Chapter 22

Alec's POV:

Magnus was saying that we should wait till I got my memories back to get married but I was sick and tired of it all, of not knowing who he was (properly), of not remembering a life time spent with him. I was frustrated. That's why Magnus was surprised when I told him I wanted to get married. It had been a few days since then, and because Magnus simply pushed the date of the wedding back, it wasn't too far away. Everything was basically sorted, all that was left to do was hope, hope that something good would come of this.

"1 day!" Magnus exclaimed as he ran through the doors of the living room. I had just got home from the gym, ready to drench myself under the shower. I glanced over at him jumping around. I couldn't help but laugh as he reminded me of a 5 year old on their birthday. Magnus quickly ran to me and embraced me in a tight hug. He trapped my arms beneath his and I couldn't do much. After a while of me struggling, he let go of me.
"I'm so excited!"
"I can see that." I replied sarcastically. He playfully hit me in the arm.
"I hate when you do that."
"Do what?" I asked.
"You know what. You're so sarcastic all the time."
"I'm sorry, but that's just me Magnus. And if you can't accept me for me then-" He hit me again.
"Stop. You're doing it on purpose." He said, growing annoyed.
"Doing what?" I asked again just to annoy him.
"I'm done." He turned around and started to walk away from me. I grabbed his hand, pulled him closer, and kissed him.

"I love you," I said as our lips finally parted. "And I am excited too... who would've thought I'd be marrying a man I barely know?"
"I hate you." Magnus said as he noticed my lips curl into a smirk.
"I'm kidding... come here." I said as I kissed him yet again.

Magnus's POV:

"Well, what do you wanna do today?" I asked as we parted.
"I have no idea." Alec replied, clearly clueless.
"Seeing as it's our last day as 'not-married', I was thinking that I could go out with the girls for a bachelor party."
"Which girls?"
"Izzy, Clary, Caterina, maybe Ragnor. Y'know, the usual." We had all become really close over the years.
"What am I supposed to do?" Alec asked.
"I don't know, hang out with Jace and Simon?"
"Simon is Izzy's boyfriend, that's just weird." He protested. "What would we do anyway?"
"I don't know, talk about sports? That's for you to decide." I said cluelessly as I had no idea what Alec's friends were into. "Anyway, I have to get ready, we're leaving in 3 hours. That's barely enough time." I pecked Alec on the lips, tiptoeing as I did so, and ran to the bedroom. I locked the door and put so much concentration into getting ready. Although Alexander had lost all memory of me, he really didn't act like it. He behaved as though he could recall everything about me.

After two and a half hours of me rushing to get ready, because that was definitely not enough time, I was dressed and looking my finest. I had a burgundy chiffon top, with a low cut that wasn't low enough, and plain black jeans with the top tucked into them. I had a selection of numerous rings on each finger and three silver necklaces, all hanging at different lengths. The shoes I had on were also burgundy and my makeup was perfect. Not to mention the glitter that was all over.

I opened the door and stood just outside the room with my arms spread wide around me, revealing my hard work to a bored Alexander sat on the sofa.
"Ta-da!" I said as I finally caught his attention. Alec's eyes widened and his jaw dropped.
"Woah, Magnus. You look amazing."
"No need to point out the obvious... now, I should get going. The girls are probably waiting for me."
"But, Magnus. What do I do?"
"As I said before, that's up to you... I really must get going now." I gave Alexander one last spin and received an approving smile. I left and made my way down to the night club.

Tonight's going to be fun I thought to myself.
