Sami was very nervous. It was now up to him to somehow knock Evan out, take some of his powers and help the others escape.

He had never thought he would help them escape, after all he's done to them, and the fact that they killed Evan. He had been surprised that they agreed to let him escape with them, but now they had agreed to let him come along as long as he kept to what he said and got them out, and after hearing that Sami made up his mind that he would keep to what he said no matter what.

He then heard two voices whispering. He listened closely and used his ability to read minds to hear what they were saying. It was Jace and Alec.

" If Sami does manage to get us out of here and away from Evan, do you think we can trust him?" Whispers Alec.

" I don't think I would trust him even of he did manage to get us out. He's been hurting you and trying to kill you cause he thinks your the one who killed Evan. Anyone who try's to kill my Parabatai will pay the price for it." Says Jace.

What does he mean think? I know Alec is the one who killed Evan, I know it. Thought Sami. He listened closely.

" Jace... " says Alec, but Jace interrupted him.

" Why do you keep Leting then go after you in the first place, it wasn't you who killed him." Says Jace.

" Jace if I told them that I wasn't the one who killed Evan to begin with, they would go after the one who really did, and I can't let what's been happening to me happen to you." Says Alec.

" I don't care, Alec they have hurt you, and put you through all this crap because they think you did it, when really it should be me. I'm the one who killed him not you, I threw the dagger that ended Evan's life and your taking all the blame for it. You blame yourself. Please don't blame yourself for this anymore, all of this is not your fault. It's mine, so please stop blaming yourself and next time they say you killed Evan, don't take the blame. Tell them who really did it no matter what happens afterwards ok?" Says Jace.

" Ok." Says Alec.

Sami's eyes went wide. He read Jace's thoughts and found his memory of that day when he threw the dagger that ended Evan's life. Seeing his brothers death from the eyes of the person who threw the dagger brought tears to his eyes. He made a bad mistake going after Alec, he didn't do it. Jace did. If they made it through today Sami made a promise that he would apologize to them all, especially Alexander.

" Promise me you won't blame yourself anymore ok? Promise me." Says Jace.

" I promise I won't blame myself for this anymore." Says Alec.

He heard Jace let out a sigh. " Thank you Alec." Says Jace.

They started talking again about random things, Sami didn't listen to this. He was to busy thinking over a plan. He had one, but he was going to make sure it was perfect and that it would work.

After a while there was a noise from the door down the hall. Sami leapt to his feet right away. He was very nervous. If he failed he knew for sure Evan wouldn't hesitate to kill him. Brother or not.

Evan's face soon showed up at the bars. " Aww you already stood up. I was looking forward to helping you again." Says Evan.

" Sorry bro, but that's not going to happen this time." Says Sami.

" Whatever, let's get this over with. I have work to do and power to take." Says Evan.

He opened the door and started motioned for Sami to go in front of him. " What no magic cuffs this time?" Says Sami.

" No need. I know you won't do anything to me." says Evan.

" What makes you think I wont?" Says Sami. He was well aware of the others watching.

Evan grinned and leaned in close to where his mouth was by Sami's ear. " Your weak. Plus of your try anything there will be very bad consequences. Understand?" Says Evan.

Sami nodded. Evan stood up straight. " Good, now let's go. You first." Says Evan.

He shoved Sami forward. Sami didn't look at the Shadowhunters or the Warlock. If he did Evan would see and it would probably give away something.

He walked through the halls till Evan had him go into the Clave meeting room again. When he was in he turned around to face Evan. " Well let's get this over with." Says Evan.

" Evan you know you don't have to go through with this." Says Sami.

" I do Sami, you betrayed me and this is the only way I can get you in my side forever." Says Evan.

Sami's heart started racing. He couldn't believe that Evan would even think of doing this to him. Evan walked up to him and shoved him hard. Sami triped and fell into the chair he didn't notice was right behind him.

Evan snapped and big metal cuffs appeared around his ankles keeping his feet to the legs of the chair and around his wrists that were on the armrests.

" Evan you can't be serious?" Says Sami.

" Oh I am brother. I never wanted to do this. I never wanted to take your powers. I'm sorry but this is how it's going to be." Says Evan.

He walked up to Sami. " E-Evan, you... I-I just... I... " stuttered Sami.

" Sshhh, the more you fight the worse it's going to be." Says Evan.

Evan tried to put his hands to Sami's temples, but Sami kept moving his head. Evan finally grabbed his head. " STOP IT SAMI!!" Yelled Evan.

Sami sighed. He knew what he has to do. He had quickly come up with another plan knowing his first one won't work anymore. He really did not want to do this, but it's the only way to surprise Evan enough to get free and knock him out.

Just when Evan was about to start the spell Sami shot a small spark and hit Evan in the hip. Evan jumped back and let out a yelp of surprise. Sami shot another spark, he made it stronger. Evan stumbled back. Evan growled in anger.

He looked at the door and stuck his hand out, closing it with his magic. When he looked back Sami was gone. " WHAT?!!!!" Yelled Evan.

Then he was his in the back wth a spark sending him flying. Evan hit the ground and slid to the wall. Sami walked up to him. " Don't worry brother, I'm not going to kill you. I have other plans for you, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to hurt you." Says Sami, using the same words Evan used on him before he took his powers.

Evan smirked. " Do you honestly think you can hurt me brother? You may have caught me by surprise, but I doubt you can do it. I mean seriously, do you honestly think you can do it and knock me out?"

" Watch me."

Evan's laughed. Sami aimed at his head and shot a spark. The second it hit Evan's head, he was out. Sami hated having to do that. He didn't want to hurt his own brother, but he had no choice. Now he had to gather his power back from Evan.

He stuck his hands out and started the spell. A orange ring appeared around Evan's body and he started taking some of his power back from Evan. Once he had enough he closed his eyes and smiled. Then he heard a noise. He opened his eyes and saw Evan awake staring at him. The blind fury in his eyes was hard to miss.

Crap crap crap, thought Sami. He took off and made a portal to the cells and jumped through it just as Evan got up and shot flams at him. The flams missed and hit the doors after the portal was gone. " That's it Sami when I get my hands on you, you dead!!" Spat Evan to no one.

Sami was now in the area the cells were. He ran to where the others were and used his magic to unlock it. They looked at him.

" Hurry, Evan will be here any minute." Says Sami. They nodded and got up. Sami made a portal on the wall. Just then Evan barged in.

" SAMI, I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!!!"  Yelled Evan. He ran for them.

Sami had to hold in his whimper of fear. " Hurry." Says Sami.

Clary, Jace, Simon, and Isabelle went in first. They dodged flams shot at them by Evan, then knowing Sami kept his word and did what he said he would, they would keep their word of taking him with them.

Magnus and Alec quickly grabbed Sami and took off towards the portal with Evan right behind them. When they were close enough they lunged for it. Evan shot flams at the same time and hit Sami in the back. A loud scream of pure agony left Sami's mouth as they went through the portal. The second they passed through the portal, it disappeared leaving a very angry Evan behind in the area the cells were.
