Y/N POV

I awoke slowly with a dizzy feeling in my head. The last thing I remembered was me and Ada battling Saddler. We thought we had defeated him however he just got back up and knocked Ada out, he must have done the same to me somehow.

I didn't even need to open my eyes to realize that my hands were bound tightly behind me with rope and I seemed to be hanging in the air. Though when I did open them, I couldn't fight the glare that I showed.

Ada was opposite, in the same predicament as me though she was still unconscious. I also looked down to see Saddler staring up at us with a smirk. Upon noticing me staring back at him, he smirked and said "Good, you're finally awake."

I stared down at him and spat "Why did you leave us alive?! You could have killed us." Saddler just responded "Oh indeed, it would have been so easy. But I have something special planned for the two of you." I asked curiously "And what is that?" I just needed to stall him while I worked on getting out of the ropes.

Saddler answered "Once of have dealt with that American puppet Leon, I shall infect both of you with my very special gift. Once injected with Las Plagas, it will only be a matter of time for the eggs to hatch and for you to become my devoted puppets."

I grinned myself when I was finally out of it though I didn't make it known yet as I said "Well I must admit, you've thought this out quite well. Though you shouldn't have underestimated me." Saddler looked confused until I tore through the ropes and landed back on the ground.

Getting to my feet, I reached for my weapons but I growled when I realized Saddler had taken everything except my handgun, Hookshot and knife. Nevertheless I aimed my handgun at him getting a simply laugh in response followed by arrogant speech.

"Mr Wesker, you think you can take me down alone? I have have no doubts in your abilities. But you are a fool to think you can stand in my way." I just kept glaring, clicking the Samurai Edge handgun.

Suddenly though we heard the elevator going up behind me. Turning around, I was surprised to see Leon standing there. He rushed out upon seeing us and called out "Ada! Y/N!" However his attention soon turned to Saddler who extended his hand out in front of him.

I didn't know what he was doing but when nothing happened he let out a surprised yet angry noise. Even more so when Leon raised Krauser's knife and said "Better try a new trick because that one's getting old." He then threw the knife, cutting Ada's rope and causing her to land on a cushioned surface under her.

Leon turned to her and asked "You okay?" Ada just responded "I've been better." He then turned to me and said "What about you?" I said "Hanging in there." Leon smiled and said "By the way, I got something for you. You could use an upgrade in firepower."

I handed something to me and I was surprised to see that it was a Killer7 magnum. An extremely dangerous weapon. I took it and grinned, briefly nodding in thanks before putting my handgun away and instead aiming my new weapon at Saddler.

We were interrupted by Saddler laughing. Leon turned to him and asked "What's so funny?" To which he responded "Oh I think you know. The American prevailing is a cliché that only happens in your Hollywood movies. Oh Mr Kennedy, you entertain me. To show you my appreciation, I will help you awaken from your world of clichés."

His mouth then opened, revealing that massive eye as his body began to mutate. Leon ordered "Ada, Y/N stay back." We both used our Hookshots to grapple out of range as Saddler mutated into a large giant spider-like creature.

Me and Ada landed on a series of walkways that surrounded the strange structure. We looked around as Leon used whatever weapons were in his arsenal to fend off the newly-mutated Saddler.

Ada suddenly tapped me and said "Y/N over there!" I looked to where she was pointing and saw a rocket launcher lying on a box with a unique red rocket on the end. I nodded and said "You get to that. I'll help Leon." She nodded and we split up one last time.

I jumped back down onto the platform and pulled out the new Killer7. I wasted no time firing a shot at one of the eyeballs on Saddler's legs. Meanwhile Leon ran to another platform with a lever on it. He pulled the lever and a series of girders fell on Saddler, causing him to fall over temporarily.

In this moment of vulnerability, we both fired at Saddler's eyes drawing that familiar yellow liquid. I assumed Las Plagas had contaminated Saddler's blood hence the strange colour.

Eventually, Saddler got back to his feet and attempted to swipe at us with his sharp legs. However his attacks were just big and clumsy, making them easy to dodge. We were able to temporarily down him again, allowing us to go all out shooting at the eyes on his legs and in his mouth.

After a brutal battle, we suddenly heard Ada yell "Use this!" She then threw the rocket launcher towards Leon, it landed on the ground right in front of him. I remained battling Saddler, I grabbed one of his legs and pulled it further into the ground, raising my new gun and blasting the eye yet again.

I kept evading Saddler's increasingly clumsy attacks until I heard Leon yell "Y/N MOVE!" I leapt out of the way as he fired the rocket launcher. The red missile shot out and travelled towards Saddler, before impacting him directly in his main eye.

There was a massive explosion that caused Saddler to let out a loud roar before collapsing to the ground, finally dead. I let out a sigh of relief, out of all the creatures I had encountered in my lifetime, Saddler was arguably the most difficult.

Once that was done, I turned my attention to Leon as I noticed him bend over and pick up the Las Plagas sample off the ground. Ada leapt back down to us and we both walked over, pointing our guns at his head as Ada said "Sorry Leon, hand it over."

Leon slowly stood up and gave it to us saying "Ada, Y/N, you both know what this is right?" Ada just let out a faint "Hmm." As I said "Of course, why do you think we would want it?" 

As if on cue, we heard the sound of our extraction helicopter. Leon was distracted by the noise and me and Ada took this chance to run away and we both leapt off the edge of the platform. Sure enough, we found the helicopter waiting for us.

The helicopter flew back up as we saw Leon looking at us in shock. Ada held the sample up and teased "Don't worry, we'll take good care of it." Leon yelled "ADA!" I simply pulled out a detonator and pressed the button before turning to Leon saying "You'd best get a move on, this island is set to blow in a few minutes." Ada tossed him some keys to a spare jet-ski she apparently found. We then bid him a final farewell as the helicopter flew away.

As we left the island behind, Ada placed the sample in a briefcase and sealed it. She then turned to me and said "Well, that was something wasn't it?" I laughed and said "Tell me about it." To my surprise, I felt her gently place her hand on mine.

We just stared at one another for a moment until we slowly inched closer and our lips connected in a kiss. In our line of work, it wasn't ideal to go flaunting your affection out in public, so this was a rare opportunity where me and Ada could be more than just business partners.

Our little moment was interrupted when we pulled away and Ada asked "If you don't mind me asking, what does your brother even want with Las Plagas?" I sighed to myself and thought for a moment before answering "I have no idea."

It was true, Albert had never told me why he wanted samples of all these viruses and parasites. First the G-Virus, then the T-Veronica Virus and now Las Plagas. What exactly was his plan? Something told me there was more going on here than I realized...
