With wide smiles, Yoongi embraced his son tightly.

“Dad…” Jungkook called softly. “I missed you.”

“I missed you too, my child,” Yoongi replied. They broke the hug and walked towards the parking lot. As Yoongi's car pulled up in front of the Jeon residence, Hoseok and Jimin stepped out with warm smiles.

“Mom!” Jungkook exclaimed, rushing to hug his mother tightly. It had been a long ten years since they had last seen each other.

“Jimin…” Jungkook greeted, pulling him into a hug as well.

Jeon Jungkook, the son of Jeon Yoongi and Hoseok, had been studying abroad. After his studies, he established his own business and quickly became a successful businessman. But his success had come at a cost—he had been separated from his family for almost ten years.

Hoseok eagerly served a variety of dishes for Jungkook. “Mom, I’m on a diet,” he protested.

“Just eat,” Hoseok insisted, playfully slapping his biceps. “You look so lean.”

“Who? This muscle pig?” Jimin teased, glancing at his elder brother.

“Give that phone back,” Jungkook retorted, looking at Jimin with a smirk.

No, you're a handsome hunk,” Jimin added, flashing a wide grin.

“So, my question is, why did you opt for an arranged marriage?” Jimin asked, looking at him curiously.

“I don’t know… I haven’t found anyone interesting,” Jungkook replied.

“How could you say yes to a marriage without even seeing the person, not even a photo?”

“My dad and mom always choose the perfect match for me.”

“Are you sure? What if you don’t like the person after marriage?”

“Let me see her first, then we can decide.”

“Okay… We are going tomorrow. They live in the village. She’s studying in Seoul. Still…”

“Give me the photo first. I know you have it.”

“Yeah… Here.” Jimin handed over the photo.

“Beautiful… I like her.”

“The photo doesn’t reveal her character, hyung.”

“Let’s see her first, then we can decide. Okay?”

“Okay…” Jimin shrugged.

“Is that your boy?” he asked his sister curiously.

“Yes,” she nodded.

“He looks so handsome,” he said with a pout.

She smiled at him.

“What are you doing here? Come and serve coffee for them.” She took the coffee tray and walked towards the Jeon family. She felt no tension because she already knew the man, who was a prominent businessman. She served coffee to everyone with a smile. Jungkook observed her carefully, noting her confident and bold demeanor.

“Why did you opt for an arranged marriage?” he asked her

“Well, my mom and dad suggested it, and I liked your photo too. That’s why.”

“Hmm… Which year are you studying now?”

“Last year.”

“Any future plans?”

“Yeah, specialization in Cardiology.”

“That’s a great option.”

“Thanks,” she smiled.

“By the way, this place looks really good. So green and relaxing.”

“Yeah, I think you like the countryside.”

“Who doesn’t?” he replied, looking at her.

“Hmm…” she hummed.

“Excuse me, I’m sorry, it’s an important call.” He took his phone and walked near the river. Then he saw someone standing by the water. He walked up to the person.

“Excuse me, are you fishing?” he asked the boy.

“Yes,” the boy turned around with a wide smile, causing Jungkook’s breath to hitch. He was perhaps the most beautiful and cute person he had ever seen.

“Are you Jungkook? The one who came to marry my noona? I like you,” the boy smiled.

Jungkook looked at the boy with heart eyes.

“You know what, mom said… ‘Tae, don’t come there when they are here.’ She’s scared I might pull some prank,” the boy raised his eyebrows. “But I won’t.”

Jungkook smiled at him.

“Hmm… What are you doing, Jungkook?”

“Business… Hmm… How old are you?”

“Me? 18,” the boy said, and Jungkook’s face fell. He was 30, 12 years older.

“Are you studying?” Jungkook asked.

“No… Actually, mom said there’s no cash to send everyone to school. So I’m working.”

“Working?”

“Yes, I do everything. But mom takes all the money, but it’s okay. She needs it,” the boy smiled again, melting Jungkook’s heart.

“Jungkook, what are you doing here?” the girl called out. He looked back and saw her approaching.

“I was talking with him,” Jungkook said, looking once more at the boy before walking back with the girl. “Is he your brother?”

“Actually, no. Dad brought him home. We don’t know who his father and mother are. He’s quite annoying, always talking. He didn't know how to behave with others. And look how he’s dressed…” she shook her head. Jungkook looked back at the boy. He was wearing an oversized hoodie and pants too big for him, with a ponytail on his head. But Jungkook found it endearing.

They settled for lunch, with her mother smiling warmly at Jungkook as they both served everyone.

“Why didn’t anyone call me?” came a voice, drawing everyone's attention.

“I’m so hungry,” Taehyung said, sitting down and taking a plate. “Mmm... this looks tasty. You know, I made all of this and cut my finger.” He showed his finger and started to eat

“Taehyung...” the old lady called him. “Stand up,” she commanded.

“I’m hungry... I haven’t eaten anything since yesterday,” he said with a pout.

“It’s okay, let him sit there. Is he your son?” Yoongi asked.

“No... we have no relationship,” the old lady replied. “Stand up,” she repeated, grabbing his hand and leading him into the kitchen.

Jungkook stared after them, hearing the sound of a slap.

“Sorry,” the girl said, giving an awkward smile. “I told you... he’s like that.”

**********

Jungkook gazed outside at the night sky, filled with stars, the moon glowing more brightly than usual.

“Hmm...” he heard a sound.

“It’s okay... sleep,” he murmured, patting the boy who was sleeping on his chest. Jungkook gently caressed the cute ponytail and looked at the pouty lips. “Tae...” he called softly.

“Just five more minutes, mom... I’ll wake up at 4 am and do everything,” Taehyung mumbled, hugging Jungkook even tighter.
