Dark clouds loomed the sky as rain thundered against the ground. The sounds of patrols leaving and returning were drowned out by the thunder booming loudly. Deathkit poked her head out of the nursery and a rain drop hit her in the head and she squeaks falling backwards into birdheart. She purrs in amusement.
   "You okay" she meows purring and Deathkit nods smiling. Birdheart nods and nudged her back on her paws. Deathkit scramble out of the nursery slipping in mud and fell but teeth met her scruff keeping her from falling.the smell of herbs hit her nose and she saw cloudpaw holding her off the ground.
  "Thank you" she meows to the blind Tom and he nods.cloudkit carried her to the nursery and dropped her next to crowflight and left. Deathkit scrambled up and ran under crowflight's paws causing the older she-cat to trip on her and fall. Deathkit ran over to mousekit and jumped on her.
   "Deathkit" she squeaks and laughed jumping on her. Deathkit squeaks and they chased each other.
   "You kits are getting to rough and too big for the nursery" birdheart meows lifting her leg as the kits ran past her.crowflight nods in agreement and Deathkit jumped on mousekit.
   "Got you" she purrs holding mousekit down.
crowflight saw more and more of Emeraldstar in Deathkit as she grew and it made her remember Deathkit wasn't her real daughter only her foster daughter. Deathkit got off mousekit and ran out of the den mousekit following.

Deathkit and mousekit returned covered in mud and their mother's groans and grabbed them grooming them.Deathkit wiggled around and grunts as crowflight licked her fur clean and spat out mud. Birdheart licked mousekit's head.
    "Now stay in the den we done need Wet kits and green cough" crowflight meows and laid down around shrewkit and cherrykit. Deathkit laid next to mousekit and fell asleep next to her best friend. Crowflight looked at her and laid her head down.

Deathkit woke up to yowls and poked her head out of the nursery and sees the warriors fighting three foxes when suddenly sharp teeth met her shoulder and she wailed as a Fox dragged her from the nursery. Tigernose leaps out of nowhere and tackled the Fox. Deathkit was wailing in agony her shoulder was in agonizing pain.crowflight ran to her and tried to help her kit. Deathkit's wails of agony echoed around camp. Tigernose clawed the Fox so savagely it wailed in pain like Deathkit. Deathkit cried tears staining her face and daisynose ran up with her herbs.
  "Deathkit this will hurt but I promise it wont for long" daisynose meows and felt the kit's shoulder.
Deathkit wailed and thrashed around trying to get her off.
   " crowflight hold her down before she does more damage to her shoulder" daisynose order and crowflight pinned Deathkit down. Daisynose kept feeling her shoulder.
  "She's going to have a slight limp now when she walks her shoulder is badly damaged but not broken" the small she-cat meows and Crowflight nods. Daisynose wrapped Deathkit's wounds up with herbs and Crowflight let her up. Deathkit groans in pain and daisynose carries her to the medicine den to keep an eye on her.Deathkit laid on her side whimpering in pain and daisynose gave her a poppyseed to help her sleep and she turned to cloudpaw.
  "We're going to spiritpool at moonhigh make sure she's comfortable I'm going to ask jaymist to come watch her" daisynose meows and cloudpaw nods. He made a nest out of feathers and rabbit fur and gently picked Deathkit up and laid her in the nest. The small kit whimpered but remains asleep.

  Daisynose padded to the nursery and walked up to jaymist.
   "jaymist may I ask you for a favor" she asked and the pregnant she-cat nods.
  "Could you watch deathkit while cloudpaw and I are at spiritpool" daisynose asked the queen.
   "Of course" she said lifting herself onto her paws. Daisynose nods and padded back to the medicine den with jaymist trailing behind her.
  "We must be going cloudpaw" daisynose meows as jaymist curled around the kit. Cloudpaw nods and looks at Deathkit worried that if they left she wouldn't be alive when they returned.
  "She'll be okay I showed jaymist the herbs and their uses so she knows what to do if something happens" daisynose reassure the young tom. Cloudpaw sighs and followed his mentor still worried about deathkit's well being. Daisynose and cloudpaw left camp heading towards the hill where spiritpool was inside of.
