Chapter 25
Chapter 25:
Trey Denver:
I stripped off my school shorts and threw them across the room with a fling.
They landed beside my wall and I grabbed my denim jeans that had previously been scrawled across my bed that hadn't been made in days.
From my room I could hear some screaming and could easily recognise the two voices as my mother and father.
What a surprise my dad had decided to show himself at home.
Maybe mother may leave me alone if they continued fighting.
Smiling to myself I pulled the jeans over my legs while trying my best not to trip over.
I pulled the zipper up and laced my fingers around the white button of my school shirt and popped it out of the hole, continuing to do the same for the rest.
I threw the shirt across the room, my muscles flaring up as I did so.
The shirt landed somewhere in my filthy room, and I could honestly say that I didn't give two rats about the state of it.
Nobody ever commented on it, I wondered why.
Oh, that's right, my parents hated me.
I heard banging noises from outside my room and I raised one of my dark eyebrows and trudged over to the crack in the door, listening for what was going on out there.
I lent my ear from the crack in the door felt a cool breeze and a rush of wind that usually creaked through the bottom of my door.
I could hear fist sounding against my door and I pulled away and backed up against my far door, my eyes slitting closed.
I breathed in a heavy breath as my dad entered my bedroom with this smug look on his face.
"Hello son."
"Don't you dare talk to me as though you actually want to talk to me!" I growled lowly at him.
His large hand made its way from his side and up to his bright red face that had a growing beard on it.
"Well, don't you dare talk yo me like that!" He yelled with strength and threw his beer bottle across the room and the glass shattered on my floor, some of the glass bouncing of the floor and back into the air.
I felt a spike run down my cheek and I gasped in pain, my hand reached out to feel a wet liquid running from my cheek.
I looked at my finger to see that it was a red colour and I glared at my father.
"Now piss off, I was in the middle of getting changed if you could see."
"Oh, I though you were just trying to show off your body. Next time I suggest you keep that shirt on. You have a gigantic bruise from your mother." My father said all too calmly.
"Leave!" I shouted at him and my father rolled his eyes, leaving the room with calmness.
Once he had left I sighed deeply and opened up my window so that I could jump off.
Before climbing out the window I grabbed a plain black shirt from underneath my new and shoved it on over my head.
I lifted my leg up and sat it on the edge if the window, lifting my other keg up so that I was in a crouching position.
I dropped my left leg so it carefully stood onto the legend outside the widow and I followed suite with the other leg.
Crouching down on the edge I closed my eyes and breathed in deeply, jumping onto the ground with a thud.
Smiling to myself I walked over to my leaning motorbike, jumping on it.
I started the bike up and flew down the road with simple ease and once I got to the Cinemas in Ettalong I parked on the side of the road where the Ettalong Markets were held.
They weren't open though because it was a weekday.
I jumped off my bike and trudged over to the entrance of the movies and waved at Garvey who stood leaning against a cream coloured pole in which was sitting on a small, mauve platform.
Harvey was wearing his usual attire with his blue beanie, black jeans and a burgundy t-shirt and he also was wearing his chain necklace.
His curly moustache from earlier was still prominent but I was sure that nobody else would notice it.
"Hey dude." I said and he smiled at me and waded past a group of girls to get to me.
"Hey. How'd you cut your cheek, it's really recent?"
"Yeah I did it a few seconds before I got here." I said faking a laugh as though it was funny.
"How?" Harvey questioned me.
"Chill bro, stop asking so many questions. You know I'm clumsy."
"True that." Harvey laughed, his eyes rolling.
"Now let's actually go in so we can pay for our tickets." I suggested.
"Yep, alright." Harvey responded as we walked inside.
When we entered the movies I spotted a mop of red heir before it disappeared and I raise both of my eyebrows, giving Garvey a questioning look.
I was sure that heir looked exactly like Fox's.
The person now standing there was nerdy girl who was in my class.
Her hair was down and straight and from the back of her I could evidently see that her glasses were none existent.
When she turned around slightly, her eyes darting around the place in nervousness I could clearly see her face with those beautiful eyes of her.
Damn she was actually smoking hot.
What the actual hell?
I nudged Harvey arm but he didn't even flinch as he was too shocked at the way the nerd looked.
"Bro, she hot." Harvey boggled when a flash of a face came to view.
It couldn't be Fox right?
"Fox?" I called out.
They both turned around and the hot nerd blushed.
Fox's eyes widened and he started scratching at his arms and his tongue poked out.
The guy must have been nervous.
Harvey and I walked over towards them and we both faced each other giving a look of curiosity as to why Fox was here with Ellie Roger and as to why she had suddenly gotten model like.
I looked down an inch to see that their hands were intertwined and my eyes widened in shock.
What the eff was going on?
"Fox why are you here? I thought you had family stuff on?" I asked the guy who still had his tongue poked out and the hand that wasn't in Ellie's hand scratched as his arm more.
"Um, you see, um that's the thing, I lied." Fox said, his eyes averting to the ground.
I sighed and beside me Harvey rubbed his forehead, the beanie almost falling off.
"Why did you have to lie to us. Why couldn't you tell us about her!" Harvey shouted and the nerdy girl, Ellie stared at the ground, half hiding behind Fox.
"Our relationship was a secret. Her parents can't find out about this." Fox said in a freaked tone.
"Why not and why would we tell her parents when we don't know them?" I asked him.
"Not even Ellie's best friend knows and also a bit because we were scared that you'd judge us. A bad boy and a nerd, let's be realistic and her parents can't find our because they hate me, or at least my kind, our kind." Fox mumbled to the ground.
The two of them were just as bad as each other.
I rolled my eyes and Harvey spoke up again.
"Hey, dude we weren't going to judge you if you decided to tell us."
Just before Fox was going to answer a ringing came from his pocket and he picked it up and answered it, letting go of Ellie's hand.
All his attention was on the phone.
"What do you mean dad?" Fox said in a shaky voice and Ellie looked at him with concern.
Everyone stood staring at the poor guy as he talked to his dad on the phone and to say I was surprised that he was willingly talking to his dad on the phone was an understatement.
Fox never got along with his dad because he had this stupid idea of perfect for Fox and god that guy was nowhere near perfect, but no matter how much Harvey and I teased the guy we both respected him so much because of how he took life even though he has his dad issues and doesn't kept them effect him in anyway.
"No! Dad I'm coming right now, I don't give a shit about staying here just to watch a movie when this, this has happened!" He yelled through the phone and the three of us gave him worried glances.
"Yep, okay, bye. I'll be there as soon as I can." He sighed and turned around hugging Ellie, whispering things in her ear.
"It's okay. Want me to come with you?" Ellie asked in a whisper.
"Yeah." He whispered, "I think it's time toy met my dad anyway, seen as the secrets out."
Harvey and I studied the both of them with curiosity.
What in earth were they talking about.
What happened?
"Mum." He whispered and stared at the floor.
"Your mum, what happened?" Harvey asked and Fox looked at Ellie and she decided to open her mouth fir the first time throughout the night.
"Alex's mum is in the hospital. She's been in a car accident." Ellie said as Fox ran off, most likely starting up his motorbike while waiting for Ellie who seconds later ran off after him.
Harvey and I were left standing there gobsmacked.
"I feel bad now, going to see this movie." Harvey sighed and I nodded my head in agreement.
"Come on, we'll follow them." I suggested.
"Alright." Harvey agreed and we raced out of the movies and both hopped on our motorbikes.
Harvey and I could only just see their shadows but we knew where they were going.
I just hoped that Fox was alright.
(When I have "eff" in this chapter it's actually the actual f word and there's probably other parts where I could put swear words there to emphasise the point but I feel uncomfortable writing like heavy swear words. I'll write shit, piss and a very rare sl*t but not other ones. Yes I'm weird, oh and I think there's a conversation mistake throughout there too, so apologies. Enjoy!)
