it.
"Fishy!" said Shady. "Do you know what's happening?" he asked.
"They're making Fraud fight in there against someone," I said, pointing towards the pit.
"My dear companions, I do believe Fraud is quite doomed," announced Hoax, tears rolling down his snout.
"I think so," I said, telling myself not to start crying.
"For once, I think we all agree," said Sham, looking down. His golden scales radiated with heat, signaling he was angry.
"They're starting!" said Enigma. Fraud was walking into the arena. Well, not exactly walking, more like slowly trudging in.
"Let's see his opponent then," said Shifty angrily. Queen Turquoise was standing on a large platform that was floating above the arena/pit. Almost as soon as Shifty closed his mouth, she started speaking.
