Your Pov

I finally finished my attempt in breaking the barrier, and escorting out the Demise subclasses out to the real world.

Arata sighed as he put his palm on his forehead like a visor. He stared at the sun, "it's been a long time before I gone out to the real world like this. It sure is good to be back."

They were somewhere in a forest. It was very empty besides the trees, grass and among other parts of nature.

Snow nodded in approval. "Indeed it has been a long time. A hundred years maybe.."

"Uhh, quick question.. are we far from Sendagaya's resort or..?" I opened my mouth in ajar. I had no idea what to say.

"We're somewhere near it." The Mister stated. There was a holographic device hovering above his palm. It showed a map. "Or perhaps near the city."

"So this Monochrome guy.. is he.."

"He's very dangerous and hard to spot, Lepido-san." I retorted as I waved my finger side to side. "Normal humans can't even see him but he can drag them into some mind world to make contact."

"We have to find this man before he makes deals with others. It seems like the more he has the power to grant wishes as long as that person takes his offer or deal." All calm, Arata said before transporting every subclass back to the Resort by a wave of his hand.

"I guess we should split." I said as I looked over to the Resort to see the others sitting there. They were unaware of my arrival. "And um, if you ever cross paths with the others or Rose-chan, please inform them that I was the cause of..well, EVERYTHING."

The others nodded before forming into pairs, and leaving without another word. Arata and Lepido stayed with me as my left and right.

I waved at Ash while greeting him warmly, "Ash! I'm back!"

He lazily turned before widening his eyes, and pacing up to you. "(Y/N).. who's this?" He locked his eyes at Arata, who raised a brow, but still remained in a calm state.

"Oh, this is Arata-san. He's Snow's brother and..he pressumes himself as my personal bodyguard..?" I doubt that. Very much. Do I even have the right to accept that?

I don't see Arata as my bodyguard. I see him as my friend.

"Bodyguard..?" Ash strangely scrunched his brows. Is he mad at Arata or something?

"I will guard (Y/N)-tan with my entire life even if I am already deceased." Arata frowned by Ash's rude glare at him.

"Tan? Are you two even close enough?"

"Chigau--!" Arata snarled, but was interrupted. Chigau: wrong or no in Japanese.

Lepido then cutted in and laughed sheepishly. He placed his hands on Arata's shoulders before he gets the chance to release his anger, "ahaha.. sumimasen, Daitana-kun. But Atara-dono adds up everyone's names with tan except for Eves, who he labels as 'Bocchama' or 'Ojou-sama'!"

Sumimasen: excuse me. Daitana is the inverted form of Taidana - Sloth. At least I think.

"What? Are you a womanizer or something?" Ash blunted at Arata.

"Ash!" I snapped. "You shouldn't insult a man you just met--"

"Ojou-sama, daijobu," Arata interrupted. "It's not really much of a severe statement."

Daijobu: it's fine.

I nodded before asking both subclasses to enter the resort for a private talk to Ash. Arata and Ash both exchanged rude glances on each other as they passed one another. Oh boy.

I sighed despondently, "Ash, what do you think you're doing? Did you just say something that rude to someone like Arata?" I pinched the bridge of my nose as I watched him sadden. "He didn't even do or say anything to you."

"I just don't like this Arata person. I'm fine with someone deadly like Aust being with you, but I never liked a guy hanging with you."

"Mahiru's a guy. He hangs out with me everyday. What about Lepido-kun? He hangs out with me as well, he's the one who saved me from that killer mansion.." I stared deeply at his sad eyes as his eyes locked down on the ground, "Ash, you're not jealous, are you?"

"I'm not. I.. I don't know!" He turned away as he bit his lip with his jagged teeth. That's gotta hurt though.

I intertwined his hands together with mine as I smiled, "Arata doesn't have special feelings for me. He only sees me as someone who is somebody special to him - Rose-chan. He's very loyal to her. He's just here to protect me because he's doing it for Rose, and so are the other subclasses. Don't be so afraid in losing me, silly. I'll never love someone else.."

"Not even Zinfandel..?"

"Uhh, I never even liked that guy. He only loves me because of my resemblance to his past lover, not the real me. Plus, guys that wear the same clothes like Lilly aren't really my type."

"How about guys that wear robes?" A large and gloomy aura behind Ash spooked me. It was so thick and scary.

I sweatdropped as I said, "U-Uhm, maybe..?" Is he talking about Arata? Then what happened to all that talk?

"I see.." Ash sulked and left the area. I sulked even more, the bluish purple aura around the environment almost flooded the whole resort.

Uhh, he did know that back then he used to wore a robe, right..?

Once I entered the room, everyone was indeed sulking by the thick aura on the room's atmosphere. I only saw Kuro leave the room, who was..probably the cause of that aura.

"Wh-What happened here?" I sat down along side with my Servamp's subclasses, in a crossed position.

"Beats me.. The Servamp of Sloth just came in and everything got pretty shady." Gil shrugged as he croaked out. "Shady.. shady.. right.. Ray..?" Is it me or..did he just became gloomy because of such an aura?

"That's right.. Gil.. that's right.."

I sulked in a total mode then examined the room and found out that Sakuya and the others were already there. Sendagaya and Hugh were always there since this was the place of where they were assigned to.

Licht and Lawless still haven't arrived. Busy at Licht's piano industry. Hm, I wonder how that's going?

I looked over to Mahiru then asked, "uh, Shirota-kun. H-How's your investigation?"

One thing, he was sulking and the other, he's wearing a DRESS! Is he a cross-dresser?!

He looked over with a bluish purple reaction then retorted, "we.. we've got nothing.."

"A-Are you alright, Mahiru?" I asked out of dismay and fear. This type of Mahiru was freaking me out. Really.

"I-I.. I.." nothing literally came out of his mouth.

Instead, Sakuya answered, "he's been through a lot lately. Mikuni-san's been terrorizing (torturing) us."

He kept scowling at Mikuni whenever he asked to do a makeup for Sakuya.

So he's like a makeup artist right now, huh? Wait. Why can't he just do a makeup on his dolls or mannequins since he loves maquillage so much?

"T-Terrorizing?" I had the wimpy urge to rake over to Mikuni-san, "i-is that true, Mikuni-san..?"

And just then, before I knew it. His dark and creepy aura was wafting through the air and slinking behind me. I suddenly felt like the world was ending.

I was..completely terrorized by this man.

"Ja, (y/n)-san~! Shall I do the same to you~?"

I could've sworn seeing his abnoxious grin even from behind.

I gulped and answered, "n-no thanks, Mikuni. I'm good." I grinned sheepishly. "H-How about you do that rouge on your dolls and mannequins instead?"

Thanks, (y/n)-san! You saved our lives! Both Mahiru and Sakuya thought as they felt like they were about to die.

I can feel it.

Mikuni blinked and said, "huh? Why? That won't be fun. Wouldn't a real living being be more entertaining?"

This guy has the cuckoos but his Servamp was pretty powerful. We downright need his power with us.

Though, this is exasperating!

I sulked and stated, "no. It doesn't, actually."

He ignored me by a shrug then continued bombarding the creepiest questions at Mahiru and Sakuya.

And just then, I recognized something. "Hey, where's Rose?"

"We haven't seen Demise afterwards. She didn't came back ever since she reported that she was going to somewhere and rather doesn't want to tell us where she is." Misono informed us. My eyes widen. Why would she do that?

"Aust-chan is sneaky.." Lilly playfully added.

"Man, I hope she's alright." I mumbled beneath my breath. I really am worried about her.

"She'll be fine. Demisu-tan is strong, despite her being one of the youngest siblings." Arata commented.

"I know. I know. But I.." I then managed to croak out another explanation, "Rose is someone important to me. I want to entirely understand her so I can..comfort her. She's too depressed all the time. I..just feel hurt whenever I see her like that."

He nodded in apprehension. He understood my words very well. That's what I like about Arata. He was very observant and a good listener.

Though..

He was right about one thing.

Rose is strong. She knows how to and is prepared to kill. I can understand such a murderous habit but I can't afford Rose killing innocents, especially children.

I just can't tolerate it.

"Anyways, how's the search, guys?" Everyone in the room gave me an answer that literally says no.

They found nothing, as usual.

Is Monochrome really this hard to find? I mean, he IS invisible to normal humans but we aren't just humans. Half of us are Eves, Servamps and subclasses.

How is that possible?

How can one person be so hard to find?

It soon turned from dawn to nightfall. Rose still hasn't come back. Sendagaya cooked us dinner. I realized that Kuro wasn't there with us.

Was he still upset about that talk earlier?

I rejected every food one of my associates handed out to me, due to their dismay about my hunger. I wasn't hungry at the moment.

What happened to my parents and family?

What did Monochrome meant about my family? How did he know what happened to my parents?

What am I? How am I able to see or ruminate people's memories?

Why do I gain a resemblance to two people?

Is there anyone there who's still a relative of mine?

Something then caught my eye which caused me to turn. It was Rose.

I smiled and waved, "Rose!" I ran up to her, giving her a surprising hug. "I was worried about you! What were you doing anyway?"

Rose just gave me a small smile and shrugged.

I blinked but just let her do her own thing. I watched her lay herself on the resort's rooftop. I shouldn't bother her though. This was clearly not my business to mess with her personal life.

I shrugged then came back to the others and discuss plans. I'm going to find Monochrome. I swear!

Rose's Pov

I was looking down on the ground that was coated with dry leaves. I hid a portion of my face perfectly withy hood.

I was blushing a bit. Right after..what happened before.

Once I looked up, I mentally gasped.

Rei walked up to me from afar. No one saw him do that because the resort's door was shut.

After a sudden blink of an eye, he was already beside me. "So, want to eat dinner with me?" He held a basket. "I assume you don't eat because you're inhuman but can't you at least try?"

He gave me a sandwich. I blinked silently and murmured, "I'm not sure if..this is good for me. I'm not hungry."

"When was the last time you ate?"

"Three hundred years ago." I mumbled, looking away because of embarrassment.

I heard him chuckle and clamp a hand on my shoulder, "well, if it's a hundred years, then you should eat. For the sake of your existence.." he insisted me as he gave out the sandwich.

I sighed softly. Just this once.

I accepted it and took a bite. A small smile formed in my lips, "tastes good.." thus, he laughed.

"See? Told ya." He nibbled on his bread as he said, "your Eve really cares about you, huh? I saw what happened."

I sighed deeply, "yeah. She shouldn't, though."

"Why not?"

"I've done something tragic in the past. And it..involves her. So, therefore, she shouldn't care for me. I'm a monster anyway."

Just then, warm hands wrapped around me. I blushed once I realized it was Rei. "You're not a monster. Whoever says that is absurd. You're a good person. It's the reason why your Eve trusts you." He softly told me.

I smiled but that disappeared, "we can't be together, though."
He pulled away with a sad face and waited for my explanation. "Your brother and I are enemies. You..are too. I would be a disgrace to my Eve and you'll be a disgrace to your brother as well." I turned away as I grimaced.

I felt his finger tuck a strand behind my ear as he said, "that doesn't matter. Didn't I say I want to be with you?" He chuckled, "what does my brother care? He doesn't even love me. He..hates me."

His smile then disappeared and then turned into a stern one. "Zinfandel and Reo are discussing plans for an attack at a museum. I assume they'll be taking something."

"Something? What could that be?"

"I heard them talk about some ancient scrolls, but after Reo noticed that I was listening, he ordered Zinfandel to take me out of the room. I didn't hear anything after that."

"Every night I'll come and visit you, but please don't tell others about our relationship. And also..the fact that I'm visiting you." He held my hand, as I felt his warmth. "If Reo finds out about something like this, he might try to straightforwardly get you or your Eve. I don't want that."

I nodded as he smiled, "yush! Let's eat."
