Kat headed down the main street in downtown Gyropolis. It was Market Day, so there were tons of people outside. Mothers buying enough food to tide their families over for a few weeks, children running around, playing, teens and fathers collected into groups with their buddies, talking about heaven knows what. It was a rare day that she got a chance to come to Market Day, because Kat is one of the ones targeted by the PeaceKeepers. 

Generally, the guards wouldn't have let her into the area, for fear of a PeaceKeeper tail, but she told them she was leaving town and needed enough provisions to make it through the Flats, so they let her in. She suspected they felt sorry for her.

 The first stop was a weapon salesman. Kat would need a few good swords and daggers if she wanted to last more than five minutes out there. After much haggling, she managed to score two razor-sharp daggers, a few throwing knives, and a stronger-than-average shepherd's staff. Who knew? Maybe it would come in handy. Afterwards, she bought two months' worth of food, and some hair ties, because, well, why not? 

Kat left as quickly as she could, starting her journey north.

This is pretty much a filler chapter. 

EeveeGirl, I listened to that song you recommended in your music book, Preach to the Choir, and it is amazing! Thank you very much for mentioning it! 

(Oddly enough the song I was listening to right before that was Such Great Heights by Joy Kills Sorrow which is almost the exact opposite of Blacklite District's song.)

They're both awesome songs.

Anywho, there's a foot of water on the patio, the dog stole my bed, we're out of chocolate, and KenjiChan's nightcore version of Memories has begun playing. I will be freaking out now.
