Chapter 3
~Coma dream~
The silent night air was betrayed by flashes of explosions far off in the distance. I watched a scene appear in silence. A bot ran through the night, carrying something. They stopped in front of a house in the suburbs of the city.
"Goodbye, my little Hot Shot. Be good, okay? I love you," the strange female bot said as she set down the cradle.
Then, she knocked on the door before running away. I watched a bot open the door and look down. They looked shocked as they quickly picked up the young sparkling before closing the door. The scene changed back to the mysterious female bot running again. She stopped at another house.
"Goodbye, my little princess. Don't worry about your younger brother; he'll be fine. I know someday we'll all see each other again, whether it's in this life or the next. I know you'll be the best daughter ever. I love you, BlueStreak," she said before kissing the other sparkling's forehead.
Wait, what!? But... that's impossible. There's no way, I thought.
Then, she knocked on the door and left. A black and green bot open the door. I instantly recognized him.
"Dad!" I called, but of course he didn't hear me.
I watched him pick the sparkling up as she started to cry.
"There, there. It's okay," he comforted her.
"Breeze!" he called to his sparkmate.
A blue and yellow bot walked up next to him, holding another sparkling. I recognized her and the other sparkling, too, even though he didn't have his colors yet.
"Mom! Bee!" I tried calling again, but it was no use.
I felt tears running down my face. My parents were right there, so close and yet so far. That's when I remembered what had actually happened. My mom and dad weren't actually my parents, which meant Bee wasn't actually my brother. I thought back to the first sparkling and remembered who he was. Hot Shot was my long lost younger brother! However, that would mean....no.
This is just a dream. There's no way Hot Shot is my brother because Bee is and always has been. Yeah, this is just a dream...

*Time Skip four weeks brought to you by she's adopted!?*
"Come on BlueStreak, please wake up. Please."
I instantly recognized the voice. Optimus! I slowly opened my optics and smiled when I saw him.
"H-hey," I greeted.
He smiled widely and stood to kiss me.
"You're awake! I have been worried sick about you," he said.
"How long was I out?" I asked.
He sat back down and held my hand.
"Four weeks...four very long weeks. You were in a coma, Star said it was from energon loss," he replied.
I sighed. I felt bad for worrying everybot.
"Anything new happen?" I asked.
"No, nothing new," he replied.
I nodded.
*Time skip 2 days brought to you by Michael BOOM*
I've been awake from the coma for two days. The dream I had has been constantly on my mind, bugging me every day and night. I decided to avoid Hot Shot for a while until I could get things sorted out. I didn't want to tell him about the things that have been on my mind lately, mainly because I thought that it would end in an argument. I tried to figure things out as I trained.
"Hey."
I turned around and saw Hot Shot.
Great. Just what I needed.
I stopped training, put my weapons away, and started to walk out.
"Not this time. You've been avoiding me for two days. Why?" he asked, stopping me.
"It's nothing," I replied.
"Really? Because it certainly seems like it's something," he said.
"Look, it's none of your business, okay? Just leave me alone," I told him.
"Nope. Not until you tell me what's going on because I noticed you've only been avoiding me and not any bot else, so it is my business," he replied.
"I'm fine, now leave me alone!"
"You know what? Fine!"
He walked out. I heard some bot transform and drive away. I guessed that it was him. I sighed and resumed training, trying to ignore the nagging feeling to go after him and apologize.
That dream didn't help any. In fact, it only made things worse. Although, dreams aren't real. They're just your mind's way of thinking about things while sleeping, right? So then, if Hot Shot isn't my brother but Bee is, and my parents were my real parents, why do I feel the way I do towards Hot Shot? He can't be my sparkmate, can he? I mean, I definitely don't feel the same way with him as I do with Optimus, yet I worry about him as if we were meant for each other.
I sighed and took a break. I sat on the bench and rested my head in my hands.
"Hey beautiful," Optimus said as he walked in and sat down next to me.
"Hey babe," I greeted.
"How are you?" he asked.
"Okay, I guess," I replied.
"I love you so much. But I can tell something is on your mind, what is bothering you?" he asked.
I sighed and decided to tell him about my dream.
"First, I will always love you and you alone," I said, detecting slight worry in his voice.
"Second, ever since Hot Shot got here, there's something about him that bugs me. He's so annoying sometimes, but I can't imagine losing him. When I was in the coma, I had a dream. I watched a female bot separate her two young sparklings. The thing is, one of those sparklings was me and the other was Hot Shot. In other words, according to that dream, Hot Shot is my brother. It doesn't make sense though because Bumblebee's my brother. I'm just so confused right now, I don't know what to do," I explained.
Optimus wrapped an arm around my shoulders.
"We can figure it out. And even if Hot Shot is your brother and Bumblebee isn't, that just means we have a new member to our family. As far as I know you and Bee will always be twins even if it is not biologically. You shouldn't stress over it that much, sure it is confusing but there are mysteries to the universe we were never meant to solve," he said.
I looked up at him and smiled. Then, I wrapped him in a hug.
"Thank you," I whispered.
He hugged me back.
"I will always be here," he replied.
I smiled and let go of the hug.
"I should probably go find Hot Shot. I sort of snapped at him earlier and he ran off," I said as I stood up.
He gave a small nod.
"Alright, please be careful, you have only been awake two days," he said as he stood and gave me a kiss.
" I will," I replied with a smile as I gently poked his nose before leaving to go after Hot Shot.
I transformed and drove outside. I found him sitting on top on a hill. I changed back to bot mode and sat beside him.
"Hey, uh, about earlier...I'm sorry for snapping at you like that and I'm sorry for avoiding you. You didn't do anything, it's just that...I'm trying to figure something out is all," I said.
He sighed.
"I understand. I'm actually trying to figure something out, too," he replied after a moment.
I was surprised for a minute. Does he feel the same way about me as I did about him, but he doesn't know why either? We sat in silence and watched the clouds for a few minutes. My thoughts were interrupted when I noticed something fly through the sky and crash land in the distance, causing me to jump up.
"What was that?" I asked.
"I don't know. Let's go find out," Hot Shot replied as he transformed and drove off.
I knew it was no use to try and stop him, but I was also curious myself, so I followed. When we got there, I saw that it was a ship. I transformed and so did Hot Shot. We looked around for a few minutes.
"Blue, over here!"
I went over to where Hot Shot was and saw that he had found a female Bot who was unconscious, but alive. She had a sleek build and was all black. A red Autobot symbol was painted on her arm.
"Come on, help me get her out," I said.
Hot Shot nodded and together we managed to set her up against a tree.
"Anybot you know?" I asked.
"Nope. You?"
"No, but I feel like I know her."
The mystery bot slowly started to wake up. When she opened her blue-green optics, she smiled.
"BlueStreak...Hot Shot...you're both okay," she said weakly.
I instantly knew who this bot was. I recognized her voice from the dream, but I also recognized the feeling that I felt towards her.
"Mom?" I asked, tears threatening to escape my optics.
She smiled.
"You remember me?" she asked.
"Not really, but I recognize this feeling because it's the same way I feel towards my son," I replied, kneeling down next to her.
"You already have a family...of your own? So much...time has passed," she said.
"Yeah, but right now I'm really confused. However, an explanation can wait. We have to get you back to base so you can get fixed up," I told her.
"Optimus, I need you and Star at my location asap. Hot Shot and I found...a fellow Autobot, but she's hurt, so bring your trailer," I said over the com.
"Okay, we are on our way, hold tight," he replied.
I turned back to the bot.
"Help is on the way," I said.
She just smiled. I smiled back and looked over at Hot Shot. He looked super confused.
He probably doesn't have his own family yet, I thought.
"So, uhm, you seem to know our names, but we don't know yours," he said.
"I'm Night Viper," she replied, her blue-green optics glowing with happiness, despite the pain that she must be in from the crash.
The tears that I have been trying so hard to hold back now started to silently run down my face. After about ten minutes, Optimus and Star arrived. Star went straight to the bot as Optimus came over to me.
"Are you okay?" he asked.
"Yeah, it's just that...this bot, Night Viper...I think she's my mom," I replied.
He put an arm around my shoulders.
"That's good news, right? I mean you always said you missed your parents. Blue, it's okay. Does Hot Shot know?" he asked, whispering the last part.
"Yes, he knows, and I think he's just as confused as me, if not more. This is a lot to take in," I replied as I took a deep breath.
"I understand, I am always here to talk it through," he told me.
"Thanks," I said with a smile.
After, Star walked over to us.
"Somebot needs to take her to the trailer so we can get her to base. She has a broken leg and a piece of shrapnel in her torso," she mentioned.
"Hot Shot and I can," I offered.
Star nodded before going to the trailer. I went over to Hot Shot. We carefully carried her and set her inside. We drove back to base, which didn't take very long. Once we were there, Hot Shot carried our mom to the med bay. I stayed right by his side and Star followed close behind. Inside, he set her down on the table. I went over and sat next to my sparkmate. Hot Shot sat down on the opposite side of the room. Optimus took my hand in his. I smiled a little. After a few minutes, the doc bots were done.
"Okay, you should be good to go, Night Viper," she said before leaving.
"You should rest. We can talk tomorrow," I suggested as I stood up.
My mom nodded as Hot Shot, Ratchet, and I left.
"She seems nice," Optimus said as he came to my side.
"Yeah," I replied.
