The Werewolf in the Woods...11

Chapter 11

Third-Person's POV

Amaris sighed as he went back to his cabin alone. Loren was being a little protective again and told Cqarina that she wasn't able to stay with him tonight.

As Amaris got his key out, he thought of his mother and father. They were both dead, and it was all because they were both too naïve to figure out that they were both still alive.

If you're mated, you have a bond. You can feel that your mate is still alive. You can feel their beating heart, and know that they are longing for you, waiting for you as well.

If they were really mates, they would have known the bond. Even Amaris knew about the bond. Cqarina was his everything even though they met not too long ago. That was the instant connection they had when he first smelled her exquisite scent in the doorway, and he locked eyes with the most beautiful girl he had ever seen.

Amaris got in and headed for the shower. He stripped off his clothes, and turned the water on hot. Stepping in, he allowed his mind to wonder about his parents.

He never met his dad, but he has heard the great stories about him. Carnell Edward Wolfe was his name. He had brown eyes and brown hair; with thick, dark lashes and broad shoulders. He was strong and fast like the Alpha he was. He had a specific scent to him; it was an odd scent, but no one really mind.

One would say Amaris and Carnell could have been twins.

Amaris snorted and grabbed the Axe Body Wash for men. If his stupid father would have even known that his mate was pregnant, none of this nonsense and shit about not meeting his father would have happened!

Angry now, Amaris scrubbed himself clean and washed his hair. He rinsed off and turned the water off, snatching a towel from the hook. He wrapped it around his waist and shook out his hair.

His reflection from the corner of his eyes stopped him short. He looked into the mirror , and the first thing he saw was the birth mark in the shape of an X on his left pectoral muscle. It was the same one like his father's. Figures.

He stepped out of the door, the blast of cold air hitting him in the face. He padded over to his closet to look for something when he caught the scent of strawberries and melons.

"Well, don't you look scrumptious?" he heard an angelic voice say.

Smiling, he turned to his mate, Cqarina, sitting on the bed. With her legs crossed and dark hair in waves around her body, her eyes shining bight, and they beautiful smile on her face, she looked like she belonged on the bed.

"How did you get in?" Amaris asked.

She held up a key. "I took Loren's set of keys." She shrugged like it was no big deal.

     "He let you out?"

     "Uh, sort of....." She giggled.

A husky laugh came out of Amaris and he padded over to her. She saw her eyes lock onto his chest. She looked at his abs and his muscles then did a head-to-toe flick.

"Want me to put some clothes on--" Amaris started.

She shook her head. "Not at all," she said on a dreamy sigh.

The next thing she did surprised Amaris; she stood up and wrapped her arms around his neck, stepping on her tip-toes and kissed him. He felt the instant spark go between them and he shuddered.

He kissed her back, despise how shocked he was, and he wrapped his arms around her waist. "You okay?" he tried to say.

"Shh. Don't talk." She kissed him harder and he sighed, kissing her back just as hard. She started backing him up to the bed, and when he sat down, she crawled on top of him, straddling him.

Amaris growled into her mouth and instantly got an erection. Cqarina didn't seem to mind that he was only in a towel and could probably feel the throbbing thing poking her.

He ran his hands up and down her body and stopped kissing her for a moment to trail kisses down her jaw and throat. A small moan escaped her mouth and she tilted her neck as in invitation.

His control snapped. His canines longed and he kissed on her shoulder and sucked on it, leaving several hickies.

"What are you doing?" He heard the smile in her voice.

Amaris' eyes flared. "Leaving my mark," he said huskily and bit into her skin, hearing Cqarina's soft cry.

Loren's POV

I frowned. "She totally did not leave..." I stare into her empty room and open window. Her posters were scattered from the wind blowing. Her bed was made like it hasn't been touched, and the lights were on.

I sighed and shut her window, putting her posters back. I turned off the light and stuff my hands in my pockets. I already know where she went. No doubt it was to Amaris' cabin.

No wonder why I couldn't find the keys!

"Of course, she leaves and goes to Amaris' house. I'm not even surprised.." I mumbled to myself.

"It's that mate connection, Loren," I heard his mate's voice say.

I turned to her and there she was, standing in the doorway like an angel. My angel. "Like the one we have?" I wrap my arms around her and smiled.

"Exactly." She pecked my lips. "Now stop being such a douche and come downstairs with the rest of us." She took my hand led me downstairs.

"He's back!" I heard Brad yell, and he started clapping.

"Har, har, har.." I rolled my eyes and throw a pillow at him. He dodged it and winked at me.

I sat down next to Ady, right in between her and Kenny. Kenny had his arm around Mel and they cuddled into each other, watching Aaron play the game.

"Guys, I've been thinking." Brad rubbed the back of his neck. "What if I never get a mate?"

Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at him. Aaron paused the game and looked at him as well.

He shrugged. "I mean..almost everyone has found a mate already."

"Uh.... I haven't." Aaron raised his hand. "I thought I wasn't going to either, but I still have faith. I just haven't met that right girl yet. I think about it a lot, especially when I see the others, but..... I don't know."

"He's right, Brad. You'll find her soon." Ady smiled warmly at him.

He sighed, and it got quiet. "Okay, you can all start talking now. It's awkward." Everyone laughed and started to cuddle with their mates again.

Third Person POV (Different Character)

"I want you to find him. Bring him to me alive. Not dead, you hear me?"

     He nodded, exasperated. "Alright."

He gave him a map of what state he was currently in. "If I may ask--"

"No, you don't ask the questions. I ask the questions, and you give me the answers, got it?"

     He sighed. "Yeah, jeez."

He took a toothpick and swirled it in his mouth. "Now remember. You bring him to me alive. I want to have a little chat with him, alright? Do not kill him, or we'll all be in trouble. Understand?"

He rolled his eyes again. He was hoping to kill the wolf. "Yes, I understand."
