Is it over now?
Taylor swift
“You’re a girl… Aren’t you?”
I tried assuring myself that he is just meddling with me. "What are you doing here?"
"What are you doing here?" He playfully asked and I took deep breaths. "I felt kinda nauseated, you see, I'm not a very social person," Again for the nth time I lied to his damn face.
He still had skepticism in his eyes. "I am many things but a girl, Vi."
I laughed as if it was the best joke in the whole ass world.
He just looked at me as if I'm the biggest ass in the world.
You know, he crossed his arms and narrowed his eyes then passed a judgemental look as if trying to work out which planet I belonged to. I chuckled nervously before trying to walk past him, back down.
"Then what's with the stuff on your front?" Vivaan just asked and I was lucky he was facing my back cause I made a funny face. "What, I got man boobs, we all do haha," Seriously Aditi? A haha?
"Just stop pretending man," I finally turned to his side, giving him my full closure. "Or I should say, bitch?"
“Even if it is what you think, who the fuck are you to call me a bi-” Vivaan laughed bitterly.
“So it's true, huh? Fuckin-”
“I’m older than you Vi! Don't you dare swear at me!”
“Oh yeah? How about behaving like one then?” He covered the distance between us at a quick speed, making me gulp harshly. “You are all the same, all here for the same shit, spawing the same fucking bullshit everytime! Get the fuck out of m-”
"That's it, Vivaan. This is over," I said storming out of the hallways.
Who the fuck is he to call me a bitch!?
"Run, This time I won't come after you," He yelled at me, while I was running from him. This is me, always running from my problems and not facing them.
But something in me doesn't want me to give up on him, them.
"Listen to me before you say anything," I marched to the poarch where he was standing, almost waiting for me to explain.
"Again, meh I'm tired of your lies, Aditya or what's your real name? Nisha, Shruthi, nidhi-"
"Jerk"
"Jerk? Perfect for you,"
What the hell is wrong with him? What happened to the golden boy, Vivaan? Where is he hiding now?
"You know what, you don't deserve an explanation," I made that slut face I did to my ex boyfriend when I broke up with him and worst of all, it did feel like a break up. Best friends break up, that is.
"I deserve everything, bitch,"
That's it. He was going overboard. I mean, we haven't even got married, what the fuck was wrong with him? That's when I decided that he deserved everything, most of all, at a time like this, a punch in the face.
So I gave it to him.
A punch in the face.
"You did not just punch me, oh my fucking go-"
"I did asshole,"
He didn't deserve my friendship like any of my ugly ass friends, well, not you my precious gems.
"Suck it," I said, flashing my middle finger at him before leaving and I meant it this time.

Mornings are great, but not today. Only because it is results day. I know it is obvious that I get in but also I learnt that we should have some pressure on us to get going sometimes. And that pressure was in disguise as my Uncle Binoy.
He arrived last night and bugged me all night about how his son's got into aviation school and blah blah. Who cares if his sons drove a flight, imma drove a stake through his heart very soon, and you know, I am waiting.
"Aditi, come on, open the laptop," Ma shouted from the kitchen. Bubloo was Facetiming mom and I was glad to know that my scores are being telecasted state wide by my mother.
I opened my laptop and typed the url. My heart was in my hands. I was sweating like I just ran a four hundred meter race. I was furious. With my eyes closed, I clicked enter and waited for ma or uncle to say something. After what felt like two hours, I opened my eyes and looked at the screen.
That’s it. I’m in.
A solid 671 mark damn it.
Bangalore Uni, here I come

Whatever our young man in bermuda shorts and red Tee was feeling, was not something he favored. He paced his bedroom at a quick speed while waiting for a shout from his family any time now. Just as he was about to scream at his brother to make it quick, his mother shouted.
“Ved!! You got 704!”
“74?”
“Seven fuc- ouch ma- seven hundred and fuc- MA! THAT HURTS! Seven hundred and four!”
His brother and mom went on to bicker but nothing mattered to him right now. He had made it.
He looked out of his bedroom window and allowed a big grin to settle on his face.
Bangalore Uni, here I come.

"Arey yaars!!!! Guess who just got into Bangalore Uni?" She didn't give time for them to answer. "It's me! Aditya!!!"
"Aditi, to be exact." Aryan corrected her with his hoarse voice. "You have to remember that you are gonna wanna grow hair and be a girl very soon,"
"Okay dad," Aditi said, not taking any of his words, frustrated. "So, it asks for partayyyy bishes!" Anu shouts from her house.
"I am leaving on the 13th, which is ten days from now," Aditi played with her hair while Aryan mentally slapped her. "I leave on the 15th ladies," Anu said, curling her hair.
Anu got accepted to Bangalore Institute of Technology. She had big offers from many top recruited Universities, but she chose Bangalore.
"And since you guys are shipping off to Bangalore, I am also trying to get a transfer there!" Aryan squealed like he was one of those guys. But he is clearly not.
"No way! Aryan!" Aditi shouted as if she just won a lottery. "You ain't!"
"Yes I am!" He said sternly.
"This definitely calls for a partayyyy," Anu said barging into Aditi's room.
"What the fuck? How did you teleport here?"
"You two nitwits were so occupied in arguing that you didn't mind me coming here," Anu said, taking a seat behind her.
"And me too!" Aryan stomped on Aditi's bedroom door.
"What the actual fuck?" Aditi was about to faint in astonishment. "You live five hundred miles away!"
"Should I spell it out? S U R P R I S E!" Aryan said, in the most un surprising way.
"Howwwwwww?"
"Let's just say, I got pretty good editing skills," Aryan smirked.
"Get lost!"
The trio partied as if it was the last day of their lives. Aditi even got drunk, turns out she is not a goody two shoes anymore. Anu imagined herself as one of the members of BlackPink and started singing. Not in Korean but in Gibberish. Aryan was the sober driver. He made sure the girls were in check and got home safely.
Time flew as fuck. Within a blink of time, it was the day of Aditi's departure to her college.

Aditi's PoV:
Goddammit! I'm not going forever! I'm just going to college and I would come back here every week, for my mother's sake. She has been crying since last week.
"Mom, for the hundredth time, I'm just going to Bangalore! It's like I'm going to live next door!" I said stuffing my toiletries into my suitcase.
"It's just, Kanna, I wish your father was here to drive you there," she weeps in between her cry. "Ma, I'm just a call away, I'll rush here if you feel like you want me with you, okay? I promise,"
I held her pinky finger and wrapped it with mine. "Aditi never breaks promises," With that, she wiped her tears and helped me pack the bags.
Infact, I missed him a lot these past days. The college shopping, the dinners, the fee payments and every single minute I think about college. He was very excited for me in every single step I took.
Our family was the ideal one any person would ask for before my dad passed. We were all on cloud nine.
Anyways, the past is the past.
And Amma, Anu and Aryan are going to drop me in college. So I guess this is the last memory of my dad at my house. With that, I took the photo of ma,pa and me and kept it carefully in the other suitcase.

"Seriously ma! No torn Jeans!" Vedant cried from his room. "What's with the people wearing something already torn?"
"My son, you, don't belong in this era," that didn't stop His mother from packing the torn Jeans for him.
"She said it, bro," Vivaan gave his mom a hifi and smirked at Vedant. "Then you must see the new boxers that mom bought for you!"
Vedant chased Vivaan as if he was a lion and Vi was a deer. Within a second, they were back to their childhood, with mom running behind them to catch Ved and Vi making fun faces after his mom caught his older sibling.
Their mom ruffled both their hair.
"I can't believe my two boys are leaving me for college already," She said and looked down. "And your thingummies are also grown, Ved, Vi, take care of everything well," That one woman of the mother meant their junks and winked! God bless the sons!
"I'm going out and never coming back to you!" Vivaan said out of embarrassment.
"Ma! Not now, and don't ever talk about this when we go to college! I beg of you!" Vedant pleaded with his mother. It was a cute scene to watch the Velans play with their mother.
"Say bye to Dobby," Mom said, meaning their cat.
The two Velans said bye to Dobby and boarded their car.
