After taking a shower I walked out of the bathroom, Ivy was nowhere in the room. I rummaged through my bag and pulled out a blue dress and slipped into it and dried my hair.

I looked around the room and noticed the high windows, the room was painted a light shade of blue and a slight touch of lavender purple. It was large and spacious even with the large couch and the king sized bed. This room was incomparable to my tiny bedroom. Of course, why wouldn't it be, after all this is a billionaire's house. Speaking of which, where is Chase Turner?

I sat looking around the room for sometime after which my stomach decided it needed some filling. Sigh. I have to get something to eat. I have to find the kitchen. I opened the door and walked out only to be greeted by an unending hallway.
I walked down the hallway and something caught my eye. It was a family portrait hanged on the wall. There were three young boys and a little girl with their parents. Everyone looked happy but a boy with dark brown eyes. I recognized that it was Chase. Why would he be unhappy while everyone else were smiling?

"You lost?" Someone asked from behind which startled me.

"Oh my god!" I jumped back.

"Sorry." Ivy said in her cheerful tone. "Come on, breakfast is ready."

"Um, okay." I followed Ivy down the stairs to the kitchen.

Gosh. This kitchen had to be the size of two of my living room.

Chase was in an apron. A shocker. He was busy pulling out food from the oven. The kitchen had a very modernized yet elegant touch to it.

Ivy pulled me down a chair by the dinning table as she sat down.

"You're gonna love it." She grinned.

"What?"

"My brother is the best cook in the whole world." She said, her grin getting wider.

"Are you serious? I don't believe that. I bet he can even make a cup of coffee." I said.

"I heard that." Chase called out as he pulled out plates from a drawer.

Ivy chuckled. "You're gonna have to take back your words after you eat."

"I'll bet on that too."

I put down the fork on my plate. It was the best meal I've ever had. I saw Ivy wriggling her brows at me.

"What?" I asked.

"So, how was it?"

"Okay. I surrender. This was by far the best meal I've ever had." I said honestly. I couldn't even deny it to myself. I'm quite surprised that he could cook.

"Told 'ya."

While Ivy and I were doing the dishes Ivy asked me something I had totally forgotten.

"So, you stay with your parents?"

Oh my god.

"I'm sorry I have to call my parents." I rushed out of the kitchen.

I reached Ivy's room and pulled out my cellphone from my purse and dailed home. It rang for three times but nobody picked it. What's the time? I glanced at my watch. 9 a.m. Its time my parents have woken up. I dailed again and this time somebody picked the phone. But I was greeted by an unfamiliar voice.

"Hello?"

"Hello, can I speak to my mom please?"

"And you are?"

"Nat- Natalie Delvis."

"Oh! Um, Natalie, I'm sorry to say but Mr and Mrs. Delvis moved out of the house last week."

"What? Who are you?"

"I'm just a neighbour. I'm sorry but they said they couldn't keep the house any longer. I don't know why. I tried to persuade them to stay but they just wouldn't listen."

I wasn't shocked. I knew exactly why they left. But couldn't they just call me once. I felt tears forming in my eyes.

"Do you know whe-where they'd gone?" My voice cracked.

"I'm sorry."

"Oh! Thank you." I ended the call. I stared at my phone. I couldn't believe this. God, is this really happening? I knew something was happening the moment I saw Alex. But I hadn't expected my parents to move out of their loving home for forty years. This was really hard to take in.

I sanked down the floor and cried. I couldn't protect my parents. I couldn't. And now, I don't even know where they are.

Ivy walked into the room and rushed to me as soon as she saw me on the floor.

"Natalie? What happened?" She put her arms around me.

"Uh! Nothing." I wiped my tears and tried to cracked a smile but failed miserably.

"You look so bad."

"It's nothing really." I stood up.

She smiled,"If you need anything just tell me okay?" She engulfed me into a hug which made my tears rush out again.

I nodded. "Where can I find Chase?" I asked Ivy.

"He's probably in the living room."

"Thanks."

"Does he have anything to for with this? If he has, then he'll not make it today alive." She put her hands on my shoulder and smiled.

"No, he doesn't." I smiled back and walked to the door.

I found Chase exactly where Ivy said he would be. He was sitting comfortably on the cough with his legs on the table reading a magazine.

"Chase?" I called.

He looked up from the magazine,"What?"

"When do I sign the deal?" I asked.

I saw the look on his face. He was clearly shocked at what I was saying. "You serious?" He asked.

"Why? Can't I be serious?" I asked irritated.

"One minute." Then he disappeared out of my sight. He returned five minutes later with a pen and some papers which he handed to me.

"What is this?" I asked.

"Don't you know how to read?"

I suppressed my anger and gave him a thin smile. I read it. It was the contract. It said I would receive a payment of one million dollars in return that I pretend to be his fiancée for four months. No problem with the money. I would have done it for a few thousand dollars considering my situation right now.

I read further down. He had written some rules which I had to follow. They were about ten. When I reached the last rule I was shocked.

I will not fall in love with him.

"Woah! Do you think that I'll ever fall in love with you?" I asked with irritation.

"Nope. But just in case." He smirked.

God. Take me.

"Whatever." I put my signature on the paper.

"Oh yeah!"

"I have one condition."

"And what is that?"

"I need advance payment."

"Huh! Nobody gets paid before they've actually completed their work." He said confidently that made me want to smash his face.

"I do."

"Nobody does." And he walked away waving the paper at me.

Crap. I shouldn't have signed it without putting up my condition. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Its okay. Four months and you're a free bird. I assured myself but the thought of following him like his tail for four months made me want to scream.
