Meet the parents weekend.

It's Friday and Eddward finally returned to school. The jocks who started the fight last week are currently still on suspension and no one really paid any mind to Kevin or hurt him while he was away which makes the swimmer relieved. After the last class of the day the swimming coach requests to speak with Eddward. "Vincent, as the captain of the team you should be setting an example for all the other swimmers on this team and last week your stunt really badly reflected on us." The coach says with a stern tone. "Coach, please just understand the circumstance I was in...I was helping someone out who was defenseless and yes, I might have acted a little too irrationally but just know I am not going to lie and say I regret it." The swimmer replies.
"I'm going to be honest with you Vincent, if you weren't so good at what you do you would not be competing on this team anymore. That being said yes, you can compete, yes you are still captain, but I need you to clean the locker rooms, collect the towels, and clean the showers after every practice until the season is over. Understood?"
"Understood coach." The swimmer walks away with a smile.

The tall boy is greeted outside the pool room by his ginger who is smiling. "Pumpkin were you listening in on that conversation?" The swimmer asks getting in close to the small boy. "Y-no y-es maybe..." He replies backing up as the tall boy closes in. "Well I guess you are lucky it was good news...but still you need to learn a lesson for listening in on others private conversations." He then closes in on the timid boy and kisses him, his tongue smoothly gliding in and wresting with the ginger's. For about a minute this continues until the pool room's door opens. "Vincent! Seriously save that for home!" The coach screams. Kevin blushes hard and the two walk away holding hands and smiling.
They arrive at Eddwards place at nearly 4pm and Kevin decides to go home and help with dinner since the Eddward is finally going to meet his dad tonight. "I-I will see you later Eddward?" The timid boy says. "Yes of course I will be there 6:30 sharp." The swimmer says.

6:30pm comes and there is a knock at Kevin's door. "Hello pumpkin." The Raven haired boy greets his host with a smile. The ginger's jaw drops as he sees his boyfriend standing there in a maroon dress shirt tucked inside dark grey dress pants and wearing dress shoes. Although he is still wearing his beanie the rest of him is very polished and quite formal. "E-e-Eddward you're..." The timid boy is blushing hard trying to gather his words. Just then a middle aged man appears behind the ginger. "Oh hello! You must be our guest tonight. My name is George Barr I am Kevin's dad. You can call me George though. There is no need for formalities here although I see you didn't get that memo." The older man laughs and then shakes the swimmers hand firmly. "D-dad this is Eddward..." The small boy speaks shaking realizing they are actually meeting for the first time he can no longer speak. "Hello George, I  am Eddward Vincent and I am your son's boyfriend." The tall boy says with a smile.
"Ah right-on I am hoping you treat my son right! That's all I ask as a father." The older man laughs awkwardly. "Come on, dinner is ready let's all sit at the table! I made turkey, mashed potatoes, and corn, kinda like thanksgiving." He continues still awkwardly laughing and grabbing the back of his head.

They all sit at the table George at the head, Eddward at the other head, and Kevin in the middle between them. The tall boy then takes this time to look at his boyfriend's dad and study him. He is taller than Kevin but shorter than himself roughly around 5'9". He still has a thick head of orange hair much like his sons but it is going grey in some areas. He has freckles as well but his eyes are blue green, not emerald like his sons. He has a little bit of a red beard but not much, like he hasn't shaved in about a week. He's casually dressed with a white t-shirt and jeans. The table is filled with small conversations mostly about school, the weather, typical adult stuff then George asks "So, are your parents around? I haven't seen them. Like ever." Eddward then stops eating for a moment and looks at the older man with an almost angry look. "I am sorry but I don't think that is any of your concern. I am taken care of and I make sure your son is taken care of as well." He continues eating. There is awkward silence from then on until Kevin says. "E-Eddward I made some dessert would you like some?" The timid boy blushes. The swimmer nods and smiles at the small boy who then gets up and walks towards the kitchen. George then speaks quietly "Listen, I am sorry for my awkwardness I just really worry about Kevin. His mom...well I'll let him tell you but anyway I am sorry if I struck a cord earlier I was just making idle chit chat. I am honestly happy he has someone like you around." He then makes a thumbs up motion and Eddward smiles and nods. Kevin returns with some brownies cut into little hearts. Eddward lightly blushes again at the cuteness of his boyfriend's heart shaped food. "Thank you pumpkin." He says with a grin he takes a brownies bites into it and smiles. "It's delicious."

The rest of the night is filled with more idle chit chat and laughing. All the sudden it is 10pm and George yawns. "Man oh man is it that late already? Listen, I got work early in the morning. please, Eddward feel free to stay as long as you like." The older man smiles shakes Eddward's hand again and hugs his son. The boys are now alone and sitting in the living room watching t.v. as the tall boy as his arm around the small boys shoulder. "S-so Eddward...did you enjoy tonight?" The ginger says blushing. "Yes, I am happy to have met your father. I suppose now you should meet my parents. I just have to find out their locat-" just then his phone starts buzzing he answers it. "Yes, this is Eddward speaking. Oui demain" he then hangs up the phone and turns to the ginger. "It appears they have been located shall we take a trip to visit them
Tomorrow?" The swimmer says. "Yes I would love to!" The boys then continue watching t.v. Until they both pass out on the couch, in each others arms.

The next morning the boys are woken up by George cooking bacon and eggs for breakfast. They sit up and sniff the air. "Ah good morning boys! I was hoping not to wake you but I see my cooking has woken you up!" The older man laughs setting the table for all 3 of them. "So what is my son and his boyfriend up to today?" George says with a smile. "Visiting Eddward's parents!" The small boy says happily. Eddward slightly frowns for a moment and then throws on a quick smile. They finish breakfast and George then leaves for work. "Pumpkin, I am going to get ready for today. meet me at my place in an hour." Eddward's tone seems half sad half anxious but he smiles and kisses Kevin on the cheek.

Kevin arrives at Eddward's house and knocks the door it then swings open. "Hello again, pumpkin. Are you ready to go?" He still seems upset and the ginger worries then if he is forcing Eddward to do something he does not want to. "Y-Yes Eddward but are you sure you want me to meet them? You seem a little upset." The redhead says frowning. "Oh pumpkin no, it's not that." The swimmer says grabbing some car keys and opening the garage. "Hop in." The swimmer says motioning to his car which he rarely uses. "Where are we going?" The emerald eyed boy asks curiously considering they never drive anywhere, ever. "Just a few towns over." The tall boy replies.

The boys drive for about an hour and suddenly Eddward pulls into a location Kevin was not expecting. A cemetery. Eddward gets out the car and they walk about 10 minutes. He finally stops and turns to the redhead. "We are here." The tall boy then grabs his lovers hand tightly and and walks closer to two tombstones placed next to eachother. One reads "here lies Dr. James Vincent. January 5th, 1965-August 10th 2005." The other reads "here lies Dr. Claire Vincent may 12th, 1968-August 10th 2005."

Eddward and Kevin both start tearing up.

End.
