Rose's POV

Alex and I were having a nice peaceful time holding each other's hand with our feet in the water. Sadly the peace and quiet was shattered by the sound of twigs snapping and the bushes near us rustling. Alex shot up like a bullet pulling me up with him, and he pulled me behind him to protect me. He crouched down into a fighting stance ready to attack the person in the bushes the moment he took one step into the clearing to announce his presence to us.

The man's presence was quickly made known to us when he stumbled out of the bushes, rather ungracefully might I add, and landed face first on the ground. He entrance looked so comical like that I couldn't help small giggle that escaped my lips. He quickly got up and nonchalantly brushed the dirt and leaves off his clothes, and pulled out the twigs that were stuck in his hair like nothing ever happened, but the embarrassed look on his face told us otherwise. The man was a vampire and he turned out to be non other than my little brother Milo. I felt relieve and happiness upon seeing him.

"Hi guys." Milo said while trying to hide his embarrassment because of his epic failure of an entrance.

"Milo!" I yelled out.

"What are you doing here and how did you find Alex's territory?"

My relief and happiness soon turned to anger because Milo slipped out of the house to come here and he shouldn't be here at all.

"Milo you shouldn't have slipped out of the house to find me, and you shouldn't have come here in the first place. You most likely would have been killed on the spot if Alex's pack discovered your intrusion onto their territory because they are very wary of vampires entering their lands, especially unannounced, after being attacked by an army of vampires that father sent recently. You need to go home Milo so mom and dad don't have to worry about you too because they are already worrying about me. Don't tell anyone that you found me and do not reveal the location of Alex's territory because dad doesn't know where Alex's lands are. The army he sent found Alex's territory purely by sheer luck. Please don't worry about me I'll be fine here." I told him.

"Alright Rose I'll go home. I snuck out to find you because when we learned you were missing I feared the worst happened to you, so I wanted to find you to make sure you were okay. I can see that Alex cares very much for you and that he will take very good care of you. Goodbye Rose. Alexander please treat my big sis well or you'll have me to deal with." Milo said.

"I appreciate your concern for me Milo. Please be careful and have a safe trip home."

I gave him a hug before he left. He smiled and waved goodbye to us before turning around and leaving. I was sad to see him leave but he had to go home before mom and dad had a major freak out because two of their children were missing. With our peaceful evening cut short we decided to just go back to his room and cuddle on his bed together while we watched Netflix. I was holding back tears the entire way back to his room.

When we finally got back to his room I couldn't hold the tears in any longer, and I started to sob in my hands. Alex pulled me into a hug and sat us on the bed. I bunched the front of his shirt in my hands and sobbed into his chest. He stroked my hair and rubbed my back while wispering soothing words to me. Half an hour passed before I was done crying. The front of his blue shirt was soaked through and stained with the salt from my tears.

I looked up at Alex and gave him a sheepish grin.

"I'm sorry for soaking your shirt and ruining it with my tears."

He gave me a crooked smile that sent my heart fluttering in my chest and made me lose my breath, and then he said;

"Its ok my beautiful Rose I have other shirts. Can you please tell me why you were crying baby?"

I stared into his eyes. I was hesitant to tell him what was wrong because I didn't want him to worry about me. He already has his pack to worry about, so he doesn't need to worry about me too I reasoned with myself.

"It's not a big deal Alex. You don't need to worry about it," I lied.

I looked down at the bed and started picking at the blanket with my fingers. He instantly saw through my lie. He cupped my cheeks with his large, rough, and calloused hands, and gently lifted my face to his. He stared intensly into my eyes and rubbed my cheeks in a soothing circular motion with his thumbs. I was unable to look away because his hands were holding my head in place, so I relaxed into his chest and waited for him to speak.

"Rose please don't try to act tough by attempting to deal with what's eating at you in your own. Please tell me the truth about what's troubling you so I can help you. As your mate it's my job to worry about you and take care of you. I would go to the ends of the earth to help you and to get yo whatever you needed or wanted. Your happiness and well-being are my concern now. I would lay down ny life for you if neccesary to protect you," he told me.

"Alright, alright. I promise to tell you what's wrong if you promise to stop being cheesy," I told him.

He gave me a big grin and agreed to stop being cheesy. I gave him a small smile in return before telling him what was wrong.

"Well you see Alex I've been very stressed ever since I got here. My father sending an army to get me, escaping twice, and your pack's ovious hatred for me that they were all too willing to show me when I went to dinner earlier today, has added to the stress I'm already feeling right now. I don't think I can take anymore of this without exploding or breaking down into a sobbing, blubbering mess for several days. I'm worried about my family, and I'm worried about us. My father will do everything in his power to separate us, and I don't think I can stand being separated from you now," I told him.

"Hush now Rose. I won't let anyone take you away from me.  You are my beautiful Rose and no one else's. As for my pack they will come around to you eventually you just have to give them time. After all I eventually came to like and accept you and its safe to say I hated vampires, especially your family, more than any other werewolf in the world because I'm the king of the werewolves. Like I said before we will face whatever comes together no matter what comes at us, be it an army or your father," Alex said to me.

Fair warning a PG-13 kissing scene will happen now. If you don't like that stuff I don't know what to tell you besides sorry. You have been warned. Don't comment or message me a complant about the scene because you were warned.

He let go of my face and put his hands around my waist. I put my arms around his neck and hugged him. I then kissed him passionantly and he immediately kissed me back just as passionantly. It soon turned into a heated make-out session with me somehow ending up in his lap during this little session of ours.

Alex licked ny bottom lip asking for entrance and this time instead of denying him I allowed him entrance to my mouth. Our tongues battled for dominance and he won. He completely explored my mouth not letting an inch of it go undiscovered. I have never felt this much pleasure before in my entire life. I tugged on the bottom of his shirt and he took it off for me. My body and brain felt disconnected, and I felt my hands travel on their own up his chest to feel all his muscles, and boy was he ripped. I broke the kiss quickly before we got to far to stop ourselves from doing anything we would regret later.

"I'm sorry for breaking the kiss baby, but we needed to stop before we did something we would regret," I told Alex.

He nodded and let go of my waist. I got off his lap and went to the closet to get some pajamas. I then went to the bathroom to take a quick shower. When I got out of the shower I saw that Alex had already changed and was just waiting for me to come to bed because it was already after midnight. I got into bed and curled up on his chest, and he pulled the covers over us and turned off the light.
