Y/N POV

I followed Ada in my helicopter until we reached the roof of the gigantic skyscraper. As this was happened, I thought about the events that had occurred in recent times. Both Carla and Simmons had left a lot of destruction in their wake, the zombies that now swarmed the streets were proof enough of that.

Speaking of zombies, upon our arrival on the roof, we found it SWARMED with them as they desperately chased a few survivors around. Ada contacted me through the helicopter's communicator and said "Maybe we can at least buy these people some time."

I shrugged and responded "Fine with me, we'll need to get rid of these B.O.Ws anyway if we want to land." With that, we both opened fire, using the miniguns mounted on helicopters to shred through the zombies like a mower through grass.

By this point in my long journey, I'd fought many B.O.Ws, some of which proved difficult even WITH my abilities namely, that Nemesis, Saddler and even both Albert and Alex. Of course, the only time I had trouble with zombies was in the Arklay Mountains, before my virus even showed itself. So it didn't take us long for us to mow down all of them.

With that out of the way, me and Ada noticed there was only one helipad, this wasn't too difficult as we took a gamble. Rather than either of us just parking in the centre of it, we each parked on either side of the pad, so that we could both take off again without any trouble.

After disembarking, Ada revealed a ROCKET LAUNCHER from the back and leant it against her helicopter. I just stared and asked "Where did you get that from?!" Ada just said "It was in the back. I'll leave it as a little gift for Leon.

I then asked "So, why are we up here? Aside from Simmons." Ada replied "I want to eliminate all traces of the theft of my identity. Carla may be dead, but I want there to be nothing left of her when we're done. Now, lets go."

Me and Ada headed off the helipad, we used our Hookshots to grapple across to another part of the roof. We traversed the sky-high terrain until at last we came to a door leading inside. We ran through the building until we came across something that made us stop in our tracks.

Out of a window, we saw an explosion on another part of the building, a lift was flung off its hinges, attacked only by a singular cord. Inside said lift were Leon and Helena! Luckily for them, they leapt out just as the cord snapped and the lift fell.

Ada just smirked next to me and commented "Leon, ever the survivor. Oh well, no rest for the weary." That's when there was yet another explosion, this one though was right next to us! Looking through it, we saw a convenient lift heading down. I stated "Well that works."

Leaping on top of it, it headed down and it was here that we both noticed SIMMONS! He stood on a glass walkway connecting this building to another. Upon noticing us, he yelled "ADA! I snapped "God damnit! Won't this pathetic excuse of a man just stay dead already?!" Ada laughed at my remark and stated "Back for more? You really are a glutton for punishment."

We both aimed our sniper rifles and began shooting precise rounds at him. With a roar, he transformed once again, contorting his body into a NEW shape. Instead of resembling a dinosaur, this time he took the form what I could only describe as a centaur-like creature.

He began firing needles at us which seemed to be made from his own bones! We did our best to evade the projectiles however one of them hit the lift's cord, causing it to fall. We both used our Hookshots to escape it though, landing on the walkway right in front of Simmons.

Turning to us, Simmons growled out in a distorted voice "Ada, welcome back!" Turning his attention towards me, he stated "So, you must be Y/N Wesker. I was wondering if I'd ever get the chance to meet you." I retorted "Yes, and I'll be one of the last faces you'll ever see."

Simmons just laughed before charging at us both. We just about managed to dodge his attack and as he turned back to us, he began ranting in a clearly dazed tone "You've finally come back to me. You and I, we're destined to be together."

I grimaced at his comment. In the end, Simmons was nothing more than a creep with a sick obsession with Ada, even if I didn't have feelings for her, I'd still be disgusted by his sole motivation being summed up with the phrase, "If I can't have her, no one can."

Both me and Ada drew our weapons, Ada started with her crossbow, loaded with explosive rounds, I used my Killer7 magnum. While it worked well on Saddler years ago, Simmons seemed far more durable and difficult to take down.

Simmons charged at us again however this time I heard him yell "I knew it was a mistake making you!  I made you! That means you must obey me!" In his rage-filled state, he must have still been convinced that this was Carla. And his delusional rant only made me want to kill him all the more.

Ada also seemed to have grown tired of his tantrum as she coldly declared "Let's get this straight, I'm not your little doll Simmons. In fact, the only thing I have in common with her is hatred for you."

It was at this point, that Leon and Helena leapt onto the walkway adjacent to us and began providing cover fire. Ada joked "Appreciate the gesture, but I'm a big girl." She then added "I can handle this one alone Leon."

I raised an eyebrow asking "Does that include me?" Ada didn't look at me, instead focusing purely on shooting at Simmons, however she replied "Ideally, I'd tell you to leave. But I know you wouldn't listen to me." I smirked and said "You got that right." Ada smiled and said "Thank you Y/N."

We continued pelting Simmons with bullets as he STILL remained delusional, mistaking Ada for Carla as he mumbled "Why aren't you obeying me?" You're my masterpiece, my beautiful CREATION!"

After taking several hits, he was forced back to his humanoid form which rendered him vulnerable. This time, it was Ada who tackled him to the ground and began relentlessly punching him.

This didn't last long as he soon morphed once again and we were forced to defend, I knew my enhanced strength wouldn't be enough against this guy. All I could do was rely on my Killer7, which was by far the most effective gun in my current arsenal.

Eventually the walkway we were on began to crumble, causing both me and Ada to grapple onto another one. Here we found even more zombies, they were dealt with without a single shot. Little did we know, as we were distracted fending off the undead, Simmons had caught up to us by climbing up the side of the building.

He lunged at us, managing to knock both of us to the ground. Leon yelled "Ada! Y/N!" I was just about able to get back to my feet and placed the Killer7 back in its holster. I glared at Simmons and cracked my knuckles.

In a rage of my own, I dashed forward and performed a palm-thrust to the fleshy centre of Simmons' torso. I was able to push him back, however due to his own durability and his clawed feet, he soon regained his composure and went in for another charge. 

I dashed at him as well and tried to land another heavy strike. I jumped a bit and kicked the same place. I wasted no time following up with a punch and directly after that, an uppercut! This combo proved enough to knock Simmons onto his mutated back.

He briefly reverted back to his human form and I grabbed him by the throat, dragging him up to his knees. I spat at him venomously "Don't you DARE lay another finger on her! Do you understand me?!"

I didn't even give him chance to respond as I delivered a punch to his face causing him to gag painfully. I performed another, and another, and ANOTHER. I think I did about five consecutive punches before Simmons finally lashed out.

The next thing I knew, before he even fully mutated, the sharp tail sprouted from his back and struck me across the chest. I was sent flying and landed on the other end of the walkway, I rolled for a second before coming to a stop on my stomach.

Once I looked up, I saw Simmons once again, mutated. I then noticed Leon knelt by Ada's side, checking if she was alright. Simmons exclaimed "Get away from her Leon! You're not half the man she needs!"

He slowly began approaching murmuring "Come with me my love, we'll be together, forever." Leon retorted "Not if I can help it!" Before drawing his handgun and firing several rounds that had next to no effect.

I got to my feet and slowly approached. I drew both my Samurai Edge and Killer7, firing every round I had in both guns towards Simmons. I knelt down near her and said "If you're really Ada, I know you can pull through this." Leon agreed and said "Exactly. All of us can."

With a roar, Simmons fired several spikes from his body towards us. Leon was about to shield Ada, however I beat him to it. Getting in front of both of them as countless spikes stabbed into my body, doing surprisingly little damage.

Still, the sheer number of them, caused my to drop to my knees again once he was done, catch my breath before standing up yet again. I then heard a gasp come from Ada, turning around, I saw her open her eyes, much to my relief.

She instantly played it off, saying "I was just resting my eyes." Leon joked "Shouldn't sleep on the job." She got back to her feet and all three of us began shooting away. And it was at this point that Leon addressed ME, saying "Y/N, I need to tell you something."

I initially dismissed his statement, saying "Can this wait? In case you haven't noticed, we're quite busy at the moment." What Leon said next, caught me off guard and while it didn't make me lose focus in the current battle, it did draw my attention. "It's about your nephew Jake!"

I froze and instantly said "Go on. What about him?" Leon explained "Him and Sherry both got captured, they're being held at some oil field not too far from here. Chris has gone to rescue them though." This triggered something for me.

I snapped "Right, once this is done, I'm going after them. Let's get this over with." Our conversation was cut short as Simmons dived forward, hitting Leon head-on and causing him to nearly fall from the walkway.

He was just about able to hang on for deer life. Simmons reverted back to his human form for one final time as he slowly approached Leon. He raised his foot, stamping on Leon's fingers and causing him to grunt in pain.

He spat "Do you want to live? Then beg! Beg for your life!" He continued to stamp on Leon's hand and that was when I finally acted. I slowly approached the unsuspecting Simmons until I was stood right behind him, I then muttered. "This time I will make you wish you were dead."

I reached out, stuck my fingers into one of the cracks and began violently tearing at it!

Simmons let out a bloodcurdling cry of pain as I pulled two chunks of his skin away from one another. I had never felt so much bloodlust for someone before in my life, even Jill. Simmons had been driven mad by his obsession for Ada, he had created a clone of her to serve his twisted ambition and finally he could have KILLED her. Chris, Jill, my hatred for them paled compared to what I felt towards Simmons in that frenzied split second.

Ada cut my temporary break from reality short when she also stepped forward, saying "You can't always get what you want Simmons." She revealed a knife and stabbed him in the side. All three of us were then flung off the walkway, it really was like Raccoon City, when me and Ada fell from the walkway in Umbrella's laboratory. 

Simmons crying out "NOOOOO!" Ada muttered "Let's call this closure, you really should have moved on Simmons." We both then used our Hookshots to escape, leaving Simmons to fall into the flames below all alone.

Me and Ada landed on a different walkway, directly across from the one Leon stood on. He just stood there, staring at us intensely. I couldn't help the smirk spreading across my face. Ada pulled out her communicator, briefly looked at it before turning to Leon as well and grinning.

Ada then commented "You're really confused by all this aren't you Leon? It's kind of fun to watch." I added "He's certainly come a long way from the rookie cop we met in Raccoon City Police Station." Ada let out a faint "Hmm." Before adding "I guess you could also say we changed since back then too. Now, we need to go. There's still one final order of business."

I didn't follow her though and instead simply said "Ada." She stopped and looked at me confused. I answered "I can't come with you. Leon told me that my nephew was captured and gave me the location, I've got to go find him before-."

Ada cut me off as she stepped forward and now we stood directly in front of one another. She sighed and said "You don't need to explain anything. I completely understand. If I was in your situation I'd do the same thing."

A smile spread across her face as she reached up and cupped my right cheek in her left hand. "To think, I would end up falling for a Wesker of all people. I guess this world is full of surprises." And for the first time in years, she reached up and our lips came into contact.

The last time we'd shared a kiss like this was after the battle with Saddler. In fact before the submarine, that had been the last time we'd seen each other at all! Between working for Albert and running from the BSAA, I'd been far too occupied.

We pulled away from one another and for a moment, just stared at one another in silence. We shared a smile before  Ada said "Good luck. I hope everything works out for you." She then turned and walked away.

I sighed, it was finally time for the final parts of this adventure. And now I would finally get the chance to atone for my past sins...
