You had a quite an exciting week. You found yourself in your apartment with Ochako. You were currently on your knees looking at the news with Ochako.

"This week we had a peculiar sight. If you were lucky enough I catch it you know what I'm talking about. If you couldn't catch the unusual scene, then don't fret. We have pictures showing the peculiar sight." The news reporter said as pictures of you as Joker and Miruko racing and defeating villains. "Yes, you see this correctly. The pro hero, Miruko, has seemingly taken in a sidekick. As Miruko previously had been doing, the two seemingly went all over Japan, dealing with evil."

"The thing that stands out to me is the boy." Another reporter says as it showed a picture of you making the villains stuck in the air. "He seems to hold amazing power.  Dealing with these villains quickly. But that's not all... Just look at this picture."

Another picture popped up. It showed you helping someone with groceries, walking the elderly across the road, safety directing traffic so the little kids can walk across the street. "This kid has shown to be more in tune with the people than many others. Just look at the faces of the people he's helping."

"You're right. They're all smiling."

"Right. They all feel safe with a hero who can focus on the little areas as well as the big ones. Do you think this is a start of a symbol?" The man asked the woman. The woman smiled.

"We already have a symbol of peace, but a symbol of hope... I think even the symbol of peace could use that. In our next segment—"

Ochako started to punch you in the shoulder with a smile. "Look at you! Taking on the villains!"

You push away her face with a smile. "Yeah, yeah. I'm surprised they didn't mention Kamoshida."

"?" Your sister gained a confused look as you just ruffled her hair. "Hey, stop that!"

"You're still my favorite twin, Sis!" You say as she puts her hands on her hips.

"I'm your only twin. Ugh-?! Does that make me your favorite by default?!"

"Don't worry about that, sis. Your my favorite besides Aunty." You say as she crossed her arms with a smile. You looked at the time and got up. You and her walked in the bathroom to brush your teeth.

"Yeah, that's fair." She said as the two of you soon finished. Ochako picked up her bag as you cook. "She is pretty awesome."

"Well, she is a pro hero. I guess Miruko and her are tied." You say as you throw Ochako a breakfast burrito. She catch it without looking it and throws you your bag.

"Don't let Aunty hear that. She'll hunt you down." She says. You catch your bag without looking and slid it on your back as you put on and tie your shoes. You both walk out of the door and you sigh.

"She probably already knows. All I have to wait is for the call." You say as you lock the door. Ochako puts your glasses on your face as you both jump off from the third story of the apartment. You both safely land on the ground due to your quirks.

"Well, good luck. Plus she'll probably tell you to get with Bakugo-chan." Ochako says as you both munch on your respective burritos.

"She'll probably tell you to get with Izuku."

"Eh?!" She says with a blush. You pass by a sign of a hero actress. You stop walking and Ochako slows down to look at the sign. "Oh! That's the famous actress, Ann Takamaki!"

"Huh? Is she really that famous?"

"Of course! She went to U.A as well! It's amazing how she balances her career as a actress and hero!" Ochako fangirls over this Ann girl and you keep walking.

"Maybe you and Izuku should get together after all."

"Bro! Knock it off!"

(Timeskip brought to you by Y/n fearing the waited call from his Aunt)

You were very bored as you were thinking about your week and how you had to go back to normal school.

"Ugh...!"

"Are you okay, Y/n?" Shoto asked you as you looked at him.

"Yeah, I'm just kind of bored." You said but you and Akechi soon had something that snapped you out of your boredom. You immediately laughed as did Akechi as the both of you pointed at the classroom door.

"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Kasumi entered the classroom with her hair in the style of Beat Jeanist. She glared at you.

"Ahahaha! What's up with your hair?!" Kirishima joined you in the laughter. Kasumi was blushing in rage.

"Stop laughing! My hair's got use to this and I can't get it back the right way!" This just caused you all to laugh louder and for Morgana to join in. "Oi! Stop laughing! I'll kill you all!"

"I'd like to see you try, Bomber Girl." You tease as she gave you a death look.

"The fuck you just call me!?" She says with a blush and her hair went back to normal. Mina dashed up up to Jiro.

"Awesome! You got to face actual villains? I'm super jealous!"

"Well, I didn't fight. All I did was help people evacuate and provide logistical support." Jiro said, scratching her cheek.

"But still sounds like so much fun!"

"I basically spent the whole time training and cleaning the ship's deck. But there was this one day we caught a bunch of drug smugglers." Tsu said as you turned towards Akechi.

"I know we met up for that one night at the diner with the pros, but how did your week go?" You asked him as he sighed and held his head.

"That bird brain thought it was a good idea to see who gets their the fastest. Obviously with his speed, we barley got anything to do. Plus... he kept calling me his little crow..." Akechi admitted with a dangerous look on his face and Mina turned towards you.

"Oh yeah! You were all over the news!" She shouted as you looked confused. You knew you were on the news but you didn't think any of your classmates saw. "You and Miruko taking on the giant monster!"

"It's impressive to take on that man. It must not have been an easy accomplishment." Akechi praised you but... the way he said it...

There's this... feeling. You couldn't exactly pinpoint it...

"It was a hard battle. In the end it was Miruko who did the work. All I did was get knocked around a bit before throwing her." You say with your hands in the air. Kirishima bumps your shoulder.

"Don't be so hard on yourself, hero."

"Aren't you?" You asked him as he looks confused until he hit you.

"That was a bad joke." He said with a smile. "But if you want to talk about heroes then it was those three."

Kaminari references Izuku, Shoto, and Iida. You don't really know what happened besides a fire broke out. You must have been to caught up the Kamoshida incident.

"Oh yeah. The hero killer! Glad you guys made it back alive, seriously." Kirishima said as you looked confused. Hero killer? Don't we just call that a villain?

"You were so lucky, Endeavor, showed up and saved you guys."

"So cool! Expected from the number two hero." Hagakure said. Shoto looks at them.

"Yeah. That's right.... he saved us."

"Did you guys hear the news about the Hero Killer?" Ojiro asked the class. They looked at him and he continued. "Everyone has been saying that he was somehow connected with the League of Villains. Can you imagine how frightening it would've been if that creep had been there when they attacked the U.S.J?"

"He must have had help from the Nomu's. There's no way someone like him would have agreed to more than that." Akechi theorized.

"Scary..." Hagakure said while slightly shaking.

"He's scary, yeah. But did you guys see him in that video? It's all over the internet." Kaminari said. Really? Must have been hard to beat him. "Stain is a pretty evil villain, but like super tenacious. He's almost kind of cool, don't you think?"

You immediately slapped him over the head. "Hey, did you forget all the things that he caused." You say referring to Iida. Kaminari then looked at Iida in realization.

"Oh! Dude I'm..."

"No, it's okay. You're fine. It is true he's quite a tenacious villain. I understand why people might think he was cool. But instead of helping the world, his beliefs led him to cold blooded murder. No matter his motives, killing cannot be condoned. To keep anyone from suffering like me, well" Iida struck a marvelous pose. "I promise, I will strive to be the perfect hero!"

"Yeah! Let's do it!" Midoriya jumped up.

"It's time for the class to begin! Everyone pleas take your seats."

You sighed with a smile. It seemed the old Iida was back. You closed your eyes and saw some sort of creature. You couldn't really understand it but you felt a familiar bond.

After being instructed to meet All Might at one of the training facilities. Everyone followed All Might after putting on the costumes.

"I am here!!! Hope you're ready to return to our lessons! Today it's Hero Basic Training. Feels like I haven't seen you in a while! Welcome back and listen carefully for what's in store. We're going to be conducting a little race. Take everything you've learned from your internship and apply to this rescue training."

You think back to your internship. You try to think if you learned anything. You definitely stopped villains. You remembered you learned how to use your anger in bursts but that wouldn't really help for the race.

"If it's rescue training. Shouldn't we be at the U.S. J instead?" Iida questioned. They  probably didn't want to risk any attacks. You wonder how much information the League of Villains dedicated to class 1-A.

"That facility specializes in disasters, as I said earlier, this is race. So prepare! You are about to step in Field Gamma! Inside is an area full of factories and form an intricate labyrinth. So good luck finding your way around. You'll be competing on groups of five. Each person starts from a different location on the outskirts of the model city. I'll send a distress signal, and you do what you must to rescue me. Whoever finds me first wins! But try to keep property damage to minimum, please!" He says pointing to Kasumi.

"Why are you pointing at me?"

"You know why." You tell her as she just glares at you.

The first group is: Izuku, Iida, Ojiro, Sero and Ashido. The rest of the class was sent to spectate the race through a big screen in another area. You smile and mess around with Morgana. He gets mad and tries to scratch you. You lift him in the air but Morgana uses quirk so it made you think you weren't picking up anything.

"Iida hasn't completely recovered yet, right? He should sit this one out." Kaminari said worried as Akechi looked at him.

"I wonder if you're just saying that because of what happened with the two of you before..." Akechi accused Kaminari. Kaminari looked Akechi.

"No! That's not it!"

"Hehe. Don't worry, I was merely teasing." Akechi said as you didn't believe him. Kirishima tried to change the subject.

"Everyone in this group has good mobility."

"I'd say Midoriya is at a heavy disadvantage against those four." Momo added.

"That's what I think. Moving around quickly isn't one of his strong suits." Jiro agreed as you chuckled.

"He might have changed that, seeing as we all did internships." You said to the group and look towards Kirishima. "What about you guys?"

"I'm betting on Sero." Kirishima said as Akechi nodded.

"I believe that will the result."

"Oh yeah? Hmmm... I got Ojiro." Kaminari followed.

"That doesn't even make any sense." You called out Kaminari on his stupid choice.

"I choose Ashido cause' she's got a super athletic body!" Mineta says as you throw him away with your quirk.

"I know Deku will be last!" Kasumi said as you threw her as well.

"Even if he's still recovering, I think Iida's got this one." Ochako says as you cross your arms. Eventually the race started and Sero took the lead. Midoriya surprised everyone by his speed but slipped and let Sero take the win.

"That... threw me off guard to be completely honest..." Even Akechi was a little depressed.

"Man... that really sucks..." Kirishima said also depressed. All Might slid into view.

"Young Sero may have come in first. But compared to the start of the year, you all showed some incredible improvement! Keep working and preparing for the final exams!"

"Yes sir!"

"Group 1, leave the field, group 2, you're up!" All Might commanded as you got excited.

"I'm combat ready!"

"??" A ginger haired girl stopped shooting lasers at a blue eyed boy with a large key for a weapon.

"What's wrong, Penny? You hear Ironwood calling for you?"

"No, it's nothing, Y/n. Let's keep training."

"Yeah, that's fine and all. But you're still not beating me." Kasumi claimed as she walked off. You twitched in anger and flew to the spot.

Group 2: Y/n, Bakugo, Asui, Aoyama, and Mineta.

The students from group two took their positions, and eagerly awaited the signal.

"This group has some great mobility too." Kirishima noticed as Kaminari looked at him.

"This is gonna be a real close one. Who do think is gonna win?"

"I would say Y/n because of his quirk, but I don't know what kind of training Bakugo has gone through." Akechi said as Izuku nodded.

"That's right. I doubt Kacchan would hype N/n up if she didn't train in that region. Both Kacchan and N/n have some incredible mobility. So even if Kacchan does have a plan, it hard to say who will win..."

A man in a uniform and blades sliced through a gaint man's neck and came out on the other side clean due to his speed. He suddenly looked up randomly.

"??"

A naked gaint woman appeared behind him but a man in green sliced the neck of the woman and she fell down. The man in green looked at the teenager.

"Tch. Get ready to clean till you drop, Y/n."

"Huh?! I only looked away for one second, Levi! Oh come on! Give me another chance! Are you trying to kill me by cleaning?!"

You smirked as you flew in the air. You smirk at Kasumi but she's just focused ahead. You wonder what she's thinking about...

"Everyone ready? BEGIN!"

"TAKE THIS!!"

"?!"

A explosion rings in your face and you go sent flying back far. Kasumi blasts forward with a huge explosion as the rest use their quirks to go forward. The class looked in shock as Akechi laughed.

"She used her quirk on him?!"

"Well, it does make sense. Otherwise Y/n would win easily."

You crash into a large metal pipe and use the burst anger technique. Seems like you need it after all. Kasumi smirked.

"I said I was going to let him giving up at the festival go... but I count that as payback." She says as you take off like a bullet. You come neck and neck with Kasumi in a matter of seconds. You both learned from Akechi and stuck your hand out.

"And it's over! Congratulations!"

"Huh?! Who won?!" The class asked as You glared at Kasumi.

"She should be disqualified for attacking me!" You shout as she gets in your face.

"The rules never said anything about that!"

"Well, they should!"

"That ain't my problem, Airhead!"

"You really wanna go, Pomeranian!? Cause we can go!"

As the two of you argued, Akechi walked up to All Might.

"I suggest you keep it a to be determined."

"Yeah... I'll do that..."

The day's training is over and the class returned to their respective locker rooms to change back into their class uniform before heading back.

"Man, I really gotta work on my mobility." Kirishima speaks up, remembering the training. You thought about what his quirk could do in a race... practically nothing.

"You could compensate by improving other skills." Tokoyami suggested as you thought about Hatsume.

"Or you could get some support items to help you out with that." You suggested as Kirishima thought about it.

"Wish I could use my quirk for speed. I'm jealous of guys like you and Sero." Kaminari said as Akechi chuckled.

"At least you don't get random stats. Unfortunately I got hearing which means I had to listen to all of you fail." Akechi said as the boys began to chuckle.

"Hey guys! Check this out!" Mineta says. You all look at him in curiosity. "You won't believe what I just found! The jackpot! Someone shawshanked a hole in this wall! A previous generation has given us a gift! You know what's next door, right? This looks into the girl's locker room!"

"Oh? Then that's not a peeper hole. You can tell by the size. You see it all the time at the club. It looks like a-" You soon stopped what you were going to say as you realized that the cinnamon roll, Izuku, was still locker room. "I mean, you shouldn't do that. It's against the law."

"Don't even think about it! Peeping on them like that would be criminal!" Iida says with his signature hand gesture.

"Then you'll have to throw me in solitary confinement! Cause you can't stop me!" Mineta teared off the sign. "I wanna see Yaoyorozu's curves, Ashido's slender waist, Hagakure's floating underwear..."

You weren't affected at all by what he said. It's his boy hormones, he'll stop before he goes to fa-

"Uraraka's super fine body! Kasumi's massive thighs!" Mineta made a biggest mistake. You held his head against the wall as black aura surrounded one of Jiro's earphone jacks. Suddenly, Mineta's eyeball was pierced by Jiro's earphone jack. You held his head as he screamed in pain. Soon after doing it a few more times, you let him go.

"You pushed your luck today grape." You say with a too friendly smile. Everyone made a mental note not to piss you off.

"Alright. That's it for class today. There's ply one week left before your final exams. I'm sure you're studying constantly, right? Don't forget to keep training, the written exam is only one element. There's also the practical portion to worry about. Good luck." Aizawa stated and he walked out of the class.

"We're barely even taking notes this semester!!" Kaminari (20/20) and Ashido (19/20) shouted. You weren't that concerned about your grades. Your knowledge has been maxed out do to reading a lot growing up.

"It's true that we haven't had much free time lately." Tokoyami (14/20) added.

"You all better suck it up. As future heroes, we have less time so we'll have to mange our lives more carefully." Akechi (4/20) spoke out.

"That would make sense. If they're making work on that sense in our daily lives now...." You (3/20) agreed.

"But we don't have to accept it!" They shouted as Mineta (10/20) got a smug smile.

"As someone ranked in the top ten, I'm not that concerned."

"You got tenth in the midterms?!" Ashido and Kaminari shouted in disbelief.

"Ashido! Kaminari!" Izuku (6/20) spoke out. "We still got time to study! That way we'll all get to training camp together!"

"Yes! As class rep, I have high hopes  that we'll make U.A proud!" Iida (2/20) added. Shoto looked the two.

"It's pretty hard to fail if you just pay attention in class, isn't it?"

"Why you gotta cut me down like that?" Kaminari muttered out as Momo walked over to them.

"Hey, don't worry about it you two, I can catch you up to speed in the important topics if you want."

"You're the best, Yaomomo!" They happily took her offer.

"I'm afraid I won't be any help when it comes to the practical though."

You then thought about where Kasumi was placed in the rankings. After all, for a murder explosion king, she's really smart. You decide to see Maruki during your lunch break. After all, it's been a while since you've seen him.

You walk in the hall and think you see that face in the wall. You turn your head to see there was indeed a face in the wall.

"Hey there!" You immediately grabbed him with your quirk. He was smiling until he shows a face of concern. "Huh, I can't get out of this?"

"L-L-Listen demon! I-I-I'm warning y-you! I'm not a-a-afraid to hurt you!" You say as you push the man backwards and he goes back to wherever he appeared from. You then dash towards Maruki's room and walk in. He looks up at you.

"Ah, Y/n. What a lovely surprise."

"Hey, Doc. Is it okay if I stay here for a bit?" You ask him as he chuckled.

"I don't mind. Please take a seat. Might as well catch up right?" He says as you smile and sit down. "I've been getting a lot of students coming in ever since I first arrived here. To be honest... it's been kind of a relief."

"?"

"That whole mess with the Nomu's is the reason I was called here, after all... They warned me a lot of students had been impacted. I knew there would be a lot of free-floating anxiety. But when I actually got to talk to everyone, I was very surprised."

"Really? Was it that different?" You asked him as he nodded.

"Very. Most of the things on everyone's minds were college entrance exams, relationship problems... in other words, typical worries for high school students. Some did open up about deeper issues, but not the majority." Maruki gained a sad expression. "Some students were still struggling with the scars from the incident, yes... but at the very least, I'm glad the ones who came to me have taken some steps towards recovery."

"Thanks you." You say with a smile. "It's still crazy they didn't have a therapist before you."

Maruki chuckled. "You really won't let that go, will you?"

"Ah. Sorry. I guess I just thought that they would have one." You say as you both laugh.

"You seem pretty happy with your life. I know I'm not the most reliable guy, but remember you can always talk to me too if something's bothering you. I am a counselor, I'm supposed to be good at listening." Maruki jokes around. "Having said that, it's a little awkward that I have to ask for your help but... you remember how I asked you to help me with my research?"

"Yeah I remember something like that. Why, is it time to begin?" You asked as he shook his hands around.

"I said you'll be helping me with my research, but don't worry. It won't be anything too difficult or intensive. I just need you to listen to what I have to say, and work through some questions with me... But maybe I should start at the beginning and tell you what this is for."

You realized you just accepted his deal back then without knowing any information. You wanted to help him anyway so it shouldn't be that big of a deal. "Sure, I am curious about what's got that smile on your face."

"Haha. I guess I can't hide it. What I'm studying now is pain felt in the mind. Or perhaps more fancifully, in the heart. Some specific examples include the pain of someone saying hurtful things to you, or being separated from those you love..." Maruki explained as you crossed your arms.

"So basically pain created by things, like trauma, or stress?"

"Exactly. Bodily, physical pain can be thought of as something necessary. An autonomic response to injury, illness, whatever. But what about pains felt within one's heart?" Maruki questioned. He put his hand of his chin. "That pain isn't born from any tangible problem in our bodies, right? It's something strange and immaterial. I guess it goes to show there are still a lot of mysteries in our own hearts and minds."

"So what do you need my help for?" You ask him.

"This the question. When do you truly feel pain in your heart?" He asked you. You reflect back to all those times you got hit but that's not what he's asking. You remember your life, feeling that you weren't good enough. Becoming a criminal so that you're family could have money and so Ochako could eat lunch. You remember all your arguments with Kasumi and your big one with Ochako.

"I guess... when I feel like... what I'm doing isn't the right choice. I thought I could live my life and be done with it. But it's never that simple..." You say to him as he nods.

"I see... yes, I can sympathize there. Sometimes, reality can throw you in a curveball. It's sometimes easier to give up and walk astray because you can. It can be rough. It doesn't fell to good to struggle with pain in your heart. But with that in mind... how about the pain of a broken heart, then? After all, the kind of pain that's born because we fall in love, right? Sometimes we even wish that the broken heart could change into a healed one quicker than it wants to. Do you have any thoughts on this kind of pain, Y/n?"

For whatever reason... your mind goes blank. You scratch the back of your head. "Well, I think it might be necessary because we need to know how to avoid it. You don't really get that experienced til you felt it."

"True. It proves and validates the love that came before it, after all... A very fitting answer from you." Maruki says as he sits up to look at you. "Internal, emotional pain can be difficult to deal with. Though some say it's always coupled with other feelings... and I agree, of course. I think that's a fair assessment. Though personally speaking... I'd think of pain can be avoided, it should be. Maybe it shouldn't exist at all."

There wasn't anything off about Maruki. But your instincts were telling you that something was up. It was the way he said that last sentence, it felt like he was talking about from experience.

"Wounds of the heart are much harder to detect, and in a way, they're far more complex than physical injures. That's why I'm researching about this... to save people who are suffering from internal pain they keep holding onto. You helped me realize that purpose again. Thank you."

"Did I really help? It doesn't really seem like I did that much..." You say honestly as Maruki smiles at you.

"Of course! Even the little bit of answers can help you know. Thanks to you, I can articulate my thoughts for once." Maruki then stood up and looked at you. "Okay, I think that'll do today. Hm...? Why do I feel like I'm forgetting something...?"

You let out a fake cough with a smirk. Maruki started freaking out. "Oh...! Your mental training!" You crossed your arms and legs with the smirk. You looked at him in the eyes. "Oh, uh, no! I didn't forget about our promise, of course! I'll teach you tricks for mental discipline, and you help me with my research! Just like we decided, right!"

"That seems fair." You laugh and Maruki sat down and helped you. Your mind felt stronger after listening to his techniques. You go to get up but look at him. "Oh, be careful. There's a scary face demon who likes going into the walls."

You leave as Maruki looked confused. He fixed his glasses. "Does he mean Mirio?"

After the week was over, the wages work, the exams... it was finally time for the showdown. Aizawa looked at the class. He had other teachers with him.

"God, I have a bad feeling about this." You whisper as you see.....

MORGANA WITH THE TEACHERS?!

"Now let's begin the last test. Remember, it's possible to fail this final. If you wanna got to camp, then don't make any dumb mistakes." Aizawa said looking at you.

"Why are you looking at me?"

"I expected many of you gathered information, and believe you have some idea of what you'll be facing here today." Aizawa continued. Kaminari smiled.

"We're fighting those big ol' metal robots!"

"Fireworks, s'mores, here we come!" Ashido added with a cheer of her own.

"Actually this year's test... Will be completely different, for various reasons!" Principal Nezu popped out of Aizawa's blinding cloth and spoke.

"Principal Nezu?!"

"You're changing things?!"

"The tests now have a new focus, there will be hero work, of course, but there will also be teamwork and combat between actual people!" Nezu explained. "What does that mean for you? You students will be working together in pairs, and your opponents will be one of our esteemed U.A teachers!"

"We're fighting the teachers?!"

"Additionally, your partners have already been chosen. They were determined at my discretion, based on various questions. First, Yaoyorozu and Todoroki are a team..." Aizawa then grinned sadistically. "Against me... then we have Midoriya paired with Bakugo, and their opponent is..."

A quick gust was felt as someone fell from the sky. The figure looked up from his super hero landing. "I am here! To fight!"

"We're you against All Might!?"

"You're gonna have to work together boys, if you want to win!"

"Hey, teach? Who's that over there?" Mineta asked, pointing to Morgana.

"Ah, the cat. He's veteran that used to teach at U.A. He's volunteered to come back and help." Aizawa said as Morgana stood in his human form. You couldn't see that cat anywhere.

"And now that the questions are all out of the way, let's announce the teams and the teachers they'll be facing!" Principal Nezu said as everyone looked.
