Return to School...

So...you went to the police station. You were in for questioning. But it's wasn't about you attacking the pros like you thought. Apparently, Aizawa and Miruko reported about your injury and potential drug injection. The police asked you to come in so they can examine it. They did indeed found some traces of...something, but they couldn't figure it out, then again, you can't figure out how you got that mask on your face either.

Now came the hard part.

Although you eventually went home, you ignored all the calls from your mom, dad, and...Kasumi. You walked into the classroom as everyone looked at you. It seemed you were the last one.

You kept your head down and walked to your seat. There were little murmurs going around but you ignored them. You honestly felt sick having to be in the classroom. Even Akechi couldn't look you in the eye. But, footsteps got louder and louder until you had a shadow loom over you. You turn to face the figure. "Can I...help you?"

"Why are you acting all formal?" Kirishima said to you with a smile. "Anyway, you were amazing in the festival!"

"H-Huh?" You said in confusion as most of the class nodded and turned towards you.

"Yes, your moves were very precise." Momo said as Izuku nodded.

"Yeah, the way you were using your quirk was nothing I've ever seen before!"

"I bet if you use any of those moves as a hero, you'll definitely win!" Your sister said as Mineta looked at you.

"Doesn't that make you top dog? Seeing as you defeated Akechi so easily." Mineta said as Iida looked at him.

"I'm still the class rep!" Iida shouted from his seat.

"Shut it." Akechi says to Iida as he is shocked. Akechi then turns to Mineta. "I'm curious how easy it is to pop a sour grape. I'm sure nobody would mind."

The class laughed as you feel a tear go down your face. They didn't care about the festival. They didn't want to question you all at once or bring up something uncomfortable. They just accepted it and moved on. You kept thinking how lucky you were...to have friends like this...

You looked over to see Kasumi staring at you. You look away, she must be still mad after you gave up. Soon a paper airplane poked you in eye and you screamed out in pain. "AHHHH!!"

"Y/n!" The class shouted out as Kasumi started sweating. Her aim was your desk...she had terrible aim.

The classroom door opened as everyone sat down and calmed down. Aizawa entered and looked at the class. "Good morning."

"Good morning." The class replied as you were still rolling your head in pain in your  seat.

Aizawa then looked at you. "Ah. It seems like the class joker got his due medicine. Moving on, we have a big class today, our Hero Informatics."

"He's minimizing my suffering." You thought as the rest of class seemed tense.

"You'll need codenames. Time to pick your hero identities." Aizawa continued as  the class shouted in happiness.

"This is gonna be totally awesome!"

"Sigh...This will be related to the pro hero draft picks that I mentioned the last time we were in class together. Normally, students don't have to worry about draft picks yet, not until they're second or third year actually. But your class if different, by extending offers to first years like you, pros are essentially investing in your potential. Any offers can be rescinded if their interest dies down before graduation though."

"So. We're required to prove ourselves after we get recruited..." Akechi said as Aizawa nodded.

"Correct. Now, here are the total for those of you who've got offers."

Shoto Todoroki - 4123
Kasumi Bakugo - 3553
Goro Akechi - 2463
Y/n Uraraka - 1586
Tenya Iida - 301
Momo Yaoyorozu - 108
Eijiro Kirishima - 69
Ochako Uraraka - 20

"In the past we've been more spread out, but there's a pretty big gap this time." Aizawa said. But you remembered when he caught you, he said he was going to pick for you.

"Gah! It's so unfair!" Kaminari groaned out.

"What about the real star? Moi?"

"How did Akechi get higher than Y/n?" Ojiro asked as Mina looked at them.

"I think that most of the people were just afraid-" Mina began to say before she stopped after seeing Kasumi glaring at her with mini explosions in her hands.

"The same goes for Todoroki." Kirishima pointed out.

"Both are the opposite of how they placed in the festival..." Kirishima said. Sero started chuckling.

"Probably weren't excited to work with a girl that had to be chained up at the end." He says as he noticed his arm was glowing with black aura.

"If I scared a pro, they're just weak!" Kasumi said in anger. You just tried to figure out if you were injected with the same thing that the black mask did to his victims.

But that meant you'd fought that person, but...you didn't fight that many people. And pointing fingers at anyone wouldn't help the class focus. You decided to be on guard more than normal.

"The results aren't bad in the slightest." Akechi said as you just looked at him.

"You're only saying that because you got some." You said as Aizawa was keeping an eye on you.

"Despite these results, you'll all be interning with pros. Got it? Even those of you who didn't get offers."

"So, we're all interning?" Izuku asked as he nodded.

"Yes, you already got to experience combat with real villains during the attack at USJ. But it'll still be helpful to see pros at work. Up close and personal, in the field, first hand." Aizawa said as the class got excited.

"And for that we need hero names!" You shouted. Your sister looked at you.

"Things are certainly getting a lot more fun!" Ochako said as Morgana was just lazing around in your desk.

"These hero names will likely be temporary, but take them seriously, or..."

"You'll have hell to pay later!!!" Midnight busted through the door. "What you pick today could be your codename for life! You better be careful, or you'll end up with something utterly indecent!"

"But wouldn't she like that?" Akechi asked as the boys thought about it and nodded their heads in sync.

"Midnight is going to have final approval over your names. It's just not my forte." Aizawa said as he grabbed his sleeping bag. He gave you a glare. You calmed down your nerves to not throw him when he got in.

"The name you give yourself is important. It helps reinforce your image and shows what kind of hero you want to be in the future. A codename tells people exactly what you represent. Take 'All Might' for example." Midnight said as the class started coming up with cool names...expect for I can't stop twinkling. You were stuck and gripping your head. Morgana looked at you from your desk.

"Don't think about it too much. Like Aizawa said, you can change it when it's time." He said as you begin to calm down. You see that it was Akechi's turn to go. When he got up to the front, he made sure you and him made eye contact. He then turned towards the whole class.

"I was having trouble coming up with something fitting for a while, but then I remembered all the things this class has accomplished. It's no wonder why the other classes are jealous but rather to be, it's the spirit of the class that allowed me to come up with a name." Akechi stated as he revealed his codename. "I'm the hero who deceives the expectations people set on me: Loki."

"Oooo~! Very cool!" Midnight said as you finally got a codename. Soon it was your turn to got up and you went to the front.

"First I'd like to say thank you to the class. As you all know, I wasn't quite myself in the festival, that much was obvious. But..." You started to say as Ochako smiles at you. "I looked around in fear, knowing what I was doing and yet, no control. I look around the stadium and saw the fear in people's eyes, people scared...of me..."

Kirishima looked sad as did the class. "But then I saw you all. You weren't looking in fear of me, you were looking in fear because what was happening to me. The fact that you guys knew something was wrong...I think shows a lot of the bond we all have together. How we're able to laugh, cry, and joke around together. I think..that's enough for me."

The class smiled, even Akechi and Aizawa. You took a deep breath and remembered.

"Joker?"

"Yeah, you're the wild card of this class. We never know what you're thinking or planning."

"If I did something that no one else could do, shouldn't I be the king? Man. Aizawa, Morgana, and now Haru. So lame..."

"I think Joker is a pretty cool name for a hero. For someone as cool as you."

A white mask formed on your face and you smiled. The class looked in amazement.

"Seeing as this class has pushed me to become better, it only fitting I acknowledge my role in this class." You says as you take off your mask and put it down next to the white board. "I'm The Wild Card: Joker!"

"It's perfect! Such emotion and passion~!" Midnight approved as you saw the mask disappear and Kirishima crying.

"Are...are you crying?" You asked as you came down from the front. He shook his head at first but then gave up and nodded.

"That...was so...manly." He said as you just laughed and kept on walking. Shoto smiled at you and put out his fist. You fist bumped him and sat down. Morgana popped out of your desk.

"Well, well, well. Looks who finally embraced his role." He says as you just let him.

"Yeah. Took a while. But I finally got it." You says as you see Kasumi stepping up with a confident smile.

"King Explosion Murder..." You and Akechi looked at each other and you both started to chuckle. You both held it in though.

"I'm going to say that's too violent." Midnight denied it.

"Why don't you be 'Explosion Girl'?" Kirishima said as the two of you bursted out laughing!

"No, I'll do you one better! How about Short Fuse!" Akechi said as you kept laughing.

"No, no! You got to be more creative! Like Landmine or Dynamight!" You say laughing as the two of you laughed even louder. Kasumi was not happy in the slightest.

"Hey! Let's take this outside and I'll prove to you that murder should be in the name!!"

(Timeskip brought to you by Y/n and Akechi complaining about Kasumi choosing Rainbow Road)

The bell rang, signaling that class was over. You were about to get up and leave with Kasumi when Aizawa stopped you.

"Can I help you, Aizawa-sensei?" You asked him. He nodded and looked at you in the eye.

"As you know, because of your 'incident' at the sports festival, you'll have a lot of eyes on you. But that's not why I can here to talk to you." He said as he tried to say he was worried about you but...he failed. He went on to his next point. "I've already chosen a hero for you. Be ready for your upcoming internship."

You sighed knowing that nothing could really change his choice. You nodded and he walked away. You got your bag and headed out the class with Kasumi.

Kasumi didn't say much to you, after all, you had been ignoring her text messages and calls. You both walked in silence until you decided to speak up.

"I'm sorry for not answering your texts and-!"

"Are you okay?" She asked you asked you looked confused. She gave you a look again. "Did you hear me? I asked if you were okay?"

"I heard you...I'm just confused what you mean." You said as she stopped walking.

"Are you...going to give up being a hero?" She asked you as you stopped walking as well. "I heard the news from that crazy furry chick. Said that you were injected with something."

You thought about who she was talking about. You only thought of Miruko but, why would she go out of her way to approach Kasumi?

"When you walked into class today, I saw that scared look in your eyes. But, then you stood up to the front, proud of your class. I had no doubt that you were going to be a hero. So I just needed to make sure that you won't fall behind too far...So..." She then turned to face you.

"Are you okay?" You wiped away your forming tears and Kasumi looked in confusion. "Huh?! Are you crying?!"

"N-No! Of course not!" You said as you looked at her with a determined smile. "I'm not giving up my dream. I would be lying if I'm not haunted by what could have happened to you if I didn't snap out of it in time. But I'm still going to be a hero to help others! I'm going to stand side by side with you as we become heroes!"

Kasumi smiled smugly at you and turned around. "That sounded like a proposal."
You began to blush and started stuttering as she kept walking. "Too early for that."

"Too...early?" You asked as she started blushing. You ran up to her. "What did you say?"

"Get out my face, N/n!" She said with a blush. The two of you kept walking as Kasumi asked you something. "Wait, who are you interning with?"

You look at the paper you got from Aizawa. You opened it up to see the pro hero you would be interning with...

You got Miruko...
