Your were scared breathless. With a raise of his hand, Zane commanded some evil spirits to his side. You could not see them, but you could feel their tiny claws holding your arms behind you. The most creepy, was that you could feel their slimy tongues against your bloody wing stubs. You shiver. You move your attention away from the demons, and back to Zane, with the same frightening sneer glued to his face. "Please! Zane, what's wrong with you?! Is it something I did? Whatever it is, it's not worth it! Please!" Zane laughs with pity," Oh,(y/ n)....(y/ n).. You will never know how much I wanted your power, instead Rochelle had to choose you! I worked so hard to become The five flyers leader! Then she saw you, and then she choose you! I waited so long for this,(y/ n)! You don't know how 'worth it' it really is!" You were scared and confused,"What are you talking about?!?!" Zane opened his mouth to speak, but instead blood sprayed on your face and body. You spit out the blood that landed in your mouth and see Zane, headless, on the floor next to you. You cry," Zane, please, no! I'm sorry!" It was crazy, but you rested your head on Zanes lifeless, headless, soulless body. "(Y/ n)? ....." You jerk you head upwards. Your mind struggled to find an explanation, but unfortunately, it could not, so you stumbled backwards in fear. Zane started after you,"(y/ n)! Please it's me, I'm sorry, that's wasn't me! Please, let me explain!" You back yourself into the wall, next to the window. It was your chance to escape. Then you realize you have no wings, and the pain comes back to you, remembering. Ill just wing it. (Pun intended) You squeeze your eyes shut and jump. Zane calls after you, as you plummet down into the bushes below. You land with a loud crack and thud. Twigs and branches are pierced into your skin from the fall. Attempting to stand, a jolt of pain runs through you. You limp and try to run down the street, calling for help. My ankles broken. Fantastic. "(Y/n)! Stop!" You heard the footsteps of Zane behind you getting closer. I can't get anywhere with this! Your body had enough. It was aching all over, and needed to rest. You abruptly and suddenly collapse, right as Zane catches you. You want to escape, but your body is too sore to move a muscle. Zane just holds you in his arms for moment, making you stare into those diamond blue eyes you once loved. In that moment, not a word was spoken. Zane broke into tears. He wouldn't look at you anymore. "I-I'm so sorry. There's no words that I can say to make you believe that I love you, and that I am sorry......" You open your mouth to respond, but is closed immediately. Zane presses his lips against yours, and you don't hold back. You kiss him. You and Zane were rudely interrupted by Laurance's voice,"(y/ n)! Are you okay!?" Zane last you go, and you fumble to stand up. You fellow flyers gasp in pity and sorrow. Laurance hugs you," What happened!?!" You glance at Zane, who is looking down, while individual tears hitting the asphalt. You break away from Laurance and hug Zane. It's okay....let's go home....so you can explain.. The flyers reassure you that your wings will grow back, possibly. This, I would have to say, was the worst date ever.
