" Come on Magnus, we need hurry up." Says Alec. He was almost jumping up and down on his toes out of nervousness. Jace had told him there had been a note on the door to the Institute, and the note was for him. Alec didn't understand that. It made no sense. Why on earth would it be for him, and more importantly, what did it say?

" MAGNUS COME ON!!" Yelled Alec.

" Fine, I'm coming. Just give me a second." Says Magnus.

" You said that 15 minutes ago." Says Alec.

" Well this time I mean it."

Alec groaned in frustration. This was taking forever. Then he got call from Jace. He answered it and put his phone to his ear. " Hello Alec!!" Says Jace over the phone.

" We're on our way." Says Alec.

" What's taking you so long?" Says Jace.

" Magnus is doing something in the back room, I don't know what it is." Says Alec.

" Well tell him to hurry up." Says Jace.

Alec removed the phone from his face. " MAGNUS, JACE SAYS HURRY UP!!" Yelled Alec.

" I'LL BE THERE IN A MINUTE!!" Magnus yelled back.

" He said.." Says Alec.

" I know what he said, I could hear him."

" Fine, then we will be there soon." Says Alec.

" ALEC COME HERE HURRY!! I NEED YOUR HELP!!" Yelled magnus.

Then there was a loud crash. " Jace, I got to go. We'll be there in a minute." Says Alec. Then he hung up and took off towards the back room where Magnus was.

He found Magnus running around the room trying to catch something. It was fast, very fast. " Alexander , help me catch it. It has something strapped its leg and I can't catch it, it's to fast."

" Have you tried using Magic?" Says Alec.

Magnus glared at Alec for a sec. " Of course I've tried. Do I look like I was born yesterday?"says Magnus.

" No, but you sometimes act like it." Says Alec.

Magnus sighed. " It won't work on this thing. Now just help me catch it." Says Magnus.

Alec smiled and started to help him try to catch it.

( Meanwhile back at the Institute in the training room.)

" Come on Simon, you can do better then that." Says Isabelle.

" Come on Izzy, give me a break. Knife throwing is hard." Says Simon.

" No it's not." Says Isabelle.

" It is when were hanging upside down from the rafters."

" Stop being a baby and try again." Says Isabelle.

Simon sighed and tried throwing another knife. The target was on the wall closest to them. Isabelle had basically made every throw, Simon however only made two. The knife he just threw stuck into the ground by the wall.

" You paying to fix that." Says Isabelle.

" No, this was you idea so... "

" Fine, we'll both pay for it." Says Isabelle.

Simon grinned and nodded. Isabelle rolled her eyes and threw her knife. It hit the dead center of the target. " That's how it done." Says Isabelle.

" Hey, you've had way more practice with this type of stuff then I have, so you have the advantage." Says Simon.

" I know."

Simon chuckled and tried yet another knife, and this time hit the center of the target, but it didn't stick. " See Simon. Your geting better at this." Says Isabelle.

Simon just kept smiling. After a while they got bored and hoped down. " Well that was fun while it lasted." Says Isabelle.

Simon nodded. " So you hungry?" Asks Simon.

" I could be up for some food." Says Isabelle as they started walking towards the door.

" Good, but I'm cooking." Says Simon. Isabelle rolled her eyes, but was grinning.

" Fine." Says Isabelle. Then together they started out the training room and towards the kitchen.

( Meanwhile back at Magnus's flat.)

" MAGNUS, TO THE LEFT, GO TO THE LEFT, TO THE LEFT!!!" Yelled Alec.

Magnus lunged for it, but missed and hit the ground. He gasped as it ran into the living room. " ITS IN THE LIVING ROOM!!" Yelled Magnus.

They took off for the living room. Alec dived behind the couch. He grabbed it's leg, but it slipped right out of his hand. Alec let out a cry of frustration. " Alec, are you ok?" Says Magnus.

" Yes, I almost had it." Says Alec.

Then Magnus finally caught it. " Alec get the note off the leg and we'll put it outside!!" Shouted Magnus.

Alec put his hand on the back of the couch and swung his body over in one swift move, he rushed over and tried to grab the leg. He then cried out as the sharp claws sliced painfully down his hand, he then grabbed the leg and took off the note. Magnus then made it disappear.

" What was that thing?" Says Alec.

" I have no idea, let's read the note. Wait, give me your hand." Says Magnus.

Alec nodded and gave Magnus his hand. After Magnus healed his hand and made sure there was no type of poison, he opened the note and read. He eyes went wide. " No!!" Gasped Magnus.

" What is it?" Says Alec.

Magnus quickly grabbed Alec's hand and yanked him out the door. " We got to get the the Institute now." Says Magnus.

" Why? What's wrong?" Says Alec.

" I'll explain everything when we get there, just trust me ok!!" Says Magnus. Alec nodded and together the two bolted down the street towords the Institute.
