Chapter 3

I woke up, but I wasn't where I fell asleep. I looked around there was a rocking motion, and I felt sea sick.

A boat. I'm on a boat?

I was not like any cabin of a ship like I've ever seen. The wooden beams were leaking water so much that I felt the salty spray of the ocean from the inside. I couldn't feel myself walking as I checked the door. It was unlocked, but it was being blocked. Then I realized I was being held prisoner.

The door opened, a girl about my brother's age with dark skin and teal hair came through the door. She was wearing a pirate ensemble that looked far more expensive than the dull servant dress I was wearing. They were as brown as the wooden planks that holds the ship together. My hair was wavy and dirty, held with a cream colored kerchief that was the same color as the apron on my dress. What I was wearing reminded me of Cinderella.

"Back to the bench!" barked the girl, "We don't need more of you wenches to be not of use to us."

Wait a minute, there's more of us here. My stomach churned, thinking of others who were trapped here in other cells or quarters or whatever. Where were my parents, my brother, my friends, Harry?

"Where are my friends and family?" I asked.

"That is none of your concern," the girl shot back.

I fired back with more anger surging through my veins, "but it is. I need to know."

"Fine, they're in the same condition as you, confined to a cabin until further notice. Now go back to the bench, or no dinner tonight!"

"Sorry," I mumbled, not remembering opening my mouth to say anything as I walked to the wooden bench, "I'm sorry, I don't remember your name."

"Foolish girl, you're to call me Captain!"

"But what is your real name?" I inquired.

Captain's face softened for a moment. I couldn't feel myself smile back. Then her face turned to stone.

She sneered, "I'm Uma daughter of Ursula."

Then all was black.

I woke up for real in cold sweat. Harry rushed to my bedside. He caressed my hand until my breathing became even again.

"It is okay," he comforted, "It was only a dream."

But it felt so real. As if it is going to happen one day. Why is this happening to me?

My questions were silenced as a glanced into Harry's eyes. I'll let him know what happened.

"What happened in your dream?" He asked as I nodded for him to go on.

"I was on a boat, held prisoner, and a girl named Uma with teal hair and dark skin, she called me a wench."

"Oh no," Harry gulped, "you're having dreams about her too?"

"What-"

"Ever since I left the pirates, I had nightmares about Uma keeping hostage. She would ask me questions, but the only one I remember is 'Do you want to see her alive again?'"

"I think this will be in the future," I thought aloud.

"Anyway we need to get out of here."

I realized everyone was gone. There was a guard leading my mother up the ladder by the trap door. Harry and I followed. The sight of what we saw next I didn't expect. The curtains were torn from the windows, shards of glass and treasure littering the floor. People were already sweeping up glass shards, tearing down curtains, and salvaging treasure back to where we hide the riches from our enemies.

The next this I saw made my mouth drop to the floor. Everyone was gaping at this horrid sight. Even though the clean up crew was washing it away, I could still tell what it was. Graffiti on the walls with Ursula's silhouette in teal, purple, and black spray paint. On the silhouette it screamed to all who gazed upon it, "Long Live Evil."

"Long Live Evil," used to be Mal's tag on her graffiti. Before she chose good, Mal would tag the crumbling walls of the Isle of the Lost, her locker at Auradon Prep, and even Audrey's desk in her dorm room (don't ask) with her mother's silhouette in green, purple, and black spray paint.

I thought my dream and the attack were connected, and it had something to do with Uma. She was the daughter of Ursula after all.

"It's worse than I thought," my mother mumbled.

My body grew numb. I was about to pass out in fear, when Harry wrapped his arm around the small of my back, to support me.

I was about to speak when my father suddenly stated, "We need Bella to meet Gil now."

Dread filled my whole body when he said that, but I feel now will be the best time to try to fix what the barrier to the Isle of the Lost broke.

Hey guys! Sorry it's been so long. I've been really busy with school, show choir, triple trio, solo & ensemble, talent show, and another story written by Hamilton Music and me. It's called "The Life In Between the Squad," so be on the lookout for that. See you soon. Bye! ☮❤️🤗
