Alec woke to intense pain. His head was pounding and it almost hurt to take deep breaths. His middle hurt a lot around the rib cage, and he had a horrible headache. His right leg hurt badly as well.

He peeled his eyes open to look around, but only found himself surrounded by darkness. He tried to move, but when he did pain flared up through his entire body causing him to whimper. He was aware that when he moved there was the rattle of a chain, which could only mean he was chained up.

He closed his eyes to rest, waiting for the pain to die down some. He must have been from the exsplostion and breaking through that stone wall. What he needs is his stele to draw healing runes, but all weapons were gone.

Before he could think of anything else He slowly drifted off into another deep sleep.

This time when Alec woke, he was no longer inside or in the dark. This time he was outside in a huge feild tied to a post by chains. His hands were above his head at the top of the post. Kept there by chains. He still felt pain all over his body, so he knew he hadn't been healed.

He looked to the side to see Isabelle, Magnus, Clary, Simon, and Jace. They were tied up just like Alec. All of them were awake. " Well well well, look who finally decided to wake up." Says a voice close to Alec. He looked ahead and saw Evan standing there with Sami. They were smiling at them.

" You know you Shadowhunters need to be more prepared for stuff like this. It was just way to easy to take you guys down." Says Evan.

No one said anything. Then Sami spoke. " Yoh must be wondering why your all outside and not in a cell. Well let me answe that unasked question for you. Were going to do the mind control spell on all the Clave member and those who have sworn they will never follow us even if we ruled the Clave, and You guys are going to sit there and watch." 

" Ha!! There ain't no way any Shadowhunter would ever follow you even if you ruled the Clave." Says Jace.

" Your right. They won't follow us, willingly. However." Says ami, walking forward till he was close to Jace. " If we were to control all the people who are in charge of all Shadowhunter, they would be forced to follow us whether they like it or not."

Jace growled in anger, but stayed quiet. Sami laughed. He then backed up and stood next to Evan. " Now we're not going to kill any of you, we have other plans, but first it's time to take over the minds of the Clave." Says Evan.

Alec didn't notice that their was ten people, all memebers of the Clave. Including Jia, and his parents. They were tied up the same way that they were. 

Evan looked at Sami. " Well let's get started with the spell." Says Evan.

Sami nodded and walked forward towards them. They stoped in front of one of them. It was a guy. Alec didn't know His name. " Well let's get started shall we." Says Evan. Sami nodded. 

Then their hands started glowing as they started the spell. Alec saw his father was looking at him. Alec knew he had let him down. He didn't keep his family safe. He made a promise that he couldn't keep. He mouthed put the words. ' I'm sorry father.'

He dad gave him a small smiled and nodded. Then mouthed out the words. ' It's ok son, you did all you could.'

Alec partly smiled. His father understood. The person never made a sound as they did the spell. When they finished they freed the person they just did and moved on to the next. Alec was looking at his parents the entire time. He was worried for them.

Soon there was only his parents and Jia left. Evan turned to Sami. " From what he's read in your mind, these two are your parents." Says Evan.

" Yeah and... ?!" Yelled Alec.

" Oh nothing. I'm just going to enjoy having you watch as we take over your parents minds." Says Evan. Theh turned back and started the spell in his mom with Sami.

" YOU CAN'T DO THIS!!! YOU HAVE NO RIGHT!!!" Screamed Isabelle. 

After they finished and freed their mom he turned to look at her. " Oh I have every right little girl. You guys killed me and this right here is just pay back." Says Evan.

" Come on Evan, enough small talk. Let's get this over with." Says Sami.

Evan glared at Sami, but started the spell with him again, only this time on his father. Robert kept a calm face. He locked eyes with them one last time and mouthed out the words. ' I love you guys, look out for each other.'

Then his eyes turned red cause of the spell and his face stayed blank. Alec wanted to fight. He wanted to save them so bad, but his body was still in to much pain to move to much. Evan was laughing like a maniac. They released Robert and told him to leave with the other and that after they did her they would be there soon.

Robert nodded and left. Finally theh turned to Jia and got ready. They then started the spell. " Magnus      . Can't you use your magic to stop them?" Says Alec.

" I'm sorry Alexander, but I can't." Says Magnus.

" Why not?" Says Alec.

" Because, they already took almost all of my power. I don't even have enough power to make the weakest spark. I don't have any power Alexander.  It's almost all gone." Says Magnus.

Alec looked ahead back at Evan and Sami. They just freed Jia and sent her the the Clave building. Which means, they have control of all Clave memebers. They control all. They've won. How could it have been that easy? Thought Alec.

Evan and Sami looked over at them. Evan's eyes flared red. Sparks crackled across his hands. " We'll send some people to take you guys to your cells soon, but for now your staying there." Says Evan. He then snapped his fingers and theh disappeared and were gone, but there were still a couple gaurds around.

They've won and they know it. It still didn't make sense how they won against so many Shadowhunters. He knew they would find out soon, but from here on out he will keep the promise he made to his father. He will protect his family with his life. even if it takes his life.  Magnus's power is almost all gone, Evan and Sami have now taken over the Clave which means they've taken over every thing. Alec should have trusted his feelings for how he felt about this. 

He had a feeling for so many days that this exact thing was going to happen and they were going to win, and now it's come true and Alec can't help but blame himself for it.

" Stop it Alec. Don't you dare blame yourself for this." Says Isabelle.

" Yeah it's not your fault ok." Says Clary.

" Their right." Says Simon.

" They how come they've won. If I hadn't been so stupid as to give Sami the spells in the first place we wouldn't be in this mess, so technically it is my fault." Says Alec.

" No it's not. First of all, I should have been more careful as to look at my surroundings before I moved the spell." Says Magnus.

" And secondly, if I hadn't of forced you into telling me about the seperate task things would have been different, especially if my life hadn't been on the line. So it was all our faults." Says Jace.

Alec looked at them. They had a huge smile on their faces. It brought a smile to his face. " Don't worry Alec. We'll get through this and beat those two. We will win.  So don't give up hope." Says Isabelle.

" Don't worry, I won't." Says Alec. He felt a bit happier. Leave it to his family and friends to give him what they need most in a situation like this. Hope.
