This is the dark age.

The Dhére Realm was once ruled by the Fey and the Dragons, working side by side. While they ruled together the land flourished, as did its people.

But then something changed. Awiyn - a fey elder - decreed that the dragons dangerous and declared war, breaking an almost-forgotten peace treaty that had existed for centuries. He ordered an army of fey to destroy the dragons, and the ensuing battle was brutal and bloody.

Their numbers severely diminished, the Dragons left the Dhére, swearing that one day they would return to avenge their brethren and take back what was rightfully theirs.

Soon, they became a story of legend and warning; one to be told after darkness had fallen. The Dhére elders, led by Awiyn, ruled the land with an iron fist, terrified that one day the dragons might return.
