Ch. 3

I looked at Optimus worriedly. Ratchet came running from his lab.

"What is it?" he asked frantically.

"It's Star! Something happened," I replied as I ran into Star's room.

"Please... help him," Star said as the others rushed in.

"He- he was just talking then he ... grabbed his chest... and - an," she started sobbing uncontrollably.

Optimus helped Ratchet get Bee to the medical bay while I stayed behind with Star. She handed her daughter to me. I had tears running down my face, but I forced myself to stay strong for my niece and Star, who was crying her optics out. I sat down on the bed, holding the sparkling in my arms.

"He's going to be okay. He has to be," I whispered.

"Bumblebee is a fighter, you can't stop his natural programing," Star said between sobs.

She calmed herself down enough, so she took her daughter back. I watched her rock the young sparkling to sleep. Then, together we went to the medical bay.

"What the scrap is wrong with him and why are you going to electrocute him!?" Star asked.

Optimus took her hand and led her out of the room.

Come on, bro. You have to come back to us. We need you. Your family needs you, I thought as I stood by, tears still running down my face.

"Clear," Ratchet said as he turned on the machine for a few seconds, then turned it back off.

He fired up the machine a second time, but that didn't work, either. JetFire then entered the room, led by Optimus.

"Doctor, that will never fix the poor lad. He needs a new spark," JetFire said.

"Well if I had an extra spark just lying around don't you think I would have used it by now?" Ratchet replied, frustrated.

"Let him have my spark. Please, let this old Decepticon go out saving a life," he offered as he opened his spark-chamber.

Ratchet nodded and put JetFire's spark in Bee. There was a long silence and then a soft hum.

"Haha! Yes! Thank the Primes!" he cheered happily.

"BlueStreak go tell Optimus and StarCatcher the good news," he added.

I nodded happily as I left. I ran into Star's room.

"He's going to be okay! JetFire...he...gave his spark to save Bee," I said, suddenly realizing the sacrifice that was made.

I then noticed that Star's little girl was still sleeping.
Whoops. I hope I didn't wake her, I thought.
A cry came from the cradle.
"Scrap," I mumbled.

Star stood up, walked over to the cradle and picked her up.

"Hey, there my little honeysuckle. It's okay. Shhhhhhh, shhhhhh. Your daddy is okay, and that was just Aunt Blue see," she tilted her head up so she could see me.

Optimus then took my hand and led me out of the room.

"We never got to finish, or rather start our date," he said with a smile.

I blushed and turned my head away shyly.

"If those stupid tinfoil turkeys come back, I'm going to rip their faces off," I said.

"Yeah, I'll help," he replied with a smirk.

"Come with me, Ratchet has Bee stable and Star has the sparkling to take care of. The sun is just now setting, so if we leave now then we could make it in time," he added.

I smiled and followed my sparkmate. The two of us drove off and he led me to a forest with a large clearing. The stars were out and it was an overall beautiful night.

"Your optics look just as beautiful as you, my sweetspark," Optimus complimented as he pulled me close.

I blushed and rested my head against his chest.
"You're not too bad yourself, fatty," I teased.

He wrapped his arms around my waist and rested his head on mine.

"Yeah I'm the fat one and not Clank," he replied sarcastically.

"What would happen if we got a kid?" he asked after a few seconds.

I thought for a moment.
"Well, I really don't know," I replied.
I looked up at Optimus and smiled.

"It would be amazing, but I'm perfectly happy with you," I said as I kissed his lips.

"I'm happy with you too, BlueStreak," he replied, kissing me back.

After a few minutes, I heard a flapping sound.
Wait an astrosecond, I know that sound! I thought.

The Dakras are metal birds that find homes for new sparklings. The bird landed next to us, then flew away after dropping a cradle off. I let go of Optimus and knelt down to open the cradle. I picked up the little sparkling and looked at my sparkmate with a big smile on my face.

"Is... am I..." he paused and looked at me, then at the sparkling.

"Can I hold him?" he asked after a few seconds.
I chuckled.

"Of course. He's your son after all," I said as I handed him the sparkling.

I thought about what his name will be, when I remembered something.

"Hey babe, what was your name before you became a Prime?" I asked.

"My name? It was Orion Pax. Why?" he asked.

"We should name him Orion then, after you," I replied with a smile as I walked closer to him and wrapped my arms around my new family.

"Alright, Orion it is," Optimus replied.
I am going protect my family with all my spark.

^Time skip 6 days cuz why not and Bee^

I sighed as I walked to our room for the fifth time today. I picked up my son and held him close.

"You're a handful, you know that? It's a good thing I love you to death," I said with a smile.

"Heh, you got that right beautiful," Optimus said as he walked in and kissed my forehead.

"How's he doing?" he asked.
Orion made a little sound, which made me chuckle.

"I was just about to go check on Bee with him," I mentioned.

Optimus came with us to go check on my brother. When we got there, Star was talking with Bee, who was now awake. He saw us and was shocked. I shoved Orion in my sparkmate's arms then ran up to my brother.

"You're awake!" I exclaimed as I wrapped him in a hug.

Bee smiled and hugged back.
"How long was I out?" he asked.
"About a week, but it felt like a year," Star replied.
A faint cry could be heard in the distance.

I know that's not Orion. It has to be Star and Bee's, I thought and I was right.

Star ran off only to come back a minute later with their sparkling who she handed to Bee.

"Hey there, little angel. I see you got all your colors," he said with a smile, which made me smile.

I wonder when Orion will get his colors, I thought as I put my arm around my sparkmate.

Optimus handed Orion back to me. I held him close and cradled him in my arms.

"She doesn't have a name yet. I figured we should talk about it first," Star said.

"Okay. What do you want to name her?" Bee asked as he tickled his daughter.

"I was thinking something like Cass or Cascade," Star replied with a smile.

"Cascade it is then," my brother said.
"That's a beautiful name," I complimented.
"Agreed," Star replied with a smile.

***********Time skip one year***********

I woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of crying. I looked over at my sparkmate.

"Hey babe," I said, but no reply.
"Optimus," I said again, but still nothing.

I smirked when an idea came to me. I shoved him off of the bed.

"It's your turn," I said.

I heard Optimus whisper something, but I didn't know what it was because I had fallen back asleep.

    ---------------

I slowly woke up when Optimus kissed my cheek.
"It's time to wake up beautiful," he said.
I yawned.

"Morning," I said as I got out of bed and went over to Orion.

He giggled happily as I picked him up.
"How'd you sleep, my little Prime?" I asked Orion.

He made a happy noise, which made me smile. I walked over to Optimus.

"And how'd you sleep, my big Prime?" I asked as I gave him a kiss.

"Fine up until Jazz and IronHide woke Orion and me up," Optimus replied.

He tickled Orion and smiled at us, then left.

Hm. Something must be bothering him. I hope he's okay, I thought.

I lied back down on the bed and snuggled with Orion for a few minutes.

"Don't worry, daddy will be back soon," I told him.
He made a sad sound.

"Aw, it's okay, baby. Mommy's here," I said comfortingly.

I looked at him and smiled. He had green like me and red like his father.

"Even when you're older, you will always be my little Prime," I said as I kissed his head, making him giggle.

I picked him up and said, "Come on, let's go find your cousin."

As we walked to the main room, I heard StarCatcher yelling at somebot.

Sounds like someone's going to get dismantled. It's probably Ironhide and Jazz again, I thought with a smile.

"That's why you never get on Aunt Star's bad side," I warned Orion.

He made a little noise in reply. I went into Star's room and saw Cascade playing with her blanket.

"Hey, how's my favorite niece? I brought you a playmate," I said to Cascade as I set Orion in the playpen next to her.

Her colors were white like her mom and yellow like her dad.

"Alright you two. Behave. I have to go make sure Star doesn't dismantle anyone," I said as I walked away.

Suddenly there was a loud bang, followed by the sound of blasters.

Scrap, that doesn't sound good, I thought as I ran to all the commotion.

I saw StarCatcher fighting some Cons, including Starscream.

"Hey rustbucket!" I exclaimed angrily as I got out my blue and green sword.

I tackled him to the ground.
"Don't you know how to knock?" I asked.

"I did, but nobody answered, so I thought I'd let myself in," he replied.

"You have some nerve coming here. I don't know whether it's bravery or stupidity," I taunted.

"Neither. It's pure genius," Starscream replied.

"If you think this is genius, then you're an idiot," I said.

Starscream glared at me. Star had called the other bots, so the Decepticon commander called for reinforcements.

Great, just what we need, I thought.

"Hey Blue! Time for some heavy artillery!" I heard Star yell.

"Understood," I replied as I took out my blasters.

We shot at the enemy. The other Autobots soon joined us.
