SHINO
One of my night bugs notifies me of someone's presence. I open an eye and see Sasuke wide awake, sitting up and staring at the night sky. What's up with him? I can see his chest rising and falling, like he's hyperventilating. Soon though, he lies back down. He's been acting strange lately, we had better keep a watch over him. After all, he nearly chose to go with Orochimaru, he still cannot be trusted. I allow myself to fall asleep, but leave my bugs to fly free just in case.

NARUTO
I'm the last one to get up the next morning. I open my eyes to see Sasuke peering at me with his sneaky little eyes.
"Wakey wakey sleepyhead!" He smacks me on the face.
"SASUKE?! What the hell was that for?" My cheek hurts and I can feel it going red from the amount of contact.
"Well, someone had to wake you up, otherwise you would have been left here to be eaten by the huge forest snakes", he crosses his arms like he owns the place.
"Sn......snakes?!", I jump up in fright and grab my clothes. I whip them on in frenzy.
"Naruto, he's just stirring you up, I'm pretty sure there's no snakes around here", TenTen joins our quarrel, waving her hand to dismiss Sasuke.
"Why you!" I reach out to grab Sasuke. I'm gonna crush him for his cocky attitude.

Shikamaru whisks between us. He stops my hand and holds it away from Sasuke.
"We need to leave NOW, so stop this nonsense. We are hoping to reach the Sand Village by sunset so get MOVING NARUTO!"
"Argh, it's Saskue's fault not mine", I sigh, why does Sasuke never get in trouble? It's always me.
"Last time I checked, he wasn't the one snoring until dawn! Okay everyone, let's head out now! Make sure to clear up any signs of our presence". Shikamaru makes a good team leader, despite his doubts.

SHIKAMARU
Those two are such a drag. Do they seriously have to argue on every mission we go on? I do agree with Naruto though, Sasuke is such a brat sometimes, it gets on my nerves. I don't understand what all the girls see in him. He's not even that good looking in my opinion. The smirk he wears every day ruins his composure. I take a quick look at him. He looks so scary when he's thinking, does he always look like that? I push off the branch after Naruto, they'd better not cause any other trouble on this mission.

We have passed the border between the the Land of Fire and the Land of Wind now. Since we are in a different territory, we need to keep a look out for enemies. Not to worry, we have two Byukugans with us. I can count on them, as well as everyone else. Well, Naruto has me sceptical. I watch his bright yellow hair flow with the wind in front of me. Sometimes, I wonder how this guy has so much optimism, considering he has the Nine-Tails within him. I don't know how someone could bear it, with so much hate literally poured on top of you like burning hot lava. Yet, he's the bravest and happiest of all us ninja. I shake my head, that's Naruto for you, always helping us realise how lucky we are. All of a sudden, Naruto stops.

I plant my feet on next to his.
"What's going on?" The others have stopped too - Sasuke, Lee and Hinata.
"Hinata has detected something!" Lee announces. The others bunch up behind us.
"Everything okay?" As Kiba says this, Akamaru barks.
"Looks like Akamaru has sensed it too", Hinata utters.
"Noticed what exactly?" Sasuke is impatient, typical.
"There's a very large hole in the sand about 500 meters ahead, it looks strange and I think we should keep clear of it. We need to report it to the Sand Village", Hinata warns.
"Yes I agree", Neji steps forward.
"Well, we have to change our course then, we'll head this way around to get to the Sand Village", I point to the southeast. It may take a little longer to get there, but we will arrive by dusk.

"Isn't this the kind of stuff we are supposed to be looking for? If it has anything to do with our mission, we have to check it out!" Naruto speeds off into its direction, that is, of what we are trying to avoid.
"HEY! Naruto come back! Were you not listening to a word Hinata said?!", I shout out, but he's already too far away to hear or he's just ignoring me.

"Oh please, will someone go after him? We don't have time for this", I sigh.
"I volunteer! I will go after Naruto." Lee thumps his chest.
"I'll go too, I'll give Naruto a talking to", Sakura adds.
"Well might as well let all of Team 7 go, you can go too Sasuke. Just meet us at the Sand Village, we shouldn't be too far from it now."
"Why do I have to go?!" Sasuke protests.
"You and Naruto are besties right? I think he'll be happy for you to come along", I'm getting tired of this.
"Yes, I think you and Naruto make a good pair. It would seem that you have taking a liking him for deep in your heart you-" Shino is cut off by Sasuke.
"SHUT UP Shino, we get it already", Saskue is gone in a flash, he's fast.
"Well, we will be seeing you soon", Sakura smiles and joins Lee.
"Just stop Naruto from recklessly running off during our mission. You'd better go now so you don't lose him", I wish them well and they depart.

I watch them rush off into the depths of the desert, sand swirling behind them. They'd better get Naruto back. We continue on our course, Shino, Hinata, Neji, Kiba and TenTen and I. This is such a drag, I hope the Hokage doesn't find out about this.
