How is it that when it comes to everything unlucky the world seems to favor me a lot?
I know I might be one of the privileged here on earth but COME ON.
The world didn't cut me some slack with all the weird and annoying crap that is happening to me each day.
Let's not forget how I tend to break my phone every single time it's on my hands.
I would really like to have a normal day, even once in my entire life. I'll take it even if it means I'll have to eat a smelly sock. I mean it! I'm out of options!
What's happening to me is practically normal and it's not that weird you say? Pft.
How about each time I see a scary figure and it turns out to be a big joke the world is playing on me? Yeah, I got you speechless?
The fact is no matter what I do, I tend to find myself in a very uncomfortable and sometimes frightening situation just like this morning when I woke up with my dogs ass kissing my face because I thought Chester's body was a pillow.
And now I find myself with Leo's little sister, Erica, a skinny, gothic, phone obsessed, slightly taller than me, first year high school girl who is standing beside me and has no plans whatsoever on creating small talk, not that I mind.
But the awkward silence is killing me and this will be the first time I am thankful a saleslady is coming towards me.
Did I mention Leo invited me on a 'date'? No?
Well, he just barged in the house this morning and asked me the instant he saw me and I accepted almost immediately. I mean who can resist Leo?
And that is why ladies and gentleman I am now with his sister picking formal dresses in Forever 22 and I am also having the VERY best time of my life.
"This green dress would match your green colored bangs very well!" the saleslady started with her sales talk.
Oh! She's not talking to me. I did not suddenly have green bangs. It would horribly contrast with my blue hair.
"Fine, I'll take it with my size then," Erica replied without even looking at what the saleslady is offering her and sauntered towards the counter.
I wish I was that confident. I sighed and browsed the hangers in search for the perfect dress with the saleslady on my tail.
After almost half an hour of searching, something sparkly and elegant caught my eye and I went to try it on without hesitation.
I stared at my reflection in the mirror. I'm wearing a black sparkling dress with a wide opening that reached my shoulders and with a length that a bit reached past my knees.
It's absolutely the perfect dress for me! The dress looks sophisticated, elegant, and modest for a girl with simple tastes like me.
Leo would die if he sees me in the Summer Gala wearing a dress for the first time.
Wait. It seems I forgot to mention something important again.
Well folks, I'm Leo's date on Hollywood's most prestigious auction and social event, the Summer Gala, where the very famous celebrities and those people who are big in the entertainment industry gather for tequila and buffet! Erm, gather for charity!
I hope you guys did not misunderstand. Because it's not THAT kind of date.
Suddenly I feel very hot.
"Miss? You're not looking very well. Shall I escort you to the clinic?" the saleslady asked, concerned.
I gulped, "N-no, I'm fine."
I looked around for Erica. "Pardon me, but have you seen the green haired girl who was with me?"
The saleslady narrowed her eyes then brightened as if remembering something.
"Oh, did you mean your older sister? She left when you entered the fitting room."
My mouth hanged open. Not because Erica left me-maybe it is also partly her fault-but because the saleslady thought she's my older sister.
Still purely astounded, I closed my mouth and went to pay for the dress on the counter.

With a shopping bag in hand I visited a nearby café and saw that there are only a few people sitting around.
I ordered my coffee and sat at the most secluded table in the corner.
I was enjoying the peace and quiet until somebody disturbed it by sitting on the chair facing me.
I looked up while sipping on my coffee and almost choked when I recognized who it is.
"Nice to see you too," he smirked.
The nerve of this guy!
I dabbed a napkin on my mouth. "Are you stalking me?"
He snorted, "Yeah right."
"If you're here to annoy me then escort yourself out the door!"
"I was 100% here for the delicious coffee but now I'm 75% here for the coffee because once again, coincidentally, I found you and now I'm here to annoy you too," he grinned.
I groaned and stood up when he stopped me.
"Hey come on, I just want to talk."
I stared at him and his pleading eyes.
"Fine, my company is worth another cup of coffee."
He rolled his eyes, "M'kay, I'll supply you caffeine until you turn nocturnal."
I sit back down and sipped my coffee.
"I can supply you cocaine too."
I spat coffee at his face.
"Shit, mother-that's freaking hot. Why the heck did you do that?"
"Your fault for being so unpredictable! Why do you think saying 'cocaine' in a casual conversation is normal?" I spat at him, this time with words.
"It was a joke! And you're the unpredictable one here!"
I stared at his alluring eyes and at his face which was noticeably wet with coffee.
I giggled.
"What's so funny?" he asked, looking so irritated.
I cracked up laughing.
"You're crazy."
Half-laughing I finally mustered to explain my laughing fits. "I just remembered the time I spilled an espresso on your shirt in a parking garage."
He smiled. "Yeah, it wasn't quite as hot as this one."
I frowned. "Oh gosh, I'm so sorry is it painful? Crap, I'm so sorry," I apologized and dabbed a napkin on his face.
He grabbed my wrist and I realized that my face is so close to his.
I got sucked into his eyes once again and before I could do something I'd regret, I snapped out of it.
"Take these," I nervously said while handing the napkins to him.
For a minute, silence took over our table when he suddenly spoke.
"I'm Mario Nielsen," he extended a hand.
My heart skipped a beat. NOT because I am flustered but because I am panicking.
"My name is Marylyn Peters," I said without thinking and shook his hand.
Damn! I hope he does not see through my lie.
"Okay, so umm, can I have your number? If you want to or if you don't that's totally, umm, I mean, it's totally fine."
Once again, my jaw hanged to the floor. He's asking me for my number!
I feel my cheeks reddening, "How do I know you're not a real stalker?"
"For the last time, I wasn't stalking you! That incident on the building was really accidental and actually, be thankful I was there or you wouldn't be able to get home that night!"
"Oh yeah? Consider that as a means of apology since you almost scared me to death! And I don't need a ride from you anymore. My friend will pick me up."
He snorted, "The friend who did NOT appear that night. Well why don't you just drive yourself."
I glared at him, "First things first, I don't have a car on my own and second, I don't know how to drive-"
"Wait, you don't know how to drive?!"
"I just said that didn't I?"
"That's an invitation right there all right."
I shook my head in confusion, "Excuse me, what?"
"I'll teach you how to drive."
