"What mission are you talking about?" Sasuke asked, exasperated. He had just come back from a draining journey, and the last thing he needed was another useless journey pioneered by the one and only Suigetsu.

Besides, he was irritated with the timing once again. It seemed like every time he took one step forward, Suigetsu was always there to block his path.

"You made Sachiki make some sort of paralysing shit right?" Suigetsu started his "proposal" with a question directed to Karin.

Karin's eyes drooped, "You make it sound like I forced her against her will or something, but yes. She asked me for a job."

"She's practically almost done with it, but she says there's one ingredient left-"

"And, let me guess-the ingredient is far away and so we need to go on a mission to retrieve it."

"Yep, pretty much." Suigetsu shrugged. Sachiki stared at him weirdly, wondering how bored he had to be to agree to this.

Karin wanted to groan aloud. At long last, she was getting alone time with Sasuke, learning more about him and slowly closing the distance that was between them, and it was at this crucial time that something had to come up.

She didn't want to go on a mission.

"Come on! Don't give me that face. Team Taka hasn't done much in a while."

"It wasn't more than a week ago when you spontaneously decided you wanted a new sword, which, by the way, you don't even carry around much anymore." Sasuke blankly pointed out, raining on Suigetsu's parade even more.

"This isn't for me. It's for Karin and Sachiki." He whined back.

Sasuke asked, "Karin, do you want to go on a mission?"

"No."

Sasuke gave Suigetsu a pointed look, which made the water style user flay his hands about in frustration.

All the while, Sachiki kept quiet, observing everyone and how they interacted. It was different from how the people of The Wind spoke. Everyone had guards up and walked on eggshells when speaking to each other, trying not to overstep boundaries.

Team Taka didn't have any boundaries, and she wasn't sure what to think of it.

Sachiki bit her lip, contemplating on whether she should speak or not.

"Sachiki, back me up here. I'm dying."

That was her cue. "I want to finish my first task, Karin sama." It wasn't a lie. She was genuinely looking forward to finishing it and starting a new project.

Karin sighed. How could she refuse a young scientist? As a matter of fact, if she weren't so irritated about the poor timing, she would love to go on a mission to retrieve an ingredient.

"Where are we getting this final piece?"

Sachiki's eyes lit up. "The Hidden Mist."

She recoiled when Karin's expression darkened a little.

"No."

Sachiki blinked, surprised by the outright rejection she just got.

"Wait, but.." Sachiki protested. "I won't be able to make it if we don't get that final ingredient. And there's no way-"

Karin glared at the young girl, causing her to clamp her mouth shut. Heila, who had made a sudden appearance near Sachiki, laughed in amusement.

Everyone was shocked at the sudden change of emotion from Karin, just at the mention of the Hidden Mist. Sasuke knitted his brows, he knew she was abused by a village at one point, but he was sure it wasn't by any of the Great Five.

Then understanding dawned, and he knew why she was so adamantly against it.

'Karin', he thought. 'You're...'

"I said no. On no condition, do we ever expose our discoveries and creations to any village. Orichimaru and I will never allow it." Karin turned to the sword boy, who flinched under her ice cold gaze. "Suigetsu. You knew this, so why did you not turn her down in the first place?!"

Suigetsu stepped back, hiding behind Juugo, "I didn't know it was that serious! I'm sorry!"

Karin clenched her fist, "I will find another way to complete the potion, so you may cease whatever plans you had to go to the Hidden Mist, Sachiki."

Heila scratched her head, "Okay? It kind of sounds like Karin has a thing against the Mist? Or villages in general? But..."

"Why?" Sachiki frowned. "I don't get it, what's so wrong about going to the Mist to get an ingredient? Aren't people in the Great Villages nicer now due to the Fourth Great Shinobi War?"

Sasuke raised a brow as Karin scoffed. "Nice my ass. If we go to the Hidden Mist to request for a test subject for our research, they're going to want something in return. My precious creations, use of our kekkei genkai, the test subjects here-you name it. I do not want that village especially to have any knowledge of what goes on in this Hideout."

Juugo frowned as he realised a side to Karin he had never known before. He asked, "But won't they use it to help their people?" He truly didn't believe what came out of his mouth, but he wanted to see what Karin believed.

Team Taka was more alike than he realised, and it was slowly beginning to show.

"Maybe. But they'll also use it to hurt people." Karin stared at the tile lines on the floor. Sasuke paid attention to the way she gripped her arm like a vice, as if trying to control the demons of the past within her.

"Alright, Karin sama." Sachiki slumped in disappointment. She really wanted to travel. The woman of her delusions, Heila, ahhed in understanding.

"Karin is scared of villages."

Sachiki stared at the red haired woman, "Just like you, Heila." Her voice was so low, everyone thought she huffed.

Sachiki's disappointment made Suigetsu feel uneasy. So he piped up. "I can go get the last ingredient myself."

Sasuke disagreed, supporting Karin's decision though he didn't understand it. "No. The Mist will ask-"

"Not from the Mist." Suigetsu shuddered at the proposal that was coming out from his mouth. "She mentioned another option, and the guy is a rogue so no villages involved. I'll have to extract his, erm, semen."

It took a whole minute for everyone to understand what he meant.

"HUH? YOU MEAN THE PENIS NINJA?!" Karin wanted to hurl.

"Suigetsu, please no."

"That's disgusting."

"You really don't have to, Suigetsu." Sachiki shook her head quickly.

Suigetsu waved his hands in the air, "It'll be a piece of cake. Just find the Penis ninja, fight him, and then... er.."

"Jack his dick?"

Juugo sighed, "Sasuke, please, there's a child here."

"Hey! I'm 15, for your information!"

"I'm not going to jack him off! I'll just.. oh my fucking god, I have to jack him off."

Juugo patted his friend, "You know you have a say in this matter? No is always an option."

"I think it's a good idea." Sasuke shrugged, the initial horror of the whole situation fading.

"Well, if Sasuke agrees with it, then I shall agree as well." Juugo gave Suigetsu one last pat, switching sides faster than the speed of light. "Goodluck."

A tear slipped from Suigetsu's eye, "Betrayed by my own comrades. I will avenge you all for this."

Karin rolled her eyes. "You literally said you wanted to do this five seconds ago."

"Suigetsu senpai, don't do this. You are worth so much more."

"Let him do it," Karin crossed her arms, snickering. "It's probably the most action he'll ever get. Ever."

"I hate you all."

Sachiki glared at Heila, who was doubling over in laughter. "This is too good! Can you tell him the only way to extract the poison is by sucking? I would pay cash to see that!"

The dark skinned girl face palmed, wanting to punch her perverted lover in the face.

"You really don't have to do this, Suigetsu." Sachiki felt bad. He had no reason to be doing what he was doing. At the same time, suspicion nagged at her soul. Did he have a reason?

Suigetsu pat the young girl's head, "Of course I don't have to do this. But now everyone's on my fucking case because I was stupid enough to offer without realising the... consequences."

"Why won't he just admit he's gay?" Karin whispered to Juugo.

"Suigetsu. Get going. Juugo, Sachiki, follow him." Sasuke ordered.

"She's like, 5." Karin frowned, "I don't think five year olds are meant to see penises."

"I'M 15!"

Sasuke ignored Karin and stared at Suigetsu pointedly, waiting for him to start moving.

Suigetsu could cry, "Okay... I'll go. Fuck you all."

"And I will accompany you. But I will not touch a rogue shinobi's penis."

Suigetsu glared at Juugo.

Juugo tried to hide his smirk. Even cock blocking Suigetsu was oblivious to the obvious that stared them all in the face.

Sasuke wanted to be with Karin alone.

The three of them set off on a long journey at dawn, waving Karin and Sasuke goodbye. Except Suigetsu, who gave the two the finger, still incredibly and shockingly oblivious.

Juugo smiled.

Time was beginning to tell.
