DEAN
Cyd and Shelby stepped away, leaving Dean alone with Gordon. Ezra stirred and looked over at his father. Wounds presented itself all over Ezra's face and arms. In fact, he was exhausted. Gordon stood by Ezra, placing the angel blade by his neck.
"Get away from my son, you bastard!" Dean exclaimed, cocking the gun with bullets. "How did you come back? You're dead,"
"You don't recall a few years ago? That Eliza girl? Before you defeated her, she pulled one last card and brought me back, told me you and your brother were going to have children and I thought that if that was the case, I should probably find out myself." As if registering what happened, Dean thought about the incident with Eliza. He did not want to deal with another monster that Eliza created. Dean broke free from the memory to find Gordon attacking him with a dagger. Dean fought back, disarming him and knocking the corrupted hunter into a table. Out of the corner of his eye, Dean saw Shelby and Cyd rescuing Ezra. Gordon got up from the destroyed table and swung a blade, forcing Dean to evade and stop Gordon from cutting him in the stomach. They freed Ezra as he yelled at Gordon.
"Hey!" Ezra yelled Gordon turned and suddenly forced the hunter against the wall. "You are really getting on my nerves!" Gordon once again broke free and as he was about to fight back, his eyes landed on Cyd and Shelby, who were currently helping Dean stand up. Dean saw Gordon pull out a gun and shot at the girls, Dean yelled and as he was about to save them Diesel turned back into a dog and jumped in front of Cyd's face, taking a bullet for her. He collapsed on the floor, blood pooling out from his wound.
"Diesel!" Cyd exclaimed in a panic as she raced over to her dog. Ezra grew angry and attacked Gordon yet again, only this time there was a fight to disarm him. Dean knew his son couldn't take Gordon on himself and helped. He shot Gordon in the head with his own gun, blood splattered against the wall as his limp body collapsed on the floor. Cyd ran over to Diesel, who was in pain. He turned human and held onto the wound, attempting to stop it from bleeding. Cyd and Shelby kneeled by Diesel, shocked. "Diesel?"
"This is not possible," Shelby answered.
"It is, but Diesel will be fine," Ezra said. "The bullets weren't silver so he can't die," Dean wanted to say something, but the look on Cyd's face said something else. Dean felt sympathy for her and made his way over. "Dad? What are you doing?"
"I just wanted to know if you and the girls were okay," Dean answered. Cyd smiled.
"Yeah, he saved me," Cyd answered. Dean remained quiet, noticing that not all monsters were evil.
"Come on Ezra," Dean said. "Let's get these friends home," Ezra hugged his father tightly. Dean was not prepared for Ezra to hug him. Not after everything they've been through. They helped the girls and Diesel back to the impala, where they brought the trio home. Diesel healed and turned back to a dog. Waiting outside, Dean watched as Ezra brought the girls to the front door. It was early evening and Dean couldn't wait to go back home. He watched Ezra drop the girls off and when he looked, he saw his son kiss Cyd on the forehead. A smile appeared on his face as his son got back into the impala.
"What was that?" Dean asked.
"What?" Ezra said.
"That kiss I saw," Dean responded.
"I don't know what you're talking about, dad," Ezra said. "I'm just ready to go home." Dean laughed, knowing that Ezra had somewhat of a crush on Cyd but didn't bring it up considering he saw a mark on his son's hand. It was in the shape of angel wings, or what was becoming angel wings. Not willing to ask anymore questions, Ezra and Dean drove away, heading back to Lebanon, Kansas.
