"Princess Leia Organa of Alderaan, was taken into custody by the empire four cycles ago, just before the destruction of her planet-" sighing, Illium Gohi turned off the holovid. He was tired of hearing the same news everywhere. Why didn't they report on the real stories? Like the families who where ripped apart by the empire or the scavengers of the outer rim planets, the ones who had to work for the junk bosses, doing Force knows what, just to get table scraps, Not some spoiled princess! Illium had lived on Kerres, his home planet, for most of his life, but he wasn't home often. He had inherited the family fortune at twenty four and used it to help those less fortunate. His parents had done that, well before... but he couldn't think of that right now, he had a meeting to get to and he was going to be late!

"Shoot, Shoot, Shoot! I'm late! Dumb meeting!" Kara Nayarit whispered under her breath after checking the time on a small device she had made. She had to meet with the galactic senate about a new senator from Kerres. She sped down the hallway to the chamber where the meeting was supposed to happen and opened the door to, well nothing! The room was completely empty.

"I'm sure this is the room... it has to be!" She said, frowning to herself.

"Hello! You must be senator Nayarit!" Someone says emerging from somewhere Kara hadn't seen and scaring her more than she cared to admit.

"Yes, and you are?" She replied, hoping it was the new senator and wondering where everyone else was. Surely they didn't want her to show him around! She had only been a senator for about a year, give or take.

"My name is Illium Gohi. I'm the new senator from Kerres." He told her.

Illium had short, curly, dark brown hair and very beautiful blue-gray eyes that seemed to shift colors in the light. He had a bit of a large nose, but it made his face better. And he had full lips with a small, almost insecure smile. His skin was a little dark for someone from the gigantic ice ball known as Kerres, but it suited him well. The bit of hair he had on his face that suggested he had forgotten to shave that morning, but he was quite handsome. She could tell that he was on the short side, but he had quite a bit of muscle and looked taller than he actually was. He put out his hand to shake it, interrupting her thoughts. She smiled and shook it. "Nice to meet you.
Where is everyone else? I'm not that late, am I?" She inquired, feeling lost. Why had they sent her?

"I don't think so. They brought me to this room and just told me to wait here for you." Illium explained, looking as lost as Kara felt.

"Well... I guess I should show you around and explain how it works!" Kara said after a minute.

"-and that's about it! It's really boring and quite a long process. It usually takes weeks to even discuss the pros and cons of anything!" Kara finished explaining how they voted on things, such as laws and regulations as she pulled open the door to another hall.

He had studied her a bit while they where talking, she had beautiful, short, choppy, red-gold hair and her gray eyes almost glowed in the fading sunlight, had they really been talking that long? She was wearing a long, dark green dress that complimented her hair well. She was very pretty and her slight makeup complimented her features perfectly. Illium smiled, but he felt something and suddenly stopped in his tracks. He tried to stay calm, but he was sure his face betrayed him. "Oh kriff! We need to get down! Now!" he shouted, looking around for cover and finally pulling her toward the door from which they had just entered.

"What?" Kara protested loudly, trying to pull away from his grip.

Illium was completely nervous as pulled her through the door, this had happened before. He remembered that night a few years ago. "Just trust me!" He yelled, only partially aware of what he was saying.

"Fine!" She relented and they ran through the hall they had just entered and found a safe spot in another doorway!

A second or two after they found shelter, they heard what sounded like a bomb going off, the door they had come through seconds before splintered, and the room shook!

"W-w-WHAT WAS THAT? D-id you do that? H-how did you know?" Kara inquired furiously.

"It wasn't me! I promise!" Illium said against the accusations, trying to explain, but he was exhausted!

"Then how the force did you do that?" She asked, unsure of herself.

"I can sense things, danger, I've been able to since I was a kid." He replied and crumpled to the floor!
