6 Why do they always aim for my butt?

(Edited )

Luke

I glared at the school building confused. It has cameras that aren't even working and the gates were wide open for anyone to just stroll in. Say a vampire or three werewolves, one quite averagely more handsome than the others if I don't say so myself. "You'd think they'd have more teachers on duty. We just walked in unnoticed..."

"Don't jinx anything moron," Marcus growled at me. I rolled my eyes wondering why I'm always put with him when it comes to hunting.

The Alpha always sends us off with the little missions like these, not the big ones where we could be dealing with a whole coven.

In fact, I don't even think we have a big issue out here with covens only undead wanderers. I'm not complaining if the Alpha doesn't believe I'm ready then I trust his judgement it's just I want to know more about this werecat.

Deviline is standing so close to me that if I wasn't wearing my black hood over my head I could probably feel her hot breath riding down my neck. It's like she wants to morph our bodies together.

Marcus and her... Actually, we all are in black hoods and dark faded jeans trying to stay unnoticed. Not doing a very good job...

With my wolf hearing, I overheard a girl whisper. "Wow look at the one in the middle, oh my god he's so cute." I curled my lips in. I'm the one standing in the middle... And for some reason, Deviline began to growl venomously so I elbowed her.

"So much for remaining invisible," Marcus complained oblivious to Deviline's odd behaviour. I suppose he must be just used to it by now, that or he doesn't even notice anymore.
Or maybe he's dead set on this mission just doesn't care what everyone else does. We walked around a corner behind the seniors building where no one can see us and I watched as the other two leapt up climbing up the brick wall to crawl through the window on the second floor.

"We're just going against subtle today aren't we?" I had to say. I'd regret it later if I didn't.

"Would you stop being such a smart ass and get up here?" Marcus snapped.
I grinned running the opposite direction to the wooden fence separate the school from a house and kicked off it to jump on the building. Marcus scowled at me and crawled in through the window.

"I don't know why we didn't just use the door," I said climbing inside behind the two. They stared at me dully then went around the classroom in scanning it. "Did we just climb through the wrong window?"

"Shut up Luke. This is the right room." Marcus stated.

"Where's the vampire then?" He ignored my question unsurprisingly and after getting one intense look from Deviline I just crawled back out the window.

If we're going to do this we have to do it right. The first step should have been going through the right f-ing window but no why listen to me? I'm just the wolf that was bitten not born as if that makes me any different to him. The corpse stench trailed to the closed window a couple of rooms across and I gagged because it's so strong even from out here. I balanced on the windowpane but the blind was shut to keep me from looking in and the sunshine out.

"Luke..." A feminine voice purred in my ear.

I flinched back and glared at her. "Jesus Deviline."

"Marcus is an idiot." She stated. She rested her sharp chin on my shoulder and started staring up at me with pouted lips.

"What are you doing?"

She blinked her eyes spastically. "Nothing."

"Are your eyes sore?"

She scowled. "No." She leaned back against the wall and crossed her arms over. "You're such an idiot."

"Oh well, by all means, crawl back and annoy the other idiot." Once I turned my head back the blind hit the window violently and it smashed into millions of pieces falling out of the building.

"You think I'm annoying?"

I didn't sign up to deal with someone's hormone imbalance.

"Hardly the time now Devil- what's that smell?" The dead man smell is mixed with burnt oranges and something I can't identify.

"The werecat is in there!" Deviline shouted swinging around and sliding through the window.

"Goddammit Deviline!"

Elektra

My black fur sprouted from my skin all over my body and I wiggled my little cat nose as I shrugged out of my uniform in the broom closet. My claws lengthened, my ears twitched to the sudden sounds from outside and my fangs grew out as well as my tail. I knocked on the door for Claire to open and stepped out in my half human half cat form.

"You're still in your underwear." Claire pointed out my bra and panties.

I said through the mind link because the jaw I have doesn't sound out words. 'They're black and well in this form I still have boobs, I'm trying to kill a vampire not turn him on in a sick beastly way.'

"Huh?"

'Bestiality.' She looked at me even more lost. Yeah, I'm not defining that to anyone... 'Just open the door for me Claire.'

"Okay." She grinned. As soon as the door was open I charged inside and jumped up in the air kicking the vampire back into the window.

Lesson one: how to know when you're dealing with an 'evil' vampire.

He or she will have bright red eyes that will glare at you lustfully. If you're human you may as well just toss yourself on a silver platter and wait for help.

The skin is exactly as they say, pale and flawless. Annoyingly flawless like it's so unfair how perfect they look when they're so evil. I just want to claw at their faces repetitively until they scar or just die.

Their speed is supersonic.

Their attitudes are the same as a wealthy 40-year-old man who just scored a girl 30 years younger than him and still believes he's got game not a boatload of cash.

They're usually cocky and self-absorbed.

They're not goth, I've only ever seen one vampire in that style but they do love the gothic architecture.

Of course, the best way to identify a vampire is the two sharp snake-like fangs sticking out ready to rip your throat out and this man is hissing at me with them.

What do I suggest you do if you happen to fall across one? Befriend a werecat beforehand.

"Da fuck did you come from?" He spat. I growled and stared at the unconscious body of a girl in a few classes above me with blood draining out from the two puncture marks in her neck.

Disgusting parasite.

He lunged at me and I pounced out of the way before he could get me but something else had crawled inside. I heard the bones snap and clothes ripping and the vampire and I stood side by side at the giant creamy coloured wolf.

Where did she come from? Does the school have magic portals I need to know about?

'Yours?' I questioned him.

"The bitch isn't one of yours?" He asked confused.

The wolf snarled and I'm assuming it's because she heard him and soon after she attacked the leech. Well, that saves me the trouble so I crawled my way to the unconscious girl ready to help her up but suddenly I felt sharp needles puncture my... My...

'MY BUTT!' I roared swinging my arm behind me to hit my claws at the evildoer. Why? Why my butt? Why harm the beautiful rump? My eyes are literally tearing up from the pain. My innocent butt... I turned around and glared at the she-wolf. What on earth does she have against me? I forced a mind link and when I began to speak her silver eyes widened in surprise. 'How dare you bring my butt into this? What did it ever do to you?'

She growled so I hissed and her jaws snapped at my face ready to rip it off. I reacted by slashing my claws across hers and stood protectively over the human girl's body. What the hell is she doing? Why is she attacking me?

She was ready to lunge at me again but her paws suddenly burned alight causing her to whimper and whine away. I looked at the door to see Claire standing there with her fiery eyes glowing and her hand pointed out at the she-wolf.

I wanted to cheer but something else had entered the room without me noticing and I can smell him now and feel lurking around in the background. I met the black wolf's kind golden eyes from across the room and they widened as they stared at me. I'm surprised Claire hasn't tripped over to his feet and gawked at the topazes on his face. His stance is not threatening which means he's nice? Or he thinks I'm the weaker species here. I pray it's the first...

I analysed his handsome features, I know that sounds ridiculous but they exist in this wolf. There's something attractive about him.

He has really big paws... We all know what that means wink wink.

Great, I'm disgusted with myself now.

I shook my head and stayed in place on all fours waiting for their next move.

I still don't understand why they're thinking I'm the threat here. Have they never seen a giant, humanoid, black cat in underwear before?

Oh, now I get it.

The white wolf limped to her companion and he checked her for wounds showing he is caring but there is a distance between them I doubt she even knows about.

It took a second longer for myself to realise that there is not a dead vampire corpse lying around with torn limbs.

She didn't even kill the vampire!

Well, I suppose my butt is too good to resist.

"Let's go." Claire said back to her 'normal' self whatever that is. Now here is the next big question. Do I shift to show I'm harmless? Or will she attempt to bite my fabulous arse again?

Wolfina snarled at my witch and before she even got within a metre I lunged forward pressing my paws into her side and knocked her down, Claire grabbed my tail and tugged me out of the room.

'What are you doing?' I questioned letting her pull me.

"She is plain," Claire replied using magic to close the door and lock it. "She's like an empty canvas. I have to give that wolf a makeover, bring out the orange that's hiding within her."

I rolled my eyes. 'When you're done being the weird version of Confucius...' I crawled across to the door trying to force it open but Claire has sealed it shut. The girl is still in there!

"She'll be fine. The wolves aren't bad." I looked at her strangely, if that's possible with a cat face and she just stared off blankly like a robot. My better instincts go against her, however, I let go of the doorknob and followed Claire back to the broom cupboard.

~*~*~

The bell rang for the end of lunchtime as soon as had buttoned up my shirt in the closet. "How convenient," I muttered sarcastically stepping out.

"He has the girl," Claire screamed in my face. Out of fright, I fell back into the closet ungracefully getting butt stuck in a bucket and then the mop fell on my head. This mop better not have mopped up vomit. I threw the mop off me and climbed out of the cupboard and out of the bucket pulling myself together and managed to stand again.

Then I panicked, "I thought you said they were good."

"He is." She whispered hen gazed dazedly.

"How do you know?" I asked confused.

"He has gold eyes. That's almost as good as orange and it's the same colour as the dress I wore remember, I mean like it is practically fate." Am I an idiot? Was she not panicking just a second ago? Am I seeing things?

I stared at her dully. "Really you entrust him with a human's life because of a dress you wore?"

"Gold is pure." She whispered as if it was the meaning of life.

"So is white but that colour bit me in arse!" My poor bum, it still stings.

"That was more of a white peachy carnation colour. She was not pure, if she was purple then we'd have something to worry about." Claire has this idea that purple is an evil colour. My favourite colour evil? If I love it so much that must mean that I'm evil which I can handle but then how do explain the rest of the population of girls that like the colour purple.

"Oh. Sure. Right because that makes perfect sense." I said sardonically.

"Yeah, thank the gods you have me right?" She started skipping away making me scowl. Do I go back for the girl or just MEOW? (Definition: the word you use when no other words can be bothered coming to mind)

I'll MEOW this time because my butt is too sore. I've never been bitten by a werewolf before.

BLOODY HURTS LIKE A BITCH!

How funny it is that I was bitten by a bitch.

Stupid bitch.

I should cut down on my swearing it's unladylike... I snickered. Yeah because I'm such a lady. The crazy cat lady.

My eyes caught sight of the girl that was under attack and another girl supporting her and helping her walk. "Don't worry we're taking you to the sickbay now."

"I don't even remember what happened..." The girl whined rubbing her temples.

Thank the fates she doesn't because there is no psychologist in the world that can help you with 'I was almost murdered by a vampire'. Trust me.

After a few moments to compose myself I started sliding past the bustling senior students hurrying to get to class and some stared at me strangely. As if they're bothered by a year seven girl trespassing their hallway. This year seven girl saved your lives! But still, I concentrated on getting out of their way just in case one of them happens to be an older version of Scott.

Some guy crashed into me and I yelped stumbling back a bit and couldn't control the defensive growl. There's no human out there that's strength can be compared to mine yet this boy made me crash into lockers. Did he do it on purpose? I went to tie back my hair so I can properly snap at his guy, however, the wet dog smell hit my sensitive nose making me stiffen. "Shit." I released my hair and shook it out trying to camouflage with the lockers to avoid any more contact.

Walk away, walk away wolf boy... Please walk away.

"Sorry, are you okay?" His sudden concern touched my heart as well as surprised me but still, I tried shying my face away when he kept leaning forward and tilting his to the side trying to catch a glimpse. I want to look up and see his face but I also don't think I want him to see mine. What if that she-wolf is close by and he's the wolf I drew! That doesn't mean he's a good guy at all it just means I was destined to meet him. He inhaled my scent making me silently gasp but I didn't fret. He can't smell my panther scent unless I am my panther. "I'm really sorry. Did I hurt you?" His hand reached out for my head making my heart beat faster.

I snapped rudely. "Do you mind?"

His hand paused mid-air so I shouldered past him with a gut filled with gruesome guilt. I didn't have to do that I could have been nice and pretended to be too shy to speak.

I just panicked that's all I didn't mean to be rude...

When his glare on me focused on something else I glanced over, for what may be the last time I see this boy and bit my lip blushing. "Nice butt," I whispered.

Embarrassingly he froze and before he could turn around I ran off hiding behind the wall smiling sheepishly.

"I'm such a girl," I whispered to myself and shook my head. Or I'm actually just an idiot. I attracted to a possible enemy's backside. Yeah totally normal!

Maybe moving on from Adrian won't be that difficult.

I checked my watch reading the time.

Great! It's 'you're going to get a detention on your first day' o'clock. What a welcome to this town!

Who else gets verbally abused by the most popular boy in school,

Gets the chance to slam a door in his face,

Causes him to believe that he left his zipper undone,

Then find there's a vampire lurking around drinking out of a girl,

Strips in a broom closet and turns into a giant cat,

And before you can do anything a she-wolf comes crashing in,

Bites your arse,

Sees a very attractive black wolf that you drew just before,

All on the first day if school?

When I got back to my building and rushed to my last class English, the teacher let me off with a warning and I took the only spot left to Olivia's twin brother. The constipated guy. I tried sitting down but I winced in pain and stood next to my chair awkwardly.

I physically can't sit. MY LIFE IS OVER!

My teacher noticed me still standing "Elektra sit down." But my butt...

"Do I have to?" I asked the teacher. Everyone looked at me weirdly or snickered thinking I was going to start something. No, I'm a good student, I've just had a really bad day and my bum took the worst of it.

Her stern eyes became perplexed. "What do you mean do you have to? Of course, you do."

"But sitting down is bad for your health." I started knowing it will lead me nowhere.

"What?"

"There's an article on how sitting down for too long is worse than smoking."

"I'll be sure to read it. Now sit down."

"But..."

"Sit down."

I whined silently as I slowly rested my butt on the chair gritting my teeth. "Stupid wolfy-bitchy fanged bitch."

"What did you say?" The brother stared at me stunned. Oops said that out loud.

I sighed leaning my arms on the table to take some pressure off the bite mark. "Silly windy beach feigned butch," I said quickly then laughed at my pathetic attempt. "Ignore me."

"I'd rather not." He grinned showing a set of perfect teeth.

"Hm," I replied and focused on the teacher writing something up on the board. She started going off about the novel we're reading about a girl and a mermaid. Yes, finally some fantasy reading. Even though in my world it's all reality, I'm super glad! I've never met a mermaid and I would love to know a human's perception of them.

Suddenly she made us all stand up and walk around the room to answer questions she stuck on the walls. I'm thankful to be standing but concerned by Olivia's brother. He's sticking to me like glue or like a bee attracted to pollen.

"When did you move here Elektra?" He asked politely as I wrote down a made-up answer to the question in my notebook. I haven't read the book yet nor have I even ordered it but I looked up the summary during recess. I don't really have any of my books yet except for already used ones from my old school. To put it in simple words I am unprepared for this school.

Without glancing up or stopping from writing I replied. "Just yesterday actually. What's your name Olivia's twin brother?"

Please be Oliver.

"Jared." I nodded slightly disappointed. "Where did you move from?"

I snickered and continued writing. "Is it you asking or your ever so joyful friend burning holes in the back of my head?" I walked to the windows to answer the next question and he followed me.

"Don't mind him." He said. I spared a glance over my shoulder and puckered my lips sending Trevor a mocking kiss. His eyes narrowed on me but he looks really confused and shocked by my act.

I snickered and turned back to my work. "Mhm." I gazed out the window and saw the wolf with the cute butt storming out there with a girl with pure white hair tagging along behind. My butt started tingling with pain at the sight of her so I decided to focus more of my attention on the wolf boy. He had his back facing me and I watched as he kicked someone's car causing it to roll on its side then he stormed off. "Jeez hormonal much." But he is very strong and that's I'll admit kinda hot, oh I do hope he doesn't have an ugly face.

"Huh?"

"Oh, nothing," I whispered leaning closer to the window to follow the two wolves with my eyes.

Who are you wolf boy?

Luke

The white wooden house in the woods is a very strange house. It sits there always open and always inviting people in yet knowing what I know about this house I could say it's a trap. That door with a pretty stained window of a white rose is always open but the wolves that lurk inside are not.

I was brought to this house at the age of 7 holding all the words of hope a very tall man had given me. I didn't know dark secrets lay inside waiting for my arrival and if I had I probably would have run away but there was and is nowhere for me to go. There's no escape for wolves, my fate has already been decided for me and all because of that day when a white wolf bit me. At the foot of the staircase to the inviting door, I glared at Deviline who linked her arm around mine wearing the extra clothes I got for her because I knew she wouldn't bring her own. Her thin pale body looks extremely awkward in my baggy black jeans and loose black tee. I didn't bother with shoes because she threw away my last ones loving the feel of dirt against her feet, or something as weird as that.

"Why are you staring at me like that?" She questioned. I shook her off me and started up the stairs walking through the front door.

I stiffened when I turned my head finding the Alpha in the living room and Deviline lingered behind me as I walked towards him. "Alpha." I greeted nodding my head.

His dark eyes stayed on me while he held a glass of water to his lips. He placed it down on the coffee table and leaned back in his chair. "Where have you been?"

"On the mission, you sent me on," I replied.

"I sent you on? What the hell are you talking about!?" He roared.

"But Marcus said..." I stopped when Marcus entered the room in his pj's and he outstretched his arms as if he got up just a minute ago. His eyes grinned cruelly while the rest of his face played the part of the innocent mutt. He set this up to get me in trouble. I can't believe Marcus would actually do that to get at me! We were never meant to go on any mission he was just trying to make it seem like I was rebelling so he was the good child.

I don't want to be the Alpha's favourite but nor do I want to be loathed and seen as a delinquent. This Pack is all I have, I would never want to disappoint anybody or be frowned upon. I can't stand the frowning...

"There was a vampire in one of the high schools and Deviline and I thought we should just deal with it."

"Without permission! Father can you believe it! How can you disobey orders like that!?" Marcus shouted probably interesting every other wolf in the house.

"I'm sorry sir. We weren't thinking about our safety only of others."

"I do hope you're not believing this dad." Marcus snapped.

"Did you kill it?" Alpha asked me.

"What?" Marcus and I asked at the same time.

"Did you kill the vampire?"

I sighed. "N-" Deviline interrupted rushing up to my side. "He did. He was very brave."

"Hm, well then next time Luke I want you to console me first before you act on instinct. But I'm proud of you."

Marcus growled and shouldered past me to storm outside.

'I am not done with you Marcus.' I growled telepathically.

'Neither am I.' I nodded to Alpha then walked calmly outside and trailed Marcus's scent deeper into the woods till we were out of earshot from the Pack House.

"You said dad sent us!" I shouted when I found him leaning back against the tree. His arms are crossed and his chin is on his chest so he looks like a stubborn child.

"So what I lied!? And don't call him dad he's not your father. He's mine."

"I don't care about that Marcus! What you and your dad have is yours and I know very well I can never compete with that nor do I want to but think for a second I'm going take your lies just because you have daddy issues."

"Shut up!"

"No! Rather than focusing on ruining my image, work on your own!"
