I practically screamed "HALLELUJAH, PRAISE THE LORD" when the washer started because it would lock the door then unlock then lock again and then unlock—I assume you get the idea, right?

And I kinda slammed the washer door a few times before it ACTUALLY locked and load.

Get it?

Because it had to lock the door and load the laundry soap into it and—okay that one is actually quite weak. I'm sorry.

But you get the drift of it, right?

It's because sometimes I use words or references(ask JasTheDiamond for reference :p) that not a lot of people know because a lot of them are in the early 2000's or before the 2000's so that's why.

And because things that were popular in my time, aren't so popular now.

Like seriously!

Some children don't even know what a cassette is, what "hang up the phone" mean, or how to work a VHS, records, or even CDs!

CASSETTE

This is a cassette tape. 👆Used to be popular, now it's not.

A cassette player. 👆 You place the cassette in here and it plays the music.

This is what you have to do if the cassette gets all crab cakey.

"HANG UP THE PHONE"

"Hang up the phone" generally means to literally hang the phone up.

(Now there's probably more meanings, but we're sticking with this one.)

And you would hang the phone up by placing it back into its receiver(its spot), which is shown in the picture above. ☝️ And placing the phone in its receiver (hanging the phone up) would end the call.

Flip phones has the "hang up the phone" but it's different than the home phone(see the above picture ☝️for reference).

Instead of placing it in the receiver, you just slap the lid shut and it ends the call.

VHS

VHS tape. ☝️Use to be so popular...

Ugh. I hated when this happened! You would have to rewind it back in

A VHS player. ☝️What you put it in.

How it works:

You slide it in and basically push play.

I swear that I had the EXACT same one before we got rid of it.

Records

A record. ☝️What we used before CDs.

A record player. What you play a record on. You place the record on the record player and place the stick on the record and... well it plays.

CDs

CDs. ☝️Still around, but dying out.

CD player. ☝️

Another one. ☝️
