Chapter 127 - Michael's Clarity

Paul's POV

I sit on the bed as I watch the clock strike 12. I get up peeking out the bedroom curtain, waiting.

"1,2--" I count looking at my watch. I hear my door open, knowing it's Latoya as I keep counting. "3..."

"What are you doing?" she asks as I hold a finger up counting to 20. I look out seeing the gates open and close right on the dot as I take a pen writing it down. She snatches the paper from me reading what's on it as she squinches her nose up.

"What's this?" she giggles looking up at me as I walk to my bedroom door cracking it as I peek out watching the security stand outside the halls as I count how many. I close the door quietly as I look back at her rolling up my sleeves as I take the paper from her.

"I'm making a plan to get us the hell out of here." I mutter as she stares at me.

"You mean....escape!?" she hisses out as I shush her quickly nodding to the door.

"I've been timing the switch off's and what time that gate opens and closes. It's like clockwork. And if my plan works we can get out of this."

"Paul--I told you, I can't." she says staring at me as I stare back at her.

"Why?"

"Because Paul. You don't know what he's capable of and--"

"He doesn't know what I'm capable of either." I say looking back at her. "That's what his downfall is. He doesn't know his enemy."

"Paul! This isn't like one of your action movies where you will always save the day and walk out of here like you're James Bond. You haven't been around Jack in years. He's gotten smarter of the years I've been with him, and he's unpredictable."

"Then help me." I stare at her.

"What?"

"Help me. I mean you know the exits of this place and how these people are. We can get out of here, Toya."

She looks down, crossing her arms as I sigh out sitting on the bed.

"I want to walk out of here with you." I whisper staring at the floor. "You're right. I don't know what he's capable of. That's why I need your help. You deserve a better life than this, Latoya. No woman deserves to have their body, confidence, pride, and self worth beaten down. I've seen if happen to the woman I'm in love with....I don't want to see it happen to you."

She stays silent as she slowly makes her way to the door, before turning around.

"If we are going to do this, we need to do this without getting caught."

I look up a her, nodding slowly. "I promise."

Winnie's POV

"You know--I just realized something. " Clifton says in awe gaping at Michael as we watching him dance on stage.

"What's that?"

"We are witnessing a legend." he breathes out as I bite my lip down to keep from laughing. Not the fact that Michael is a legend--at the fact Clifton was such a geek when it came to Michael's performances.

"I'm serious...." he fixes his glasses looking over at me. "Think about it. Someday we are going to be 50 years old, telling our kids the time we witnessed someone this great. Like--someday people will see videos, and pictures of moments like this....and they will wish they could have been apart of it, you know? Like witnessing something great like we are.......seeing a legend rise."

I stay silent looking over at Michael as he is on the side of the stage giggling with Tatiana, as everything he said begins to set in.

What would the world be like without Michael? I furrow my eyebrows as I try to imagine it all. Would Tati be with Paul or as happy as she is when she's around Michael?

I stare at her as she playfully rolls her eyes at Michael, shaking her head at something he said. I couldn't help but notice that she seemed to have this glow about her since she's been around with Michael that I've never seen before.

Which only made me determined to keep them together.

"Winnie!"

I jump looking over at Clifton, his hand resting on my shoulder. "I kept saying your name and you were in a daze."

"Sorry...." I give a sheepish smile. "I was just thinking..." I clear my throat. "You know...about Paul."

"Win, maybe he's just hiding out to clear his head, you know?"

I shrug. "There's a lot that could be a factor." I hold up a finger, listing each point. "One possibility is he could be hiding out to clear his head. Two, he could be in trouble. Three, he's plotting to get Tatiana."

"So what can we do? We already went to Paul's house."

I bite my lip. Before we left for tour, Clifton and I rode our bikes to Paul's house.

Technically we weren't breaking in because we had a key, but we couldn't even stand outside of the gate due to the police at his home investigating.

"We need to keep them together. And maybe we should-- tell Michael Paul is missing...."

"We can't tell him!" Clifton hisses. "What are we gonna .? 'Hey Michael, the dude who is trying to take your girl is missing?"

"Paul is missing?"

We both turn around seeing Michael behind us staring at us.

"Well....that's one way to do it." I mumble under my breath.

**

I find myself sitting on the bed, nervously watching Michael pacing the room. After rehearsal Tatiana and everyone had an interview MTV.

Michael was able to leave, having Clifton and I go with him. The whole ride here was silent and us sitting in his room, as Michael paces the room is making me nervous.

"How long?" he finally asks as Clifton and I look up at him.

"Uhm, a month in a half ago....when we called..." I whisper quietly as he clenches and unclenches his jaw, in deep thought.

"Who all knows?"

"Not many people." Clifton mutters. "Not for long though."

I shoot him a look as he shrugs. "It's true."

"No one else will know." Michael says calmly. "I promise."

"But what about Tat--"

"I'll take care of it. For now, I don't want her knowing...okay?" Michael whispers softly. "I promise I'll take care of everything."

We both stare at him as he smiles. "I need you two to trust me okay?" he asks raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah, alright..." Clifton mutters as I sigh out nodding.

"Good." he smiles lightly.

I stare at him the worry still in his eyes.

Karen's POV

"No one else will know." I hear Michael say softly. "I promise."

I move away from the door, walking down the hall as I go in a telephone booth, dialing.

"Jack? They know."

"Know what?" his monotone voice rings in the phone.

"Paul."

"Who all knows?"

"Michael, and these two brats of Tatiana's who we tried to chase down." I scoff.

"Have they seen you yet?"

"No."

He sits back in his chair as he grips the phone tightly. "Well...make sure they do. And scare them up a bit. We need to stick to the plan. I want Michael.....dead."

"And Tatiana?"

He remains quiet before chuckling. "I'll be creative with that one." he hisses before hanging up.

Michael's POV

I hold Tati in my arms, staring at the ceiling, as she sleeps on my chest. I listen to her soft breathing, feeling her heart beat against mine.

I knew I had to tell her Paul was missing.

But I also knew she would leave. Even though Paul did lie to her, it was out of love when I wasn't loving her--like I should have.

It was more than obvious to everyone that I didn't have fuzzy feelings for Paul, but it wasn't for the reasons everyone assumed.

It wasn't for him being in love with Tatiana....it was what he did with his love that I didn't do. All of the times I hurt her, he took care of her. Through everything...our breakup, her car accident, the miscarriage. He supported and loved her through it all, when I didn't.

He was able to hold her almost everyday, when I craved for her but had to much pride to say so. He was able to be there emotionally and physically through any and everything possible.

I know Tatiana still loved him, perhaps not in the way she loves me--but she still had love towards him.

I know that if she heard he was missing, she's go find him. And if so...would she fall in love with him?

Would she realize he was the one?

I hold her tighter as I feel a lump form in my throat, coming to a realization on why I truly hated him, and why I didn't want to tell her the truth...

Paul Walker was a better man than I was, or what I could have been.

Hello darlings,

I know some of you have been inboxing me and asking about the drama. Trust me okay? My thing as a writer is to drop the hints, insignificant things (at the time), and etc, before the big bang. I literately planned this whole book out and what will happen and etc, and it's up to you to figure them out! Besides, I get a kick out of listening to everyone's theories!

And I had to build their relationship up because they were separated for like over 30 chapters....I kinda owe them.

I got you guys this far with more drama than the Bad Girls Club, and your grandma's soap opera's. So I got this....keep calm and Michael on. <3
