Chapter 10

Alec's POV:

When I showed up at the apartment I had a bag flung over each arm and a box in my hands. I noticed that the door was already open and boxes were by the door. I walked in and put the bags and box down and sneaked behind Magnus, I wrapped my arms around his waist while I was slightly kneeling down. At first he was startled and noticed it was me so he relaxed. He too had a box in his hand. I kissed him on his cheek and noticed his lips start to curl into a smile.
"What's all this?" I asked as I looked to my side right into his eyes.
"I'm making space for you." He replied doing the same. He brought his lips to mine as I smiled into the kiss. This is how I liked him the most. No makeup, not dressed up, no glitter, limp hair. His natural self.
"Now, get lost. I need to carry on."
"You know I don't have that much stuff, right?"
"Yeah, I know. I just took the chance to clean up." I let go of him and looked around, it was immaculate. Although he said he simply took the chance, I knew when he was lying. He did this for me.
"Wow, Magnus! This must've taken you ages. Thank you." I said, hinting on the fact that this was for me. I was always complaining about the mess.
"This isn't for you."
"Yeah yeah, sure it isn't." I said sarcastically. He elbowed me in the stomach with a cute giggle.
"Oww!" I grabbed the left side if my stomach, faking the pain. I then smiled and flung my arm around Magnus's shoulder, pulling him close to me. I squeeze his shoulders in and after a while of looking out into the apartment, I brought his head to my lips and kissed the top of his temple.

Magnus's POV:

After what seemed like hours of cleaning up and moving things up, we were finally finished. I was in the bedroom and I let myself drop back on to the bed with my arms spread out, covering the whole surface.

"We're done!" I heard Alec shout from the other end of the room. I laid there for a moment in silence noticing Alec looking around the room in amazement. He was probably thinking exactly what I was:

This isn't my apartment anymore, it's ours.

We were both exhausted and needed food. Alec offered to make some and I certainly couldn't dismiss an offer like that. Alec was always a great cook, I, on the other hand, wasn't. I sat down at the table and watched the most handsome cook do his magic. I had all the ingredients he needed, just because I don't cook for myself, doesn't mean someone else won't. His hands moved so professionally around the kitchen. As he sliced an onion his eyes started to water and I tried so hard to cover my laughter with a bottle of water.
"Stop it! It's not funny." He exclaimed as he notice my laughter.
"Sorry, I'll stop." I lied.
He looked so perfect right there, in my- in our kitchen. He had a habit of sticking his tongue out when he was trying to get something perfectly done. This was one of those times. He was so cute.

When he was done he brought the plates to the table and said, "Voilà!" He then took his own seat and said, "Dig in!"
I did as told. It was salmon with an amazing smelling sauce. Around the salmon was an array of vegetables: broccoli, brussels sprouts, green beans and many more. I took a slice out of the salmon. As I chewed the flavours exploded in my mouth.
"Wow! This is amazing, where did you learn how to make this?"
"I don't know, I guess I just have a talent." He explained teasingly.

He smiled at me as I did the same back. Everything was just the way it was meant to be.
