The second they hit the ground at wherever the portal took then, they heard screaming. They quickly looked to see it came from Sami. He had been hit with flames. It wasn't on fire, but a lot of the shirt where the fire hit had been burnt away.

Sami had landed on hit back, but quickly rolled to his stomach. His hands were in tight fists. He managed to stop screaming, but he was whimpering in agony.

Magnus and Alec were closest to him since they all went through the portal at the same time. They looked at Sami's back. It was badly burnt and covered in nasty red blisters. Isabelle rushed over and was trying to calm him down.

" Sami you did it. Were free." Says Clary.

Sami have a small smile, but it was gone as quickly as it came. They looked around and saw they were close to where Luke's place was. " Why did you bring us to Luke's place and not the Institute?" Says Clary.

" Because, Evan knows where the Institute is. It'll be the first place he looks, but he has no knowledge of Luke and your family, so I assumed this would be the best place to go." Says Sami. He closed his eyes tight and bit his lip, whimpering in pain again.

Clary nodded. " Come on, let's get Sami inside. My mom can help us deal with the burns until he can heal himself."

They nodded. Magnus and Alec helped Sami up and supported him as they took him to the door of Luke's place. They knocked on the door. Luke answered. " Clary? Jocelyn hurry, Clary's here." Yelled Luke. Then he noticed Sami was hurt.

Clary's mom ran up and saw they. She pulled Clary into a hug, " Oh Clary I've been so worried." then she also spotted Sami. She saw he was hurt. " Hurry. Bring him in and lay him on the couch. I'll be right back." Says Jocelyn.

They brought him in and laid him on the couch on his stomach. Soon Jocelyn came back and her and Clary started taking care of the burns all over him back. They got rid of the burnt up shirt and left him without one for now.

While they took care of the burns the others were filling Luke and Jocelyn in on everything that had happened and what Evan plans to do next. " So let me get this straight. You two were kidnapped by this Evan guy, got free, killed him. Then this guy who's hurt in the couch right now threatened everyone's life, and nearly took Jace's to get some spells, brought his brother back to life and made him insane and four times more powerfull then he already was, stormed the demon wards, took over the Clave with a mind control spell and now rules over all Shadowhunters and Idris, then his brother turned on him put him in a cell, he freed you after Evan's new plan to get more power and brought you here, and he's the only one to get hurt while escaping?" Says Luke.

" Yes." Says Alec.

" So one of the bad guys is sitting on my couch?" Says Luke. They nodded again.

" My brother is way more insane then I am." Says Sami.

" Why are you guys helping him?" Says Luke.

" Because he kept to what he said and got us out ofere before Evan could kill us. The least we could do is be nice and help him." Says Clary.

" Even though I don't deserve it. Still I thank you all for your help." Says Sami.

He then whimpered in pain. " Can't you heal yourself?" Says Luke.

" I could, but I need to save up my magic to help defeat Evan." Says Sami.

" Your going to help us against Evan, your own brother?" Says Jace.

" I have no choice. He's gone to far and if I don't he won't stop till he kills all of us. It's the only way." Says Sami. There was no mistaking the pain in his voice and in his eyes.

" Magnus can't you heal him?" Says Jocelyn.

" Can't. They took my powers before I was put in the cell. I have a little bit, but until I can get my powers back from Evan, I cant do anything. If I had power to heal him I would. "says Magnus.

" Then call Catarina or Tessa for help." Says Alec.

" I think it would be safer if I went to get Catarina myself." Says Magnus.

" Than come here and take some of my power." Says Sami.

" Really?" Says Magnus.

" Yes." Says Sami. " You know the spell so go ahead."

Magnus nodded and walked up to him. " You ready?" Says Magnus. Sami nodded.

They all watched as Magnus started the spell and a orange ring of magic appeared around Sami's body and some power was taken from him and put into Magnus's body. When Magnus had enough make portals, he stoped.

" Thank you Sami." Says Magnus.

" Go with Alexander, get Catarina and bring her here as quickly as possible. I have no idea if Evan's here in new York searching for us, but if you wait to long and he somehow senses the power from making portals, he will be able to find us and attack." Says Sami.

Magnus nodded and went to stand next to Alec, he then made a portal on the wall and left with him. After a while they made it back with Catarina and she went straight to Sami.

" This will be healed in no time." Says Catarina. She place her hands directly over her back and started healing him.

Soon she was done and Sami was siting up. He was looking at the ground. " Is he ok?" Asks Catarina.

" I'm fine." Says Sami.

" How did he... " says Catarina. They were at the other side of the room.

" He can read minds." Says Magnus.

" Alec?" Says Sami.

They looked and saw he was at the door. " Yeah?" Says Alec.

" Can I talk to you? Alone?" Says Sami.

Alec looked at the others and nodded. He followed Sami to one of the back rooms and closed the door. Sami's back was to him. " What did you need to talk to me about?" Says Alec.

" I wanted t-to apologize about everything." Says Sami.

Alec was shocked by what he said. Sami turned to face him. " Yes, it was my intention to take over the Clave the way we did, but it was never my intention to want to kill you or have things go so far as to take power. After Evan had been killed I automatically assumed it was you who did it and all I wanted to do was make you pay for it. Then I find out this morning that it wasn't you who killed him after all. I've put you through all this crap for nothing, and I'm sorry for that." Says Sami.

Alec still didn't reply cause he wasn't sure how. " Evan's obsession with power was there even when we were kids. Our step father died when Evan was 10 and I was 12, Evan lost it and ran away. I was worried about him because he was just learning his powers like I had when I was his age and that's when his eyes turned red, my eyes are solid blue, but I figured out how to keep them looking normal with a really strong glamour, even the best looking through the glamour can't see through it. I stayed with my mom to take care of her, but when I turned 16 she was sick, and the illness was going to kill her. She asked me to go find Evan and bring him back cause she wanted to be with us when she died. I did what she asked and it took me a week to find him, when I told him what was happening at home he left with me, we made it there and she said she loved us and asked me to protect Evan no matter what. I promised her I would look after my younger brother no matter what. She died that night and Evan helped me bury her. We had been the last people she saw. I woke the next morning and Evan was gone. He had left me no note and I had no idea where he was, I went through my life till two years ago not knowing if he was ok. He finally made contact with me and we met up. I saw he was different. The look in his eyes was the same he had when he was in control of the things we did when we were kids. All he wanted was power and he admitted it. So in order to stay with him and rule together with my brother and look after him like I promised my mom, I came up with that plan, but when I found out he was dead I snapped, I had never been so sad and angry before and I felt like I had let my mom down and he had been my only family. So I put the plan into action myself. I was so happy when I brought him back, but when he turned on me it hurt, cause I knew he wasn't the Evan I knew. He's wasn't The real Evan, my younger brother anymore. I realized my brother had been replace with a evil power hungry monster and it was all my fault. I hate what I have done and I must help stop the power hungry monster I created. So please, even though I don't deserve it, I hope that you can forgive me. For everything?" Says Sami.

Alec was speechless. He saw pain in Sami's eyes. It proved that what he had told Alec was true. Every bit of it. " I will forgive you, but I don't trust you, and I probably never will, unless you somehow earn it." Says Alec.

Sami nodded. " Thank you for forgiving me and bringing me here with you. Evan would have killed me if he had gotten to me before you guys pulled me through the portal." Says Sami.

Alec nodded. " Come on, let's go talk to the others and get something to eat. We only ate about twice while we were in the cell and I'm hungry." Says Alec.

Sami nodded and together they both left the room to talk to the others and eat.
