"Clamentine, you should call grandpa and ask if you can use his  house for your sleep over; it's transparent," my dad says, while his fingers slid over the keyboard on his sleek, gray, Toshiba laptop.

I didn't always like my grandpa that much, but not to the point where I couldn't even talk to him. He's usually really nice to me and takes me where I need to go, so whenever I'm visiting him for special occasions, or anything really, I'll always try to be nice to him. He would brag to my dad about how filthy rich he is, and owning five houses in every state in the U.S.

"Ok dad, but it's a transparent house, which is made mostly out of glass. What if some crazy psychopath or serial killer sees us alone by ourselves?"

"That's silly, it's in the woods and it's quite nice there, you should go. Your grandpa use to take me there when I was younger," he replied after taking a sip from his coffee mug with the words " World's Best Dad" printed onto it.

I took my iPhone 5 out the back of my pocket and dialed my grandpa's phone number and waited until he finally picked up.

"I'm in California what do you want Josh! "he yelled at me through my phone while coughing a little.

"Hey grandpa, it's Clamentine, and umm, I don't mean to be rude but you should try and settle down for a bit. You know, just take a break and stop to smell the roses. Oh! I'm having a sleep over tomorrow night and I thought it would be ok if we could borrow the house for my sleep over.

"Yeah sure, I don't care." He hung up on me afterwards, (Guess he doesn't have any manners), but who cares? I'm going to have a sleepover in an expensive house that my dad can't afford! No offense dad.

I ran upstairs to my medium sized room and leaped into my soft cushioned bed. I turned my phone back on and tapped the app "Kik" so I could go tell my buddies the good news.

I turned off my phone,  and lay there staring off into space. After a while, my dad walks in my room. "Hey David, said he would drive his over here to come pick you, and whoever else is going, up. You and your friends have a good time, alright? As long as there's no pole dancing."

I rolled my eyes at his ridiculous comment he made and listened to him.

" When y'all get there, you can go do whatever you people do these days. David will also be there staying in the guest room."

I did a short victory dance around my room, which I probably shouldn't have done since I dance like a chicken with it's head cut  off.
I thanked my dad a lot for letting me go to . If you're wondering who David is, he's my stepdad. I live with my dad while David lives with my mom. He's actually a pretty cool guy once you get to meet him.

I grabbed my phone and turned it on again and then FaceTimed Trey.

Clam: Hey ugly, guess what?

Clam: David is going to bring his party bus to the house and we just party in it until we reach my grandpa's!

I smiled at him and said good bye as I blew him a kiss to mess with him thinking I like him, which I really don't, as he blew a kiss to me and then hung up.
