Chapter 17

Keila POV

I watched as my friends played, it had been two weeks since I'd healed. Now, we were at a tournament, and I could finally play. I only had to wear a compression arm sleeve. My arm would often be sore after setting it, but the pain was durable, I didn't tell anyone. Why would I?

Finally, their set was over, they had luckily won, but there was no telling what would happen next.

"Hey! Good job!" The team said as they high fived each other.

I smiled and watched as our coach talked to us, and next, we were doing our handshaking and saying "Good game" to the other team. Now we just had an hour before our next game, so everyone got their stuff and went where they went.

I walked away to watch the boys game, not from my school, but it was a boy's game. It was pretty cool, but soon, I was joined by some other people. I smiled as we talked about the game, but deep down, I didn't feel like smiling.

I talked with the boys, talking about the volleyball skills, teams and more. We kept on chatting, but all I could really think of was my leg, it was hurting, but I didn't care, I had to play. I just hoped it wouldn't hurt me too much.

I could just remember myself when I had slammed into the ground to try and save the ball. Ouch, it had hurt. I didn't tell anyone, typical me, but I just hoped nothing would happen. I sighed, hopefully, nothing would happen in the next game.
