Chapter 4

Living alone

I did what I had to do. Umalis ako ng North Peeliana for not being play safe through the war between the two kingdoms, I just want myself gone dahil hanggat nandoon ako, hindi rin naman matitigil ang lahat. No one knows when they will end, kung umalis man ako o hindi. They were Hampton's and threat to destroy our Kingdom.

I sailed back to Halliway, dahil hindi naman ako sanay na maglayag ay pinakiusapan ko ang mga pahinante doon sa pier. Una ay hindi pa sila pumayag dahil walang King's order pero ginamitan ko naman sila ng princess order kaya hindi naman sila naka-angal pero hindi na rin ako magugulat kung puntahan nila ako doon.

"How are you, Damon?" I smiled, the engraved of his name on the tomb makes my eyes like river flows. "I know you're in good hands now, sorry for not visiting you these past few months dahil nag-stay na ako sa North Peeliana. Sorry for leaving you dying that time, you shouldn't be there, at the ground. You should be happy to see me crowned as the Princess of North Peeliana but I can't make myself whole that you were not part of it." I wipe my tears and chuckles, "sorry kung nagdrama ako, kung kailan pa ako bumisita 'no?"

I just stared at this tomb; the wind touches my skin and blows my hair.

"I just miss you, Damon. You were there most of the time when I need someone then I'm not there when you need a help." I sobbed.

Hindi ko lang talaga mawala sa isipin ko 'yong pangyayaring 'yon. Damon should live his life until now, fulfilling his dream to be the greatest cop Halliway have. We had made promises, but it only lasts nothing. But I'll make to Damon that I will make everything to get that promises achieve. That's the only thing he left on me.

Dreams and promises.

"Avery." My head held up and turn back when I heard my name.

"Maisie..." almost a whisper. "Leonard."

But I look away into their eyes and I passed the two of them.

"Avery, what do you think you're doing?" Leonard said pulled my hands back to them.

I shove it off and look at his eyes, "Leonard, what are you doing here?" I said, questioning their existence here.

"We're here to pick you up back to our home." Leonard said.

I shook my head, "no, this is my home, this is where I lived, this is where I grew up to be the woman I am now." I said.

"The why did you have leave North Peeliana? We did understand you live here for about half of your life pero nag-aalala rin kami, you are our family. Pinag-alala mo kami sa ginawa mo." Maisie said.

I look at them, "I leaved North Peeliana because I just want my family to be safe, when I came back there, Jestwick came back with his revenge. At ano nang gagawin ko? Babalik ako doon para ano? Magsimula muli ng kaguluhan. That's not what I want, that's not what I live, hindi na ako babalik doon... even if you want me to."

"We are safe when you are with us, then when you leave without reasons. You make us panic. You know, Avery..." she narrowed her eyes on me. "This is not the girl I used to know back when I was on Amea, that Jayne girl with spirit of not giving up. That should be the Avery you stood today pero nasaan na? You leaved North Peeliana at the same time, you lost chance to conquer the war we had."

"Avery," I shift my gaze to Leonard. "We won't force you to come with us, if you want this, we will give you want you want but we're still hoping to see you step again in our kingdom, our home." He smiled, "we love you, you know that."

I just stood there, no words to be said.

Maisie came close to me and hugged me, "the last thing you should you know, I will never stop being your sister."

"As I am." Leonard said, smiling. Lumapit din siya sa akin at niyakap ako. "See you soon, Williams." He patted my shoulder.

Sa unti nilang paglayo sa akin, muling humarap sa akin si Maisie. "Henric goes back to Amea, Avery."

I gasped of what she said.

Then they were gone in my sight. Niyakap ko na lamang ang sarili ko and tears went down through my eyes. Hinayaan nila ako sa gusto kong gagawin ko.

I will be back at North Peeliana but not now.

I will try to find myself, living alone. I once became a commoner that became a Princess, and I can live again being a commoner here in Halliway.

I'm so sorry for the Williams, I just can't take that I'm the reason why there is messed in between the two kingdoms. Having my own self, killing old memories.
